Tsunami Cup, Ieyasu Strikes

[7 months later...]

It's been some time since we last seen Jalen..In the time where he and Ieyasu was training..Dio took the Rank E Circuit in Johto by storm with his Koroiryu and decimated all who comes before him in combat. The closest one who comes to beating him is Makoto trained by Raven with her great speed and accuracy..but her power cannot breach the defenses of Koroiryu..all the while Sukeru, Inigo's Scaled Hare, is doing well in the lower ends of Johto as well in Inigo's hometown of Kyota

Today, in August 2018, One such cup hailed in Kyota named the Tsunami Cup is beginning to start. a 4 monster single elimination cup with 1000G, not a lot of money to be won, but it's something. Among the 3 currently registered breeders is ofc, Inigo Howard in his bright blue Gucci jacket with black jeans with a belt with a sapphire on the buckle and a black shirt on along with sunglasses on his forehead and his Scaled Hare, Sukeru. At the moment, he's currently making his way to the Breeder's Lobby with Sukeru after greeting his adoring fans. Although Inigo's hometown is Kyota, due to his mother marrying a rich polictian in Tokyo, he's able to live the high life and made a small career of being essentially a pretty boy for the media to play off of, netting some money here and there(About 6000G-9000G depending on whatever event he's at).

As he turn the corner, he sees a black haired boy leaning against the wall chugging some beer in a flask, said boy is wearing a white jacket with a grey shirt and red pants with boots on. The smell of beer annoys Inigo as he knows this particular boy.

"Well, well...if it isn't Qrow...I hope that by seeing you, your lovely and alluring sister is in the lobby?" Inigo smirks as he look past Qrow and towards the door with the hopes of Raven behind them. Although his hopes are dashed to the ground as Qrow shakes his head and get off the wall. "Nah, she's not interested in this little exhibition..especially if there's no one here for her to compete against."

"Did she really said that? Oh, her words are just as sharp and filled with barbs as ever!" With a overdramatic gesture of being rejected, Inigo makes Qrow rolls his eyes as he chugs his beer some more. "No matter, This shall be a piece of cake for me, Sukeru here is in top shape for the match here and shall easily win!" To empathize that point, Sukeru does some fancy footwork in the hallway and throws some quick punches. "Easy there, Sukeru..." Inigo laughs with a small condescending manner "There's no need to show off, to do so would just scare everyone off"

"Listen man..You 1st off need to turn that ego of yours down...it's not gonna help you out in the long run." Qrow shakes his head, tired of Inigo's ego and his overconfidence. "2nd of all..." He leans in a bit closer to Inigo who grimaces at the smell of beer off of his breath. "Dude, breathmint?" "Shut up!....Anyway...There's a small rumor of a breeder with a Garu who's been making some waves in the more rural parts of Johto...heard his Garu's kinda tough and that he will be in this tourney. So I'm here to scout it out." Inigo scowls and walk past Qrow, annoyed that apparently there's someone who can threaten his spotlight. "Bah! It's nothing but a story made up by those who are merely jealous of my skill!" Sukeru nods in agreement as he stands by Inigo's side as Qrow facepalms and walk off. "Believe what you wanna believe in, pal...I'll be in the stands watching..." "Watching ME win ofc!"

Qrow shakes his head as Inigo laughs and enter the lobby with Sukeru

"(Jesus fuck, this guy is considered the #3 best rookie of this year?...how utterly embarrassing)" He soon take a camera out and inspect it as he make his way to the stands outside the dome. "(Oh well, no time to dwell on that, Raven will kill me if I don't take any vids of this.)" He soon find a seat by himself and place his feet on the empty chair below him and relax....

Meanwhile, Inigo and Sukeru are in the lobby with 2 other breeders, Grayson, a stocky white  teen with brown hair and his Big Blue(Golem/Tiger) Donovan, and a rather skinny teen with glasses named Nathan with his pure Mocchi, Takato. Inigo looks annoyed at the sight of no females in here.
"(Yeesh, what a sausagefest...oh well, this will make me stand out all the more!)"

"Inigo!" Grayson call out as he stands up and point at him. "I'll be taking my revenge on you from the last time we met!" Shaking his finger with a smug look, Inigo crosses his arms and glances at the fat teen. "Now, Now Grayson....You seem to have forgotten how last time went...Sukeru here ran circles around you dear Donovan here!" Sukeru smirks at Donovan who is silently fuming at the hare, remembering his defeat as he couldn't land a hit on him and lost via timeout. "That was then...this is now!!! I'll beat you, Inigo!!!" Grayson grits his teeth and ball his fist at the smug pretty boy...Inigo ignores him and go to the question at hand.

"Sooo..who's our last member here?" Nathan adjust his glasses and begin to speak with a nasally voice. "Well, according to what I've heard...it's just some rural bumpkin from down south of Johto with a Garu..nothing too noticable!" "(And yet Raven felt the need to have her brother come scout him out?...Something don't add up here...)" Let it be known that Inigo isn't all dumb..he does possess some smarts..Nevertheless, his ego can be quite blinding as evident by him shaking his head and walking to a chair and sitting down as Sukeru sit down next to him and sleeps. "Bah, he's probably some kid who's biting more than he can chew..just another person who I may have to crush to win this tourney!"

10 mins pass and the door is kicked open by a black male with a small afro of black hair on with a dark blue hoodie on with a white shirt underneath it. He have on matching blue sweatpants on with a red cap on his head with the hoodie up on as well. Besides his side is a Pure Garu with a smile on his face as he look around. His breeder have on a rather casual smile on as well as he greets everyone inside.

"Yo, I'm Jalen. Nice to meet you all, I'll be winning this tourney, so you guys can argue who's taking 2nd place, allright?"
"......What?"
"....That's...ummm..ok then."

"BWAHAHAAHAH!!!!" Grayson laughs out loud and point at the 2 newcomers. "YOU!?!? WINNING!?! MY SHIT HAVE A BIGGER CHANCE OF WINNING, BUDDY!" "Grayson, pls..." Inigo smiles and stand up as he approaches Jalen and lay a hand on his shoulder(Not noticing Jalen's slight change in his demeanor to that of being annoyed nor Ieyasu's shift in mood from happy to anger.)

"Ignore my more daft friend over there...I'm sure this is your 1st tourney? It's not polite to come in and burst that you'll be winning this, you know? Especially when more experienced breeders are in present like me." He gestures to himself with a dramatic pose as Sukeru follows suit. "I'm sure you heard of the great Inigo Howard and his amazing Sukeru, Yes?" "Nope." Jalen walk past him and sit down with Ieyasu following, which shocks Inigo and Sukeru. "Wha-what!?!"

Jalen leans back in the chair and look at everyone in present one by one before addressing them again with a confident look.
"I'll say it again, Me and Ieyasu are winning this. You 3 can debate on who's taking 2nd." Ieyasu growls in agreement as Grayson stands up and crack his knuckles. "You know, your arrogance reminds me of Inigo here..." "(I find that to be insulting...)" Inigo thinks to himself as Grayson points his fist at a calm Jalen. "So I hope I can fight you 1st so Donovan can crush your puny Garu!!"

"Sure, Looking forward to it." Jalen closes his eyes and sleep until eventually the time have come...the 4 teens and their monsters are escorted out to the arena. There's not that many people as it's just a Rank E tourney, in Kyota at that..Nevertheless, the loudest group is Inigo's fanbase of 30 girls all sitting together...Qrow ofc wake up as those girls's screams raise him out of his slumber. He fumbles with the camera before catching it in his hand and look at the arena. He spots the 3 breeders he knows before laying eyes on Jalen. "(Huh...so that's the guy the rumors been about?...He doesn't look all too threatening...)" His thoughts are more confirmed with Ieyasu yawning on the arena. "(Yeah..not threatening at all.)"

The bracket is announced and the 1st match is Sukeru vs Takato. Inigo's fanbase goes wild as Inigo waves to him before the match begins...Sukeru's speed is quite noticeable as he is able to stay out of Takato's ranges from his Slaps, Headbutts, and Thrusts and counter back with 1-2 Punch and Straight...before with 20 seconds left....Takato is quite tired and drained of health while Sukeru is still raring to go. He stops before Takato and rears a fist back as Inigo points ahead for his signature move...

"Kung Fu Fist! Let's go!"

Sukeru shouts as he leap forward and deliver a punch right on the stomach of Takato's soft belly, knocking the air out of the poor mocchi. Nathan and medical staff runs ahead to check on the Mocchi where Takato is quite fine, just out of wind at the moment. All the while Inigo waves and bows to the girls and even catches a rose from one of them with his mouth. All the while Qrow rolls his eyes as he videotape the matches...

Eventually, the next match is getting started with Donovan vs Ieyasu. Grayson is scowling hard at Jalen who looks bored out of his mind...
"Bring it on, Donovan here will make mincemeat out of your Garu!!"

Jalen yawns as does Ieyasu..

"Allright man, you ready?"
"LET'S GO!!!"

Donovan runs forward as the bell rings out and throw a punch out at Ieyasu who dodges out of the way with a cartwheel...Jalen looks to be very focused on the match as Qrow noticed with his camera taking this all in. "(Not as fast as Makoto, but still decently fast..)" "STOP RUNNING!!!" "No." Grayson growl as Donovan launches a Kick towards Ieyasu who dodges this again with ease...it's clear to Qrow that Jalen's simply wasting Donovan's Guts to make the monster not able to attack with dodges here and there.

"Donovan, Punch!!!" But Donovan simply shrug, out of Guts from the relentless attacks. "Damnit all! Oh well...we just gotta tank the attacks!!"
"Yeah, no. Ieyasu, Fire Upper."

Ieyasu shouts and with a great leap, jump right underneath the Big Blue and deliver a crushing uppercut of fire on Donovan's chin..knocking him upward off the air. The whole stadium is silent as Donovan's body is floating in the air as Grayson is watching in horror, Inigo and Qrow with shock..and Jalen with an expected look as Donovan's body land on the ground with a loud crash and Ieyasu is declared the winner.

"DONOVAN!!!" Grayson runs out and place his hand on his Big Blue's chest in worry as Medical Staff with a lift escort the golem to the medical center...seems Ieyasu did a lot of damage to the poor monster. As Grayson follows his monster to the medical center, Inigo look at Jalen who rubs his Garu's head with a prideful look... "Looks like you're not all bad..." He mutter to himself as Sukeru looks forward to fighting this newcomer. Qrow for his part looks rather puzzled at this new monster in the circuit. "(Kinda fight like Makoto, only more empathizes on power....)"
The match for 3rd place is canceled as Takato is declared the winner due to Donovan's injury. So the championship match is getting ready as Sukeru smirks at a bored Ieyasu.

"Jalen, right?" Inigo call out to him as his fangirls chants his name... "Sup?" Jalen call back to him as he crosses his arms with a nonchalant look. Inigo smirks and shakes his head. "I must admit, I was expecting Grayson to beat you...but this is a nice change of pace...now let's see how you can fare against the amazing Sukeru!!!" His Scaled Hare fists pumps at Ieyasu who looks at Jalen with a bored look...Jalen look at him back and nods as Ieyasu smirks. "(I don't like the look on that Garu...)"Qrow mused on as the bell rings out.(edited)

"Sukeru! Use 1-2 pun-"
"End it."

Ieyasu crosses the distance with a good burst of speed and lay down a Claw Combo onto Sukeru who wasn't expecting this at all. He's soon grabbed by his ears and is slammed on the ground a couple of times a la Mortal Kombat to Inigo's horror along with his fanbase and the rest of the arena's crowd...Qrow looks slightly shooked as well as Ieyasu slam Sukeru on the ground one last time to KO him.

"Wh-WHAT!?!? SUKERU!!!" Inigo runs out and cradle his Hare's body as Sukeru is badly injured from the attack with Ieyasu crowned the winner. His fangirls howl in anger as Qrow turn his camera off and head out the arena. "(Raven got to see this..)" Meanwhile, Jalen takes his money of 1000G and with Ieyasu, avoid the small amount of media there to get his interview and drive away from Inigo's angry fangirls...Inigo for his part is following his hare to the medical staff while thinking of how to get revenge on the bastard who did this.. "(I can't even fathom how he was able to do this!!!)"

Back at the Branwen Ranch, Qrow pulls up to the house and get out of his car with a slow walk. He opens the door with his key and walk inside...from the living room, he can hear sounds of a sandbag being punched in the basement...he makes his way down there to see his older twin sister in a workout clothing with her Wolfie(Garu/Tiger), Makoto, holding the bag as Raven does her own Katas....Qrow knows to wait and not interrupt her as the last time he did that..he got punched hard.
Eventually she stops and notice his presence...

"Qrow..."

"Yo...I got something you may wanna see..." He opens the camera and tosses the tape to her for her to catch, which she does and walk over to the TV and place the tape in the VCR underneath it. She sit on her couch as Makoto follows and sit down next to her as they watch the content.....

"......"

Soon, she digest what she've seen and look at Qrow with a calm look

"So he defeated Inigo in a humiliating fashion..and train a Garu as well...." She stands up and walk past him....
"...I'll be looking into this 'Jalen' more tomorrow morning...."
