Translation FAQ

When done?
I try to update longer stories every 1-2 days. If that's too slow for you, the JP text is (usually) available on the translation spreadsheet.

Why do characters say the funny things?
I try to keep most character quirks intact one way or another since they're generally fun and make each character more memorable. If you find them intolerable, be patient until someone else localizes the translation for Rayshift / video.

What is "っ"?
I normally used to leave these out, but lately I feel some are important enough to leave in. っ when used in something like っ...! or っ... is the character gasping for air, grunting, holding back tears, etc. You could also think of it as the "anime grunt." It's a vocalization meant to help show what the character is feeling or reacting to.

Why are the things the Kimochi say in battle not translated?
I may go back at some point and do that, but to keep it simple, each Kimochi vocalizes something representative of their emotion. One laughs in battle, one cries in battle, etc.

Why do you use "Mahou Shoujo" instead of "Magical Girl(s)?"
Because that's what I've been typing for months now out of habit, and I'm too afraid to change at this point it in case someone prefers it \(>д<;)/

May I use your translations for a video / redistribute it?
If you can somehow avoid copyright strikes for music, go for it. As long as you credit me (and possibly mention you modified what I wrote, that's cool too), I don't care where you post it or how you alter it.

Why are videos using your translations different from your pastebin translations?
Videos generally use modified scripts and "jsons" are made for the Rayshift patch to match the style of the NA version of Magia Record, for better or worse. If you prefer one style over the other, the spreadsheet should have both versions (when available).
