"No more, Arc. No more!"

I was already pushing fire into the Ironwood to try and form a shield behind me – ready to etch `Seal` into it – but it was slow. Too slow. Black light coalesced in her hand. It shot out with a horrific blast. There was no chance of escaping it.

Boots cracked down behind me. Green light exploded over me.

The sound of the attack striking the dome was like water on a glass bowl. It shot above and around, penetrating the cliff and tearing out great chunks of rock. The man behind me grunted and slid back, his body touching mine as the force of the attack threatened to overwhelm him.

A purple chain snapped out and around Salem's wrist, dragging her off target. The beam cut through the rock above and to the left, sliding away from us. The dome fell, as did his saviour's hands, smoking badly as the Spellburn ate away at his skin.
