Background:  jaemin grew up in a poor family where she had to take care of all her relatives and her and her mother had to get jobs. she was a hard worker as she didn’t want her family to suffer. as she grew older, she learned of a love for dancing when she was in town and saw a group of boys performing. she was mesmerized and immediately told her relatives about the experience. then on she would practice various dances on her spare time and she grew to enjoy dancing and want to pursue a career in it. she thought if she was famous and made a lot of money, her family wouldn’t suffer and would finally be proud of her. so she found the group of boys who performed the first time she saw it and they let her into their group. she was their star dancer and they treated her like a sister. she attended school with the boys and they introduced her to more of their friends who she is still friends with. she was noticed by many of her teachers who told her to try out for a real company since she was pretty good. but she was scared because she thought she wouldn't get in because of her living in a small poor town. but she finally gained the courage to audition for a real South Korean music company when she watched 2ne1 perform on her friends TV. she got accepted as a trainee and ended up debuting solo. now, she’s pretty popular as a korean artist and wants to try new things by appearing on the new matchmaker show that her trainee friend suggested she go on.

Why you chose him: “I really admired him when I was a college student, and i was apart of an dance crew. We used to do so many covers of popular songs. One day when we were watching one of ZE:A’s performances for ‘Breathe’ I was mesmerized by his vocals and charisma on stage. That’s when I started to like him more and i’m glad we’re finally paired up and I get to see him in person.”

Have you guys met?: “No, not yet at least. I’ve always just been one of his fans, admiring him from afar. I wish we had promoted at the same time, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.”
