History of Arenen

About 200 years ago, the planet was nearing it’s peak of technology. Then it happened, there was a dimensional rip. The planet earth, and some unknown alternate version of it, broke down and fused together. Earth’s science was made obsolete to their magic, especially in comparison to the Quinth Weapons. The Quinth Weapons are a form of enchantment, gained from clearing “Dungeons” a dungeon is basically a vast, unexplored area. Usually defined by walls that reach so far to the sky that the top is impossible to see, and somewhere near the center lay a treasure trove. Each Quinth Weapon is imbued with the spirit of a Quinth, much like a genie. These Quinth allow powers beyond the wildest dreams of the capturer. Some granting power over the elements, and some granting power of control over light and darkness, and in the beginning some dungeons were capable of granting immortality.. The most notable being the man who went down in history as a god, his name was Relvar. Clearing his first dungeon, he gained power over an air elemental Quinth, he then used this power to gather a Quinth of each of the other elements. Then, after gaining immortality, he helped the love of his life to gain a Metaphysical Quinth, a being capable of manipulating the soul and ethereal energy of every living thing. Using this metaphysical power, she fused his four Quinth together, creating one super being that held even more power than thought possible. Even by metaphysical standards. He was granted  complete control over all aspects of the physical realm, but at the cost of the woman whom he had loved for so long. The strain of not only fusing his Quinth together, as he had requested, but also by making Relvar himself the vessel for his Quinth. The team went on to set the world to order again, but now evil stirs. And he is recruiting new heroes to set the balance back. Hand-picking the most promising of warriors, he gathers them together in the capital of Danton. Their first quest? To gather their own Quinth and make the journey to the holy city of Dassar, to endure training for their greatest feat: to defeat the evil that has made itself known to the world. Another immortal by the name of Aricken.
