If only words were enough
To describe what you mean to me
If only colors painted the story
That would lead us to eternity
If only music made the road
Upon which we could dance
If only time could stop for now
And I could drink you in a glance
If only I could paint your beauty
That’s sweeter than any rose
If only any poem did it justice
Or really any sort of prose
You deserve the epic songs
Written throughout time
You deserve much more than
This silly little rhyme
But this is what I have to offer
My gift from me to you
And it comes from the heart
So you know it must be true
You beauty goes much further
Than only just skin deep
It weaves throughout your being
And for this I must keep
You close to my heart
And never let you go
Your fingers entwined in mine
Our bodies laid just so
Your soul is tied to mine
In an epic sort of dance
And if I may be so bold
I’d like to take the chance
To worship you so sweetly
The way you ought to be
Mind, soul and body
From every part of me
If you grant me this pleasure
Then I can prove to you
That I know for sure
That our love is true
For you are my everything
The joy in all my pain
The perfect beautiful flower
The rainbow in my rain
So I gift to you my words
To show you that I care
From the tips of your toes
To the last strand of hair
You mean the world to me
In every sense of the word
And I am happy to prove it
And will not be deterred
From making you feel
As if you are the best
Brighter and more unique
Better than the rest
So thank you for all
You do for not just me
Thank you from everyone
Because everyone can see
Just how wonderful you are
And how much you mean
To everyone you meet
And everyone who has seen
The light that shines from you
And onto everyone
For you shine even brighter
Than the very sun
Thank you for letting me see it
And everyone to bask
In your warmth and glory
And you never ask
for anything in return
happy, in your heart
in this place we have earned
so I wish to give you you
what you have given to us
though mere words are sad
and seem Superfluous
so lets dance on the road
made of music and love
and hope its enough
and what dreams are made of
