You know when this would have been SUPER handy? THAT NEVER TO BE SUFFICIENTLY DAMNED ISLAND.

Apparently, purposefully flaunting the rules so that I bring a jump to its end, instead of actually trying to achieve the proper end, gets me something like this. Wherein I'm tasked with GOING INTO FANFIC-VERSIONS OF WORLDS. OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

I've used my gauntlet to travel to alternate versions of worlds, but I've never seen any with actual Mary Sues. I've dealt with Lovecraftian horrors without blinking an eye, but it's clear to me that this wasn't a jump I was sent to for entertainment, it was a punishment.

I'd better hope I don't get a backlash like that again.

On the other hand, it turns out that whatever the hell Mary Sues are made of, they empower the Black Blade nicely. Even if it seems to sparkle just slightly- oh, wait, no, I forgot to clean it off after I stabbed that last one. Nope, we're good.
