  1.
  2. It takes two more crowds, a couple wrong tries, and more than a couple minutes, but I find it.
  3.
  4. The door’s shut when I find it, but since there’s no light slipping through the crack underneath, I figure there’s no one there.
  5.
  6. And, you know, like an idiot, just barge on through.
  7.
  8. [BANG SFX]
  9.
  10. ???
  11. Ouch!
  12.
  13. Just to get treated to the sight of a couple totally making out against the counter. Or, well, not currently because of the whole door hitting thing, but they’re still holding each other and they were here together, and one wasn’t leant over the toilet while the other held their hair up or something, so I mean --
  14.
  15. DIANA
  16. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean --!
  17.
  18. I hesitate when I recognize [Madison/Forrest/Sebastian/Yvonne] rubbing [her/his] shoulder, the person [he/she] ran off with slumping down to half-lean on the counter.
  19.
  20. I freeze when I see the blood.
  21.
  22. It has to be, even if it looks all gross and black in the candlelight. It’s just gushing out of the other [guy/girl]’s neck in a way that can’t be healthy, and I can barely make out the two even tears in [his/her] throat they stem from.
  23.
  24. [Madison/Forrest/Sebastian/Yvonne]’s mouth is slathered in it too, even down to the teeth. It only takes a second for [her/him] to wipe at [her/his] mouth with a hand and then -- lick it, gross - to let go and reach for a towel.
  25.
  26. [Madison] then turns on me, eyes glowing and absolutely furious.
  27. Can you literally not fuck up a single night?
  28. [Forrest] looks at me with glowing eyes wide and frantic.
  29. It’s not what it looks like!
  30. [Sebastian] looks at me, then returns his attention to his … uh, corpse?
  31. Would you be a dear and close the door? You’re absolutely ruining my ambient lighting.
  32. [Yvonne] looks at me from under her lashes, her smile promising murder, eyes shining bright like a cat with its next prey.
  33. It’s rude to interrupt a meal, you know.
  34.
  35. DIANA
  36. “What? I don’t...”
  37.
  38. There’s one last chance I’m misunderstanding it all and the klaxons screeching in my head are for nothing. Totally. Yeah.
  39.
  40. I fumble for the lights, smacking the switch with a clammy palm.
  41.
  42. Vamp
  43. “!!”
  44.
  45. The fangs stand out all the more prominently in [Madison/Forrest/Sebastian/Yvonne]’s mouth as [he/she] blanches.
  46. [If Forrest: He definitely wasn’t wearing those before. I would’ve seen them during the ritual thing.]
  47. [If Others: Those definitely weren’t part of the costume.]
  48. My heart drops to the pit in my stomach and my mouth goes dry.
  49.
  50. VAMP
  51. “Wait --”
  52.
  53. [She/he] takes a step forward and stumble, glancing down. I forgot that we’re not the only ones here. [Name] mutters a curse under [her/his] breath and tries to pick the -- that was a groan, okay, not-corpse, not yet -- back up as they ragdoll.
  54.
  55. Definitely out of it. Definitely real blood smeared all over. Oh God.
  56.
  57. I take my chance and bolt.
  58.
  59. Well, the best I can -- more of a power skip where I lean on my good foot. That time I broke my leg Senior Year is finally paying off.
  60.
  61. (vamp) calls out my name and it just makes the blood rush louder in my ears.
  62.
  63. Logistically speaking, jumping straight to the supernatural option would be a reach in most circumstances.
  64.
  65. Even with the blood and the fangs. [He/she] could’ve just been awful at hickeys. Or super into that. Or a cannibal. Tis the season and all that.
  66.
  67. But magic or not, I have a feeling that sticking around wouldn’t have done me any favors.
  68.
  69. And the other person -- God, okay, it takes a hot second to grab a lift anyway, I’ll find Robin let him know, and -- okay, okay.
  70.
  71. Lift and call the cops and text Robin to let him know that someone might’ve just been murdered in his bathroom while I get the hell out of dodge. Perfect.
  72.
  73. [It’s not like I could do much against someone as beefy as Forrest.]
  74. [I could’ve maybe managed against Sebastian. Maybe. But I doubt lady luck’s on my side tonight.]
  75. [I could probably take a fight against Madison/Yvonne, but with teeth like that? Yikes. Yikes.]
  76.
  77. I run, but I forget to be careful partway through.
  78.
  79. The front door’s in sight when I feel a sharp pain shoot up my leg, and everything tilts sideways.
