"I can't believe that I have to hear from other people that you were cheating on me." She shrugged, somehow - the blind woman caught the keys.

Asta needed a breather after all that. She seems calmer, now that she was outside the Vale. Had time to reflect on her own. She's positioned near a wall, so that she can overhear whatever's going on between Tonak and Ella.

She gives Regulus a small smile and wave when he approaches.

"Hey," she says as warmly and affectionately as she can.

"You seem... chipper."

She looks down at the hand that gripped her arm.

"Your a fool. I never cheated on you. Even the spirits can tell you that if im lying. I always been loyal to you. Anyone from the land and beyond could tell you that. I never left your side and risk it all. You can hate me all you want but I always stayed loyal the moment I made that vow. No matter what. You seen as many times I fought for you when even told me I was a fool to get involve in your fights."

Tonak just shook his head.

"I didn't come here to argue with you. I move on. I found someone who loves me now. She laughs with me and talks to me. We don't see each other all the time but she makes time for me. I honestly am happy for you. I am happy you moving up. But I am going to move far away."

He then walk on.

"Always know I loved you more than anyone I could ever love but this done and its time for me to move on. From everything."

He then walk over and hand his cloak over.

"I Tonak Botcher am resigning from the Grey Cloaks. Its been a honor and pleasure to serve you both." He say with a bow.

"You may hate me or you may spite me but I dont mind. I forever be grateful for all I done till this point."

The Lord Chancellor shrugged, but it was mainly for show.

"Well, I did just find out that I'm soon going to be able to see the world the way you do, and the concerns we had about my natural lifespan will be put to bed. Plus, I love you, a lot. So yes, chipper, even with Osrona's confirmed state."

So chipper he was openly saying it instead of using the bond.

Tonak was met with an impassive expression. Regulus...didn't really care enough to comment. Didn't know Tonak that well, really.

"Really? Never did - well, those friends of yours that you hold so dearly to yourself... Say otherwise. Multiple girlfriends, almost one in every city." Ella would sniff, raising her hand and wiping away some tears.

Her romance was something she would never ask the spirits. This was her life - not theirs to explain and tell her all about. She had to do the work herself...

As he spoke, resigned from the Greycloaks she shook her head. "You're becoming the one thing you told me you're scared of being... Of someone who runs Tonak." Her voice was calm, there was no anger or hate behind it.

She was actually behind somewhat nice to him...

"But alas, I hope you have a good life in Theria." She would shrug slightly and approach Asta's side, frowning slightly. There was a hint of jealousy there. To be able to run away from all your problems and start fresh.

Yet Ella would never run from her mistakes. No, sheconfronted them.

"You're free to come and spend time with our child - but I will not allow you to take with you to Theria… You have someone up there already Tonak - I have nobody. So at least, spare me that."

Those were her final parting words. She would handle this calmly - there was no need to become angry.

Asta leans into Regulus a little and chuckles at his excitement.

Short of giving him more children, she knew that this was probably the most gift she could give to him. It was a little selfish of her to be using one of the new hearts on Regulus, but she knew that Regulus would have to eventually be turned, anyway.

The second highest seat of power in Myllenoris was not for a human to hold. Not if it could be helped.

"It is an exciting thought," she says. "I love you for what you are, and who you are, but it seems... proper, to have you among us.

I just hope you know what you're getting into, my love. This can't be undone. I know you've reflected long and hard about this... and I know you do want... but it is a big change."

She gives a parting look to Tonak, and nods her head. She snaps her fingers, and a nameless, hooded servant steps forward, seemingly stepping out of the shadows themselves. He picks it up, and leaves without a word.

"Your resignation is accepted," she says. "Only because your weakness has been fully acknowledged. You separate from Ella, and you go and just... leave? Abandon your duties to the Vale? To Myllenoris? The Valeborn has no room for someone with such weak conviction. Such weak fortitude."

She waves her hand dismissively.

"Well, Ella, we'll be two Teraphim with children from Men we can't remember." She puts emphasis on 'men' to emphasize he wasn't a Teraphim. Asta gives Ella a quick, reassuring smile. "You are not alone. You have a family, in me. Us. Regulus and I."

His arm squeezes hers where the two are entwined.

"I do. I've seen Freya, Flotsam. Know that they're...different, afterwards. But I do want this. I do."

He'd been seriously thinking about it, on and off, for about five years at this point. He'd made his decision a long time ago, which of course was why he'd accepted without a second thought. He was Regulus. He'd always be Regulus. Just like Flotsam and Freya has essentially remained the same people. Just different. More, perhaps.

Asta dragging Tonak is met with an eyebrow raised in her direction, but he doesn't contradict her.

He would smile.

"Call it what you want. Say im running. Say im a coward. I served all my lifetime and back. I done it all for many years since the beginning. Even the very weapon you wear tells you that. I done more than mot and I become who I become. I am Tonak Botcher a man of greatness to many and failure to less."

Tonak held his head proudly.

"I will come see my child. I love my child more than anything. But they are old enough to come with me to Theria I will allow them to say yes or no to that." Tonak kept his smile.

"Nothing can ever change who I am Lady Asta. Nothing. I walk the path that comes before me. Truly if you ever never want to deal with me toss away the very things you carry on your backs. Those weapons and my legacy will forever be there with them. Those very materials and scribes I work my ass off to do. They always remind you that I made them. Anyone in this city will never forget my name. And soon I will makea impact upon the world to show even greater potential."

He look to his brother.

"Because....I never Botch."

He then look to Fin and Amy. "It was a pleasure serving with you two my friends. I will always consider you both my family even if you hate me for leaving like this bahahahah!"

He then look to Ella.

"Believe what you will but my heart never beat the way it did for anyone else except you. I maybe weak. A coward. A loser. But I was your loser. And I always say you as my winner. Always till now and forever. You may hate me but you always be a part of my heart. Thank you for all you done and I apologize for my words. I didn't mean them and I will miss you as a friend."

With that last drag, Asta turns her attention to Mel.

"They call me the 'Demon of Myllenoris', yes. But as you can see, I have no horns. I have no fangs. I'm just a Teraphim."

"No. Until my child is old enough to make up their own mind. They will not leave Myllenoris. Simple as." The woman gestured towards the house and the keys that she now held. If Ella wasn't around, or resting - he'd have to break into the house to take her child.

"Get out. Just leave. It's what you do best Tonak." She cleared her throat. "Your weapons are great... But that's all you want to be remembered as? Just a … smith? There are so many Artificers out there - and you're just... One of them. You're not special." She shook her head.

"The only two people on this continent that I can actually call gifted in their craft - Are Amalia in smithing, and Basten… In Alchemy, no matter how much I hate him." She shrugged.

"Please go. You're not happy here - you will never be happy here. I will not let you be happy here. So go. Don't come back. Touch my child without me being there - and I will personally have you arrested and sacrificed to some child spirit. It'll be great."

"The name belongs to Anabelle Lockwood, the leader of the Elysium Coven that once ruled Moonfall Valley," she says, as if reciting a history textbook.

The fingers came to a pause, the calmness in the voice moving.

"Nebula Lockwood, the granddaughter of Annabelle Lockwood; just as they brought demons to Esshar, well, let's assume that the next stage is the end."

A single smile came across, though the eyes seem to dwindle off to the side.

"Nebula Lockwood," Asta repeats. She shoots a quick look at Regulus, and cocks a brow up.

"Fascinating," she says in thought. She wasn't angry anymore. She was just clinically assessing every bit of information, now. She'd gotten her anger out already.

"She'll be found. She'll be destroyed. That's all there is to say on the matter. But thank you for this information. It may prove useful, somehow. Even if it does, just now, satisfy the curiosity of which bloodline she stems from."

"Do as you like I will spend time with my child. Say what you like. I spend time with my child. Ella all that matters now is me and my child. You probably tell them stories or more but honestly do as you please. Know that I will be sending coin for my child. I will be crafting for my child. I will always be with my child. Because I love that kid more than anything."

He then look to Asta.

"Oh trust me she is worth it. And you are correct she is way to good for me but it seems she likes me to much to let me go."

Though it was best to go now.

"No need for all that threats and stuff. I come see my child whenever they see me here or around. You can be present if you like. I never be mad about that. You can even me meet my future wife if you like when you are ready. I dont hate you Ella never will."

He then look to Erehn.

"Brother are you ready? Then off we go!" He say heading on out

However, someone aware of it might have more information.

Erehn had nothing to say or nothing to do with Myllenoris now that Tonak was leaving, he just tucked his hands into his pockets and prepared to walk off while wondering what would happen next.

Finley hugged Tonak back. He knew he couldn't stop the Ookami from making his choices like this, and while he might have disagreed with the reasoning, the two were long time friends.

"I'll miss your presence here. But I'm certain our paths will cross again soon." he said, pulling away from the hug to place a hand on Tonak's shoulder.

"This is only goodbye until then."
