- [21:07] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "Right. Just so it's above board. Want to tell Windy what you expect out of him and what's going to happen?"
- [21:07] Amoxtli Lelhua says, "Please don't let Ohtli kill me."
- [21:09] Windsor says, "I won't. I'll make sure of that, obviously."
- [21:09] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "You agree to that, Starseeker?"
- [21:09] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Good."
- [21:09] Windsor says, "If something happens, I spring to action."
- [21:09] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "I know you won't disappoint."
- [21:10] Amoxtli Lelhua says, "..."
- [21:10] Ohtli tugs at the knot of the loop that holds the mask to her belt. She grabs it along the forehead and holds it ready. It hums eagerly.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:10] Amoxtli seems on-edge. Very much so.
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:10] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "You're ready, then?"
- [21:10] Amoxtli Lelhua says, "'S I'll ever be."
- [21:16] The Drakan is evidently no less eager, the mask's will coloring her ever-so-slightly. She shifts in place and puts the raiment over her head and shoulders.
- The might of the Serpent, a sliver of which has been imbued in the artifact, flows through her. Her Drakan features, more tame than some, intensify. Her claws grow and the scales sprout up her arms like unruly vines.
- Life flickers to the lenses of the mask as it resumes its calling, its purpose. Ohtli sets her eyes on Amoxtli and examines her, studying her before beginning and taking note of the nature of her presence, the depth of the corruption.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:22] The Drakanite shifted her wings, standing ambiently in the empty room as the flame flickered behind her. There was certainly little places where Gluttony had left its mark, being sealed and not gone; her teeth were unnaturally sharp in a carnivorous nature, her talons ever-sharp and designed to tear flesh.
- However, the main stretch of it was contained, sealed away in her stomach where gluttony started. If Ohtli could divine the such, the gluttony was likely originally caused by starvation followed by feast, and repeat- along with the help of a corrupted fae's influence. Fueled by unnatural cannibalism and an obsession with protecting food and drink, some qualities still persist if one knew Amoxtli well enough.
- She had been a powerful Gluttony. One that boosted the strength of Gluttonies to come; perhaps the first to survive on Agartha. Yet, it was sealed, ribbon-like Order bounds once weaved by Raya now nothing more then strings of Order.
- "Ta' fuck're yah doin'?" Amoxtli stared back, frowning tensely.
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:32] Ohtli goes entirely still for at least a minute. Maybe two or more. Her head move to examine Amox but never moves more than an inch form its point of origin.
- There she can see it, plain as day. Without the mask's assistance she might not have been able to locate it otherwise. She might've sensed it, sure, but now she has a visual.
- The Drakan lifts the dreadful clawed hand and starts towards Amox. Her eyes are trained right on her belly. The source of that corruption, like a writhing den of starving snakes held in check by thin tethers of light. Tethers that were waning.
- "Sealing..." she growls disdainfully. "No...No need to 'seal' what I can tear out."
- She bares her teeth and flexes her dagger-tipped fingers.
- "Hold still. It will be gone."
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:43] Fluffing up her wings, the Drakanite tensed up as Ohtli spoke, snarling visibly at the words. Defensively she straightened her posture, but for now, she didn't move. More of a visual challenge other then anything else, told non-vocally as most things with the Drakanite were.
- Though, she wasn't reaching for her weapon. The Drakan was cooperating, for the time, no matter how visibly scared or distressed she was.
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:45] The astrologian stood some distance behind the mask-wearing magus, folding his arms across his chest. He was only vaguely aware of what he should be expecting from here, despite his experience with the mask thus far. "...Calm down, Caretaker," he spoke quietly, approaching from the rear.
- "If you're overstepping your bounds, I'm going to tell you." He looked over in Amoxtli's direction for a moment. "...If she's overstepping her bounds, tell me." An insightful man, this. Regardless, he neared her, all but standing by the Drakanite's side to preside over the activity.
- While he might have seen one successful 'corruption-ectomy,' too much movement from either party would surely make things difficult.
- (Windsor)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:53] The puffing doesn't deter her. On instinct she matches the puff and fluff, her feathers fanning to make herself appear larger and more intimidating. Not that the mask didn't already do its part there.
- Her claws flex again, now charged with a dim light that's not too different from the waning bindings on Amoxtli's sin. But this light is newer, brighter and sharper. Her eyes briefly flick towards Windsor in recognition, if not acquiescence, of his words.
- The hand that isn't clawed, by merit of being made of mythril, reaches out to take Amoxtli's shoulder. It's not aglow with Order and the life-stream given energy but it's bound to bring the former sin immense discomfort. Perhaps even more fear.
- Ohtli does stand as an anathema to what lies hidden in the elder Drakanite and nothing on Agartha can hide it.
- "Brace," she snaps. It's not a request anymore. It's a warning. The hand on her shoulder is meant to hold Amoxtli steady. Nothing more.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:01] In response, the Drakan's wings begin to spread further and further. The golden and gold-green feathers shine bright with the ambient holy wind that her entire half-shift was constructed from, feathers on her back and around her neck fluffing up when the hand was placed.
- There's a faint movement of wind in the room, a gentle swirl that causes the fires in the background to dance and sway. Amoxtli snarled more, glancing at the hand on her shoulder before glaring at Ohtli, feet dug into the rug below her.
- "Fine." A statement aimed at both Windsor and Ohtli, as she kept her hands to her side, not reaching for her weapon.
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:13] Compliance made it easy. It was going to happen either way at this rate. The wind picks up, beyond Amox's gale and the brazier that lights the room is suddenly snuffed out.
- There is only light from the magi now and naturally the most immediate source for the two Drakan's are Amox and Ohtli's magics and quite possibly the astrologist's ever-glinting astrolabe.
- It makes what happens next all the more disorienting and frightening.
- The sharpened, purging claws plunge into Amoxtli's belly. There's the stab of physical pain that mingles with a -meta-physical one. Her claws don't just stab into flesh; they stab into something that's become a part of her.
- When the claw yanks back out it drags something rope-like and slimy with it.
- In the dime light it almost looks like the other Drakan's intestines. Thankfully it's not. It's something arguably worse. While the claw plunged into flesh itdidn't grab onto viscera. It hauls out instead a manifestation of Amoxtli's greed for all around her to witness.
- As a reflection of her own hunger it manifests as a snake, long and coiling with ichor-plastered feathers around its head in a mane. A mockery of the true and blessed Serpent. Its jaws open blindly, its face eyeless, and it cries out in primal hunger.
- The exorcism mixes with a nightmare.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:24] As the room darkens, the Drakanite surrenders control of the wind to whoever was affecting it. However, she doesn't pull her wings closer, keeping her gaze up upon on Ohtli. Tension, until the other Drakanite moved.
- At the pain inflicted by Ohtli, Amoxtli shys back, but it's unlikely the sudden movement would be enough to break Ohtli's grip. She'd suddenly bite down on her lower lip to resist a scream, drawing her own blood, but she still gives Ohtli a chance. A small one, with whatever trust was there waning.
- She shuts her eyes, waiting for this to be over, trying to increase the amount of time she would stand this before becoming fully defensive.
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:29] Windsor remains ever-vigilant where he stands, keeping his astrolabe drawn out in case it's necessary. He amplifies the light emanating from the globe to some degree as the braziers go out, but it doesn't seem to be enough - he almost does mistake the manifestation of gluttony incarnate for the Drakanite's intestines. Were that the case, Windsor was miles too late to actually prevent Amoxtli from dying. However, it seemed his trust in his companion was not misplaced.
- The nightmarish aberration made its hellish screech, and Windsor covers his ears upon instinct. Steadying himself, Windsor held his hands forward, barely scrutable in the light. "Calm, Amoxtli. The worst of it is passing. Just stay. Calm." He might have conjured up some gravity magic to keep her in place, were he not worried it might be considered an attack to the tensed-up Drakanite.
- Instead, he remains at standby, trying his utmost to keep the occasion as moderated as possible. "Do what you need to and be done with it, Caretaker. Best we don't drag this on and make her worry."
- (Windsor)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:32] The manifestation of Amoxtli's Gluttony sizzles and pops in her claws, frying in her very touch. It lets loose a maddening screech of pain. Ohtli holds it tight. The serpentine-abomination has nowhere to run and can get no purchase on her feathers and scales. Just as was intended.
- In both hands now the Drakan grabs it, stretching it tight even as it attempts futile escape. It is going to meet the fate of all things that the mask looks upon. To Windsor's worried words she gives a nod, thinly cognizant of his suggestion.
- Her jaws flash open and, in a sickening twist of divine irony, she -eats- the manifestation of gluttony by starting at its middle. The Devourer is devoured, even if it appears to be nothing but twisting smoke and air she consumes.
- Any physical pain is over for Amoxtli. Ohtli cannot speak for any potential pain beyond that.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:46] "I 'M CALM."
- Amoxtli snapped back, wings slamming into the dividers behind her before swaying to her side once again. Beating twice, she'd keep snarling, finally now trying to pull out of Ohtli's grip in order to escape away from the mask, and away from the presence of Order.
- It does, indeed, hurt- her Gluttony was still a part of her, and it had been for well over fourty years. No amount of trained restraint not to show weakness could stop her from screaming, just for a moment, before biting down on her lower lip once again, struggling.
- "Yah're ta' fuckin' ones- that 're INSANE."
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:51] The Drakan had relinquished her grip after taking the manifestation in both hands. Amoxtli is free- but now with a hole clawed into her gut.
- Ohtli takes a half step back and shivers, the cowl of feathers pulsing with a single flash of light. She peers at the former Sin through the lenses again to try and spot any lingering traces of the corruption.
- The Serpent will not tolerate a job half done.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:01] The Drakanite coughed at the injury, slamming back into the dividers and sinking to the ground as she puts pressure on the injury. Her eyes are still shut, the bottom of her mouth bleeding, she'd shake a little bit and finally glance at the world once again, glaring at Ohtli.
- There were still those minor, but present mutations in her body caused by the sin, having never been reverted. However, Amoxtli never really considered them corruption- it would be up for Ohtli to spot and decide that. Otherwise, any shell of her Gluttony had been ripped away from her, leaving a longing emptiness- something the Drakan hadn't had for a very, long time.
- "..fuck yah."
- Well, at least she's still being polite.
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:07] Overwhelming satisfaction floods the Drakanite. Vitality, vigor, and strength bolster her. These are gifts, a blessing, for a job completed and a reward for the righteous path walked.
- The job is done along with the Serpent's will. The mutations are not corrupted themselves, only marks left behind in its passing.
- While the mask remains it keeps her on a linear path. Now that the corruption is cleansed comes protection, staving off the return of Chaos and, naturally, death. Ohtli crouches and reaches back to her belongings.
- A few sparse belongings that make up a rudimentary 'medical kit'. She comes in close to examine the wound in Amoxtli's belly without any preamble whatsoever.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:18] She's hiding it, with her hand. Slouched on the ground, she'd move to keep a wing between her and Ohtli, intent on defending herself from whatever Ohtli had planned next. Not that she knew it was treatment, but it was likely she was quite defensive for the time being.
- "... I'd rather not be stabbed more."
- She speaks softly, but the Drakanite retains a stern strength in her voice. Someone of authority, of sorts. "..fuckin' 'ell."
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:18] Windsor says, "...er, Caretaker, why don't you take off the mask? She just wants to fix you up."
- [23:21] Ohtli doesn't respond well to the authority. She clicks her teeth together and snarls. But, at the astrologist's suggestion she starts to remove the mask. With -utmost- reluctance. Like pulling the tooth from a jaguar or an ornery crocodile.
- "Don't be stupid. I'm not going to stab you...Let me see it. I've been reading some texts to treat injuries. I'm not going to just let you bleed everywhere."
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:23] Amoxtli Lelhua says, "..fine. It's.. fine."
- [23:24] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "It's not fine. Just...let me see, damnit."
- [23:24] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "Do you want your son to see you like this? Or the others? With a big hole in your belly?"
- [23:24] Amoxtli grumbles, moving her wing side as well as her hand. It's a rather bad injury, given where Ohtli had stabbed her.
- (Amoxtli Lelhua)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:24] Amoxtli Lelhua says, "I can,.. find'a doctor. 'Nd I'm pretty sure my son 's one."
- [23:25] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "I might not be able to fix it, but I can at least stop it form bleeding everywhere...Hold still."
