- THE WORLD
- Dualtwin (the name of the world after "the merging")
- Dualsol (Artie's world, the light side)
- Twinluna (Allie's world, the dark side)
- a world split in two halves: a fantasy-like world stuck in eternal daytime (an eternal blue sky, unlike Yanside's perpetual orange sky) and a modern-day-like world stuck in eternal nighttime
- The day world, Dualsol, is blessed by sun god Brighton and the night world, Twinluna, is blessed by moon goddess Twila
- (in a twist of irony, there aren't two suns or moons in either world, pre- or post-merge)
- was originally two separate worlds, called "Grandsol" and "Highluna" respectively, but became one after an experiment made by both worlds to combine them
- people are inconsistent on what to call them; Grandsol or Dualsol; Highluna or Twinluna
- the day-night cycles "broke" after the worlds merged
- in Dualsol's nighttime, even though there is no sun in the sky, the sky is still blue
- meanwhile, in Twinluna's daytime, the sun is in the sky, but the sky is still black
- both are due to the respective worlds' lightkin/darkkin lingering in the sky
- not completely fantasy/modern-day-like, has modern-day elements in the fantasy world and fantasy elements in the modern-day world
- THE SPLITTING
- both worlds were split in two after an alleged war
- THE MERGING
- an experiment to recombine the worlds using Brighton, Twila, and the Grand Mirror
- also an attempt to bring peace between both worlds, not knowing why they were split in the first place
- SOLERIA
- The castle city located in Grandsol/Dualsol
- LUNERIS
- the biggest city of Highluna/Twinluna
- SYLVARANT PORT/TETHE'ALLA PORT
- Dualsol/Highluna's major port towns, respectively
- THE GRAND MIRROR
- A mysterious mirror that, in the light world, shows the dark world, and vice versa. Even after the merging, it still shows each other's "worlds". Sometimes shows a mysterious third world with a golden sky.
- Is an interdimentional portal to not only the three mentioned worlds, but countless others
- BRIGHTON AND TWILA
- The name of the both worlds' sun and moon, respectively
- The day god Brighton, and the night goddess Twila were once good blessing the respective worlds with "lightkin" and "darkkin", until the merging
- there were many different Brightons and Twilas over the ages, each passing on their powers once their time is up
- the merging "killed" both, the latter choosing Allie's mom as the new Twila, the former dissolved before he could choose a new one. A ritual was made to turn a person into a new host for the "special" lightkin (aka Brighton) and Artie's dad chose to be the host
- Years after the merging, two people with a device that can "corrupt" lightkin/darkkin and claim to be "Brighton" and "Twila" appeared, only to cause chaos and destruction in both worlds
- LIGHTKIN AND DARKKIN
- Literally light energy, and dark energy, respectively
- Normally the power source/magical energy for the respective worlds, but can be "corrupted", turning into energy beings
- "Corrupted" lightkin can turn creatures into light-possessed demons called the "Luminous"
- "Corrupted" darkkin is both the power source for "Dark Piercers" (robots) and can also turn creatures into "Darklings"
- Luminous and Darklings lose some of their senses, but turn back to normal after being subjected to the other world's energy (they regain their senses, but lose memories of being Luminous/Darklings)
- Luminous can still survive in the dark world and Darklings can still survive in the light world, as long as they're not subjected to darkkin/lightkin
- For some reason, neither Artie nor Allie are Luminous or Darklings, yet they carry both lightkin and darkkin in their bodies
- Having a mix of both (must be a 1-1 ratio, otherwise the majority energy dissolves the other energy) causes "annihilation energy" (read: the Annihilator beam from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes) to happen, has no effect on normal beings, but causes both Luminous and Darklings to go back to normal
- However, having a potent mix of "corrupted" lightkin and darkkin turns any creature into "Null", nigh-invulnerable beings that can only destroy
- Null can also be created by merging a Darkling with a Luminous (it's not as easy as it sounds)
- only "positive energy" can restore Null
- Every attempt to "restore" Null results in the host(s) being severly injured or worst case scenerio, being killed
- ARTIE/ALLIE'S POWERS
- Due to Brighton/Twila's blessing, their bodies now generate and gather both lightkin and darkkin and store them in their hands and feet, called "positive energy"
- by concentrating, they can gather more positive energy in their hands/feet, enlarging them
- both can also release the energy to shrink them back to normal, but once they stop concentrating, the energy regenerates, causing them to go back to huge size
- positive energy effects most things they touch, they can make things grow by having something in their hands and enlarging them, going back to normal size whenever they feel like it or after some time has passed, this also affects living things
- the positive energy also protects their hands/feet (and only those), making them immune from heat/cold, and can also be used for guarding
- THE ABYSS
- The realm where some of the "missing parts" of Dualtwin went, literally floating continents in a realm of nothingness
