51. In the year 2071, the Solar System is linked by a network of hyperspace gateways. Police lose their grasp on crime and a bounty hunting system has been implemented. On an old fishing starship called the "Bebop," a cool as Zen man of mystery, a macho former hard-boiled cop, a brash and fickle woman with a large debt, a whimsical whiz kid hacker and an unsuspecting Welsh Corgi band together to hunt bounty heads for a meager living. Unfortunately, they are some of the unluckiest people in the star system. These are the stories of the adventurous (and misadventurous) lives of four struggling people and a dog.
 52. Spike Spiegel is a bounty hunter in the far future with an easy going attitude and some deadly skill at martial arts. Together with his partners, Jet Black, and later Faye Valentine as well, they go from job to job across the galaxy looking for the high priced fugitives to bag.
 53. Do you love Music? Or Do you love Western? Or Do you love Space fiction? If you love one of these, you will love Cowboy Bebop.

This is what an anime fan could get after a month worth of prayers. Spike, Faye, Jet, Ed and Ein (Data Dog) are the lead characters. Its about a group of Bounty hunters looking for money, they *almost* succeed in catching the big fishes but never get the money that they deserve. Spike appears to be the central character with a troubled past who joins hand with Jet, a veteran ISSP Cop. Other characters join in over time. Everyone acts on his own and no one expects others to help them in the acts.

There are some episodes that got little to do with the main story but then there are some where the main story eats up even the opening theme. Its a high action and drama anime, Highly recommended for everyone ( including people who quite never loved the "past" and "memory" based anime )

Buy it. Rent it, only if you can't buy it!

For me the movie also turned out to be above expectations. I would rate that little above the series.
 54. It blew the squid-logs right out of my noggin. It was like Dingo Chavez took an M-16 and blew out my brains--or closer, Golgo 13 doing the same, but dead between my eyes. There's no point in describing the premise, because I could never do it justice with words. I don't care what you enjoy; the show itself says (and aptly) that "Cowboy Bebop" is a genre unto its own. It's the culmination of action, sci-fi western, drama, and kick-ass characters. A lot of people might have seen this in their youths; I, however, did not. Perhaps strangely to some, but I'm glad to have seen this first in my adulthood. It's that kind of show you can't truly appreciate for what it is until you're well past your anime entry days. To see it objectively, you can't have nostalgia for it, and damn, did I see it objectively, and DAMN was it good. It doesn't need nostalgia or anything else to make it great, except for a DVD player to slam all the disks in on a marathon viewing. This is all going without a word on the music. Let me put it plainly: John Williams is a poser next to this stuff, and I ain't foolin'. The music of Cowboy Bebop is unparalleled. Every time I hear "Blue" from the end of the series, I tear up like Father McKenzie. The opening and ending themes, "Tank!" and "Real Folk Blues," respectively, are peerless, and while the ending animation isn't the greatest I've ever seen, it's fitting, and the beginning animation is the greatest I've ever seen. People who die without seeing Cowboy Bebop won't die happy. As for me, my last word will be, "Bang," and my tombstone will read, "See you, Space Cowboy."
