Humans
traits: explorers, they're humans okay what the fuck do you want me to say more than that
Humans are from a water-covered planet called Earth or Terra, depending on who you ask.
In the late 21st century, private businesses formed makeshift nations on environmentally-controlled and terraformed portions of the moons and planets of the Sol system as warring states turned the Earth into one big battlefield.  However, after the wars ended, one world government was established on Earth and the world was at peace.  Meanwhile, the corporate civilizations turned either facist or anarchic, and space became a dangerous place--especially with the Earth's population growing beyond its means without war or disease to limit the population.  Things were getting crowded, and it looked like those terraformed colonies in the solar system were great places to send its population.  What followed was several hundred years of war, unrest, war, third-party raiding, nuclear detonations, more war, and a series of minor kerfuffles on a Martian dancefloor.  At the end of it, out of the flames of war arose a single, united humanity, occupying nearly every square acre of available space on all the solid planets in the solar system.  [unfinished]


Sisili
traits: aristocratic, vain, religious
Tall, androgynous, humanoid people with skin in various shades of blue and purple.  They have pupil- and iris-less eyes of a lighter shade of their skin tone.  Instead of (but similar in appearance and function to) hair, a smooth, fleshy something grows out of their head.  It is sensitive, but does not hurt when damaged.  Their ears are round mounds with a divot in the center.
Sisili are almost uniformly obscenely wealthy.  They make up most of the Orion-Cygnus arm's government, including the president, prime minister, emperor, and prime emperor.  They justify their obscene wealth total control by divine right--they believe their god, Lasisi, gave them divine right to all that exists in the universe.  While most are content to simply rule over other races, some take this to mean that they should own and populate every habitable planet and even exterminate other races.


Kindroi
traits: reserved, loyal, tech-savvy
Kindroi are robotic beings.  They are divided roughly in half into two roles--hardware and software specialists.  In order to reproduce, one hardware and one software kindroi get together and build and program a new one.  It is built and programmed slowly, bit by bit and becoming more advanced over time.  Over their lifetimes, kindroi take on different roles in their community, starting with simple, mindless tasks such as floor-cleaning and ending with being integrated into their ship's memory banks at the end of life.  Most mature kindroi are humanoid, but a select few are built to be more monstrous.
Kindroi live their entire life cycles in large spaceships, rarely leaving their ship of origin or even having much of a concept of a universe outside of it.  Most of these ships wander the Arm, seeking fuel, parts, and resources in exchange for salvage and services.  Each ship is different, with its own history, lore, and version of how their race came to be.  No reliable records of their actual origin exist.  Due to the nature of their origin, buttons, switches, ports, wires, etc. are all considered obscene in the same way that sex organs are for biological races.  As such, much of the insides of their ships and almost the entire body is typically wrapped in cloths.  Most kindroi never leave their home ship--the few that do typically do so to trade or to scavenge and never to interact with other races.  On rare occasions, one may travel to another kindroi ship to collaborate with the opposite reproductive role and share their ship's unique tradition of hardware or software design or simply to establish a bond between the two ships, much like an arranged marriage between the children of two feudal lords or primitive tribes.
