  6.
  7. +cabadejo __ Yes - there could be two applications for the term "doubt exhaustion". Such as so many doubts arising that you 1) just shut off to them all (but not in the sense of watching a "NASA" clip and ignoring where he fumbles with the mic or misspeaks or gestures incorrectly etc. - those are blocked out strictly due to "doubt suppression" and that remains relevant at all times - it happens to all people - even those who are "doubt fatigued" or "doubt weary" or "doubt fresh"!).
  8.
  9. And I can also see the term having relevance where 2) a person is constantly saying "this is fake, this is fake, this is fake" and the other person (such as a family member or friend) shuts off to these claims - which puts that "normal person" at risk of *missing out* on something genuine.
  10.
  11. __
  12.
  13. That seems to be another utility of "disinformation".
  14.
  15. With so much disinformation it gives an eager "conspiracy theorist" something to constantly talk about but because it is flawed and because a "normal person" who is "belief controlled" that something is "real because it's real" the "normal person" will more easily see the disinformation for what it is and dismiss it.
  16.
  17. After going through this ritual dozens of times in a row the "Pavlovian response" to the "drooling excitement of the conspiracy theorist" is to shut down and at best only half listen (or impatiently listen out of politeness).
  18.
  19. *And in this way a "normal person" can miss out on something genuine because of all the "false positives" that have led up to it.*
  20.
  21. When I have pointed things out the "damage control" response seems to be to talk about the myriad of unrelated disinformation and then conclude "all those false things are false and so even though I cannot see why this would also be false - surely it must be!"
  22.
  23. I have encountered that "strategy" several times.
  24.
  25. X and Y and Z all turned out to be nonsense therefore A is also nonsense (even though A seems to be a legitimate observation).
  26.
  27. Having a lot of disinformation allows this "stacking" approach to create a bigger psychological impact and be more successful.
  28.
  29. __
  30.
  31. *Anyway!* _I can thus see a use for both possibilities._
  32.
  33. Since I no longer try to talk about these things to people in my day-to-day life it hasn't been on my mind.
  34.
  35. I am mindful that at some point I need to put together something for the "black sheep" to show their family. The "package" will need to be something watertight that can be used to awaken the family to the *lie system* (and not to a specific lie system event or claim).
  36.
  37. But since this "doubt fatigue" concept has come up it really should be something that appears at the start of something that is aimed for "normal people" to see. To acknowledge that they will have seen a lot of "nonsense" before finally getting to something genuine. And thus to pay attention.
