Fluff: Mikasi was one of those kids who grew up talking three languages and playing with gadgets. Never really the popular kid, he played soccer, researched his dad's family line of shaman leaders, and did a lot of programming and gadget building in his spare time. While he never fully picked up the sort of touch of magic his father did, his mother encouraged his technical gifts, which soon allowed him to create what he could only term as 'magical beam weapons', which caught enough attention for him to be recruited to the academy.

A nerd and introvert to a logical point, he is most comfortable with other gearheads, and otherwise keeps to himself. He may own a hunting knife he used to use when hunting with his father, but no one knows where he keeps it on him.
