  1. [13:19] <PlebeiAnon> The space is ambiently lit from no apparent source. On the wall opposite to you, is a structure that looks to be a fireplace that has had brickwork laid across the opening. You have no recollection of how you arrived here, nor any clues, seeing as how the room lacks any other openings. Scattered about the floor are a pry bar, an array of small coins and about a meter's worth of string.
  2. [13:19] <Jolt> Can I punch it
  3. [13:20] <PlebeiAnon> The bricks leave a dull ache reverberating through your hand and wrist.
  4. [13:20] <Jolt> I punch the string
  5. [13:21] <PlebeiAnon> Your fist mostly hits the floor, reviving the ache in it.
  6. [13:22] <Jolt> Pick up the crowbar
  7. [13:23] <PlebeiAnon> You take up the crowbar. Its weight feels solid, as well-tempered cast iron should.
  8. [13:23] <Jolt> Remove pants
  9. [13:23] <PlebeiAnon> You unfasten your belt and drop your trousers.
  10. [13:24] <Jolt> Tie belt onto crowbar
  11. [13:25] <PlebeiAnon> The result is a malicious looking device.
  12. [13:26] <Jolt> Examine brick fireplace
  13. [13:26] <Jolt> (The outside)
  14. [13:30] <PlebeiAnon> The dark wood that encases is secured firmly to the wall and covered with a thick and durable coating. The mortar joints between the bricks appear to have the same composition as those you would find on a building. The mortar around the edges are of a slightly lesser quality, but do well to hold the bricks in place when they are pressed up against. The bricks themselves seem well-aged and solid.
  15. [13:32] <PlebeiAnon> *The dark wood that frames it
  16. [13:33] <Jolt> Retrieve pants and string, using string in place of belt. Pick up coins and place them in pants pocket. Head into the fireplace
  17. [13:35] <PlebeiAnon> The length of string does not fray at the ends nor demonstrate any elastic properties. Perhaps it may be a different material. You pocket the coins and get down onto you hands and knees in order to enter the fireplace, which is waist height on you. You bash your head against the brick barrier that is still there, because you forgot to remove it like a total dingus.
  18. [13:38] <PlebeiAnon> As an afterthought, you note that the coins didn't seem as cool as the room temperature would lead you to expect.
  19. [13:38] <Jolt> Go wild swinging the newly named Belty McCrowbar at the brick barrier
  20. [13:40] <PlebeiAnon> Belty McCrowbar pits his newfound mutant strength against that of the brick barrier, but the swings glance off, the final one giving you hardy thump on the knee.
  21. [13:41] <Jolt> Investigate coins.
  22. [13:44] <~GangstaSeifer> The hell are you guys going on about?
  23. [13:44] * GangstaSeifer is now known as DarkSunDuelist
  24. [13:44] <PlebeiAnon> Oh, uh. Nothing.
  25. [13:44] <PlebeiAnon> We got bored and I sort of did a thing.
  26. [13:44] <PlebeiAnon> Sorry.
  27. [13:45] <PlebeiAnon> If it bothers you, I'll put a stop to it. It's nothing worth moving people over to #rp over.
  28. [13:45] <~DarkSunDuelist> I didn't say stop
  29. [13:46] <Rapey_Lemons> lewd
  30. [13:46] <~DarkSunDuelist> I said I wanted to know what you guys were doing.
  31. [13:47] <PlebeiAnon> There were some off-hand comments about how empty the room was and I did a shitty text-based game style description of the room. Jolt picked it up from there.
  32. [13:49] <Jolt> Kinda spent a bit testing the limits, but got to the point of taking it seriously
  33. [13:50] <Jolt> Still at work though, so if someone more available wants to take the helm?
  34. [13:52] <PlebeiAnon> After only a short interval spent in your pocketspace, they've become lukewarm to the touch. You have five in total. Three the color of oxidized copper, with a μ on the front and a handful of symbols resembling cuneiform on the back. A slightly larger bronze-colored coin, not much heavier than the smaller ones is engraved with a θ symbol and symbols from in a similar script on the back. The final coin is the same size as the forth and made o
  35. [13:56] <PlebeiAnon> *fourth
  36. [13:57] <Jolt> (Busy now)
  37. [13:59] <PlebeiAnon> Feel like humoring me, TankAnon?
  38. [13:59] <TankAnon> hm, suppose I could
  39. [14:00] <PlebeiAnon> Go for it. You've just investigated the coins. The bricks remain an obstacle. You've got some grotesque combination of belt and crowbar at your disposal.
  40. [14:00] <TankAnon> try to chip away the mortar at the edge of the fireplace with the straight end of the crowbar
  41. [14:01] <TankAnon> just trying to get a big enough hole to get some leverage for the bent end
  42. [14:01] <PlebeiAnon> After about seven motivated thrusts, some of the mortar at the top crackles away, you've got barely enough space to get most of the bent end in.
  43. [14:02] <PlebeiAnon> *crumbles
  44. [14:02] <TankAnon> attempt to apply leverage to get a brick loose with the curved end
  45. [14:05] <PlebeiAnon> You put most of your weight into it and sure enough, a brick comes out a whole inch with just one firm push. With a bit more effort, you manage to extract it from the rows. The air that pours fourth from the opening is cold and wet, the odor musty.
  46. [14:05] <PlebeiAnon> *forth
  47. [14:06] <PlebeiAnon> Pfft. Can't spell it wrong when I need to.
  48. [14:06] <TankAnon> I know that feeling
  49. [14:06] <TankAnon> continue removing bricks via leverage until there's enough ambient light to see what's on the other side
  50. [14:07] <TankAnon> and stack the bricks to the side whole, if possible, in case they come in handy later
  51. [14:13] <PlebeiAnon> You arrange the bricks in an orderly stack, off to the side. Their weight would probably make them cumbersome to toss, but would definitely come in handy to pulverize something. The light from the room shines through the cap you've created to dimly illuminate what seems to be rock about five feet back into the wall. You can barely make it out without squinting, it being a dark color like storm clouds.
  52. [14:14] <PlebeiAnon> The temperature of the room gradually cools to match that of the area behind the bricks.
  53. [14:15] <TankAnon> continue removing and stacking bricks until I can squeeze through the hole created, might as well investigate
  54. [14:15] <TankAnon> (also, brb)
  55. [14:20] <PlebeiAnon> Sure. After removing the majority of the bricks that had been laid across the fireplace, the room's light shines upon a layer of soot sitting at the bottom of the fireplace, with a crawlspace roughly carved out of rock behind it. At the bottom of the crawlspace is a hole, the depth of which the light does not betray.
  56. [14:20] <PlebeiAnon> It'd be a tight fit, but you could probably work yourself in there.
  57. [14:23] <~DarkSunDuelist> (Lewd)
  58. [14:23] <TankAnon> Hm. Try and look down the tunnel and see if there's light on the other side
  59. [14:25] * Jolt (Mibbit@ARG-zOmBiE-4h3cd4.hfc.comcastbusiness.net) Quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
  60. [14:26] <PlebeiAnon> Pitch black, like the depths of Lemons' soul.

  62. [14:26] * %Crunk --> "PlebeiAnon rolls 5d10 and gets 23."
  63. [14:26] <TankAnon> *shutter*
  64. [14:27] <PlebeiAnon> ((DarkSunDuelist: How do I into five seperate die?))
  65. [14:27] <TankAnon> (shudder, damn it)
  66. [14:27] <~DarkSunDuelist> )roll 5d#10
  67. [14:27] * %Crunk --> "DarkSunDuelist Dice Error: Illegal characters in input!."
  68. [14:27] <~DarkSunDuelist> )roll 5#d10
  69. [14:27] * %Crunk --> "DarkSunDuelist rolls 5#d10 and gets 1, 5, 5, 1, 9."
  70. [14:28] <~DarkSunDuelist> There we go
  71. [14:28] <PlebeiAnon> Two rerolls, because I'm a nice guy.
  72. [14:28] * JapanBot (Ninja@your.funeral) has joined #RSLV
  73. [14:28] * Nekubot sets mode: +h JapanBot
  74. [14:29] <TankAnon> )roll 2#d10
  75. [14:29] * %Crunk --> "TankAnon rolls 2#d10 and gets 3, 5."
  76. [14:29] <PlebeiAnon> Reroll the three.
  77. [14:30] <TankAnon> )roll d10
  78. [14:30] * %Crunk --> "TankAnon rolls a d10 and gets 10."
  79. [14:31] <PlebeiAnon> Good enough.
  80. [14:31] <PlebeiAnon> I'm going to need a moment to figure out what those mean.
  81. [14:31] <TankAnon> no worries
  82. [14:32] <TankAnon> oh, dsd, what all do I need to do to get squared away to join?
  83. [14:36] <PlebeiAnon> 9 Health (HLT) 5 Brawn (BRA) 5 Charm (CHA) 5 Sensitivity (SEN) 10 Resolve (RES)
  84. [14:37] <PlebeiAnon> On closer examination, some of the rocks have a thin smattering of translucent, white, crystalline material on them.
  85. [14:38] <TankAnon> use the corner of a brick to try and scrape some off
  86. [14:40] <PlebeiAnon> It comes apart fairly easily into an almost invisible powder.
  87. [14:40] <TankAnon> Hm, try scraping some onto the coins to see if anything happens
  88. [14:40] * FrederickPhone (Frederickphonei@ARG-zOmBiE-aua7ra.pools.spcsdns.net) has joined #RSLV
  89. [14:41] <PlebeiAnon> The coins, still warm, show no reaction to the powder.
  90. [14:41] <PlebeiAnon> FrederickPhone: How's San Diego?
  91. [14:44] <TankAnon> Hm, these coins seem to react oddly to temperature. put a mu coin in one armpit, the theta coin in the other armpit, and the last coin between thighs, and wait five minutes to see how they react
  92. [14:45] <PlebeiAnon> The the mu and theta coins seem to level off at about the temperature a coin would get from remaining in one's back pocket after a long period of sitting. The omega coin accumulates heat until it becomes the same temperature as the area between your thighs.
  93. [14:46] * Smutty (Mibbit@ARG-zOmBiE-n6uhpu.bchsia.telus.net) has joined #RSLV
  94. [14:46] <PlebeiAnon> Hey Smutty.
  95. [14:46] <Smutty> Yo
  96. [14:46] <Smutty> >Fem Marth is the new Falco
  97. [14:46] <Smutty> lol
  98. [14:46] <TankAnon> well that was a bust. carpe diem, let's check out what's down the tunnel
  99. [14:47] <PlebeiAnon> Ah, shit. I forgot to mention that the hole is one that goes down. I'll draw up a quick diagram because I can't describe worth shit with this headache.
  100. [14:48] <PlebeiAnon> But towards the interior of the crawl space, you notice a few small lose rocks that don't appear to have come from the rock surrounding you. They appear similar to quartz, but of a smokey grey color.
  101. [14:48] <TankAnon> oh, whoops
  102. [14:49] * Kroked (ribbit@ribbit.ribbit) has joined #RSLV
  103. [14:50] <Kroked> there we go
  104. [14:50] <Smutty> What are you guys up to?
  105. [14:51] <TankAnon> PlebiAnon is running a text adventure
  106. [14:51] <Smutty> Ahh
  107. [14:51] <Smutty> Cool
  108. [14:51] <TankAnon> I've so far managed to break down a brick wall covering a fireplace and nearly fall down a bottomless pit
  109. [14:52] <PlebeiAnon> http://imgur.com/3RHfDUH
  110. [14:52] <PlebeiAnon> Like that one right there.
  111. [14:52] <PlebeiAnon> Forgive the shittiness of my visual aid. I'm no drawfag.
  112. [14:53] <TankAnon> If there's a small rock in the fireplace, or a pebble of brick that broke loose, then lay down with just my head over the pit, ear pointing down, and toss it down while listening for it to hit the bottom
  113. [14:55] <PlebeiAnon> You take a chunk that came off of a brick you pried lose, and drop it down the hole, listening closely. The sound of rock hitting rock can be heard, give-or-take eight feet, by your ear.
  114. [14:56] <PlebeiAnon> The the area where it hits sounds like it's more open than the the top of the hole.
  115. [14:57] <TankAnon> take one of the quartz-like rocks out into the main room to experiment on
  116. [14:57] <PlebeiAnon> Specify.
  117. [14:57] <PlebeiAnon> Oh, just take it?
  118. [14:57] <PlebeiAnon> Right. Good. Do that.
  119. [14:57] <TankAnon> rub the coins on it, expose to body heat, see if it reacts to brighter light
  120. [14:57] <PlebeiAnon> Nothing. Just toasty little discs of metal.
  121. [14:58] <PlebeiAnon> Holding up to the light shows that the composition is indeed similar to quartz.
  122. [14:58] <PlebeiAnon> *it up to
  123. [14:59] <PlebeiAnon> Try something else?
  124. [15:00] <TankAnon> stand on one side of the room, and pitch the quartz into the wall on the other side
  125. [15:00] * WPW is no longer away - Gone for 2 hrs 10 mins 48 secs
  126. [15:00] <FrederickPhone> If you're ever in San Diego, the food in little Italy is great.
  127. [15:01] <FrederickPhone> You'll be hard pressed to find a parking place though.
  128. [15:01] <Kroked> cool
  129. [15:02] * FrederickPhone is brought to you by the San Diego committee of tourism.
  130. [15:03] <PlebeiAnon> Nothing spectacular happens. You're not sure, but you might've caught sight of something at the point of impact. If there was anything, it was just barely noticable. Faint enough to make you question your eyes.
  131. [15:03] <TankAnon> go to the pitch black hole, and throw the quartz pebble down the hole. maybe the darkness would make whatever it was easier to see
  132. [15:04] <FrederickPhone> (should I be in #dsdooc for this)
  133. [15:04] <PlebeiAnon> ((It's just a spur of the moment thing. Don't worry about it.))
  134. [15:05] <PlebeiAnon> In the darkness of the hole, a few tiny sparks are clearly visible when the stone hits.
  135. [15:06] <TankAnon> gather up all the quartz like rocks, and dump them all down the hole at the same time, to see if it will produce enough light to see anything
  136. [15:08] <PlebeiAnon> Only a few out of the handful produce a spark, as they click upon impact. The clatter emphasizes the size of the area below.
  137. [15:09] <TankAnon> and there's no visible light source in the main room?
  138. [15:10] <PlebeiAnon> The light is just there. You try not to think about it too hard. ((Need to take something for the headache. We'll be right back with more geological action in a moment. Don't change that dial, folks.))
  139. [15:13] <TankAnon> (no rush) pocket the coins, drop all but one brick down the hole, then dual wield brick and crowbar and jump down the hole
  140. [15:13] <TankAnon> carpe diem
  141. [15:17] * Saia (Saia@ARG-zOmBiE-5qgc79.res.rr.com) has joined #RSLV
  142. [15:20] <Saia> Beeo Bee
  143. [15:20] <Saia> .....
  144. [15:20] <Saia> *Beep Beep
  145. [15:21] <PlebeiAnon> Hey Saia.
  146. [15:22] <PlebeiAnon> All right, about half the headache's gone, which I think is cause enough to move on with this business.
  147. [15:22] <Kroked> beep beep
  148. [15:24] <FrederickPhone> Sup Saia.
  149. [15:24] <PlebeiAnon> The bricks come down like a pile of bricks, as bricks often do. You move yourself legs first in the hole, grasp the edge and let go. You land feet first on your pile of bricks, which turn out to be extremely insecure footing. You lose your balance, but manage to prop yourself up against a wall. It's dark and you've got bricks.
  150. [15:25] <PlebeiAnon> The dim glow at the top of the hole you just came down does nothing to illuminate the chamber you've entered.
  151. [15:25] <FrederickPhone> Plebe is doing a text adventure of sorts.
  152. [15:25] <PlebeiAnon> I have to give TankAnon some credit for being a good player.
  153. [15:26] <TankAnon> heh, thanks
  154. [15:26] <FrederickPhone> I'd ask to participate, but...
  155. [15:27] <PlebeiAnon> Frederick: Roll 5 d10, reroll threes, PM results.
  156. [15:28] <TankAnon> feel around for pebbles on the ground, and start pitching rocks out into the darkness in an arc, and use the sound to try and get a sense of the size of the space
  157. [15:28] <FrederickPhone> I'm kinda being dragged around San Diego.
  158. [15:28] <PlebeiAnon> I'd be glad to work you in whenever a suitable oppurtunity arises. The more the merrier.
  159. [15:29] <FrederickPhone> Alright then.
  160. [15:31] <TankAnon> Though if someone does want to jump in feel free, I'm going to be too busy to play in half an hour
  161. [15:32] <PlebeiAnon> You cast some chunks of brick that broke off during the fall in the surrounding directions. To your right, about five or six feet, a chunk thuds against a stone face. Ahead of you, the chunk hits... not quite a flat cave wall, but not really floor either. Maybe a steep slope in the rock face. You toss a chunk to your right and hear a thump. Sort of a hollow noise.
  162. [15:32] <PlebeiAnon> It sounds like it came from a height below your waist.
  163. [15:33] <PlebeiAnon> The sound is accompanied by a slight rattle.
  164. [15:33] <TankAnon> ready crowbar just in case, and then head off to the right to investigate
  165. [15:35] <PlebeiAnon> You cautiously tread to the right, prodding the way ahead of you with your Crowbelt. It makes contact with something fairly solid, but stationary. You're fairly certain it's inanimate.
  166. [15:36] <TankAnon> run your hands over it to try and get a sense of what it is
  167. [15:37] <PlebeiAnon> Feels like smooth wooden planks, with corners. From what you can tell, it's a crate.
  168. [15:39] <TankAnon> if the top is closed, try and feel for the gap and use the crowbar to lift it up, then feel around inside it to see what's there
  169. [15:40] <PlebeiAnon> Between the lid of the crate, and the sides, there's a gap of about one inch.
  170. [15:40] <PlebeiAnon> Almost a perfect fit for the crowbar.
  171. [15:41] <TankAnon> cool, pry it up
  172. [15:43] <PlebeiAnon> The motion from the prying causes a further clinking/rattling sound from with in the crate, that you now recognize as glass containers in close proximity being shaken about. The wood comes up easy. You probably wouldn't even have needed the crowbar.
  173. [15:44] <TankAnon> pick up one of the containers, and try and get a feel for size and weight
  174. [15:46] <PlebeiAnon> Cylindrical most of the way, with a bottleneck forming as you move your hand towards the top. There is a cork at the zenith.
  175. [15:46] <TankAnon> does it feel like there's anything inside?
  176. [15:47] <PlebeiAnon> The weight implies the container is almost totally filled.
  177. [15:49] <TankAnon> pitch the bottle towards the ground around 5 feet away
  178. [15:50] <PlebeiAnon> You hear the bottle crack violently as it strikes the ground, along with burst of noise that sounds like a gush or a spray.
  179. [15:51] <PlebeiAnon> ((Smutty: Would you be interested in taking over once TankAnon is busy with whatever?))
  180. [15:52] <Smutty> Oh uh, sure, I guess
  181. [15:52] <TankAnon> thanks
  182. [15:53] <PlebeiAnon> ((Excellent. The show must go on, no matter how dull. I'll pastebin you the unedited log.))
  183. [15:55] <TankAnon> I will admit I tend to play pretty cautiously, which makes things a bit slow sometimes
  184. [15:56] <PlebeiAnon> No, that's fine. An investigative player is great.
  185. [15:56] <PlebeiAnon> I prefer them.
  186. [16:00] <FrederickPhone> Note to self. Poke everything with a stick before actually touching it.
  187. [16:01] <PlebeiAnon> CrowBelt is your friend. Especially in total darkness.
  188. [16:09] <Smutty> Alright I think I've absorbed all the important stuff
  189. [16:09] <PlebeiAnon> Excellent.
  190. [16:09] <Smutty> Poke the substance that spilled out of the bottle to try and get a sense of what was in it
  191. [16:12] <PlebeiAnon> You feel around and you've managed to create one or two sharp glass shards from the impact. The substance is a thin liquid, that smells not-so-faintly of alcohol.
  192. [16:13] <PlebeiAnon> In addition to the crowbar and coins on your person, you have your pile of rocks below the hole and the crystalline coating on some rocks at your disposal.
  193. [16:14] <Smutty> Use glass shard and some rock as flint and tinder, try to see if the liquid is flammable
  194. [16:15] <PlebeiAnon> Use a specific rock from your inventory?
  195. [16:15] <Smutty> The crystalline coated ones
  196. [16:16] <PlebeiAnon> Crystaline coating is on the rock that makes up the walls. You can break it off into a powder, though.
  197. [16:16] <PlebeiAnon> You have the quartzy rock and the bricks.
  198. [16:16] <PlebeiAnon> And your coins.
  199. [16:16] <Smutty> Hmm, try using glass on the rocks below the hole to create sparks
  200. [16:17] <PlebeiAnon> The quartzy rock is what did it before. Class doesn't do anything.
  201. [16:17] <PlebeiAnon> *Glass
  202. [16:18] <PlebeiAnon> In hindsight, I wasn't as clear as I should've been.
  203. [16:18] <Smutty> What did the quartz rocks do?
  204. [16:19] <PlebeiAnon> Created a spark when tossed at the ground from the top of the hole.
  205. [16:20] <PlebeiAnon> Dig them up out of the pile of bricks and stones?
  206. [16:23] <Smutty> Yeah lets do that
  207. [16:23] <Smutty> Lets also use the crowbar to break a plank off the crate. Is there anything more in the crate?
  208. [16:25] <PlebeiAnon> You break off a nice sized plank. Feeling around in the crate, it's just more bottles like the one you smashed on the ground. You move back over to the site of the spill, smoky quartz-like stone in hand.
  209. [16:26] <Smutty> Tear off an arm of your shirt and wrap it around the end of the plank
  210. [16:27] <PlebeiAnon> With a bit of effort, you manage to tear off a sleeve and bundle it around the end of the plank.
  211. [16:27] <Smutty> Roll the wrapped end around in the liquid
  212. [16:28] <PlebeiAnon> You do so. Feeling the cloth bundle, it has soaked up a generous quantity of the liquid.
  213. [16:29] <Smutty> Hold the makeshift torch in one hand, and the quartz in the other, start striking the quarts on the ground to create sparks
  214. [16:29] <Smutty> quartz*
  215. [16:31] <PlebeiAnon> You hold the end of your torch to the ground and strike the flint next to it with all your might. A few sparks fly, and in a matter of seconds, the torch sustains a healthy flame.
  216. [16:32] <Smutty> Examine surroundings
  217. [16:37] <PlebeiAnon> The ceiling is fairly low. Three feet above your head. You've got the pile of bricks and the hole behind you, with seven feet in any outward direction. An opened crate of wine bottles to your left, a wine bottle partially shattered on the ground before you and a steep slope leading into the darkness above, ahead. Nothing on your right.
  218. [16:38] <Smutty> Pocket a bottle of wine, may come in handy
  219. [16:39] <PlebeiAnon> It's a bit large to fit in your pocket.
  220. [16:40] <Smutty> Forget it and press onwards up the slope
  221. [16:43] <PlebeiAnon> Pulling yourself up the slope with a torch still in one hand you arrive at a flat wall. Your torch illuminates some metal rungs, like staples in the rock, covere in surface rock. They ascend farther than your can illuminate. You think you can hear the wind high above.
  222. [16:43] <Smutty> Grab hold of the rungs and climb further
  223. [16:43] <Editanon> afternoon folks
  224. [16:43] <PlebeiAnon> Hey Edit.
  225. [16:44] <PlebeiAnon> You're going to need to free up your hands.
  226. [16:44] <Kroked> HELLO EDIT
  227. [16:44] <Editanon> howdy
  228. [16:44] <Smutty> You don't need two hands to climb a ladder
  229. [16:45] <PlebeiAnon> You're also carrying CrowBelt. Sling it over your shoulder?
  230. [16:45] <Smutty> Oh
  231. [16:45] <Smutty> Yeah
  232. [16:46] <PlebeiAnon> You make your way up the rungs, for what must be about twenty feet before you approach another ledge. Your hand grasps smooth, eroded rock, unlike the rough rock inside the cavern.
  233. [16:47] <Smutty> Drop one of the quartz rocks down to get an idea of how far the drop from the ledge is
  234. [16:49] <PlebeiAnon> You drop another chunk of flint and make an accurate estimate of the distance.
  235. [16:49] <Smutty> So... How far is it?
  236. [16:50] <PlebeiAnon> Twenty feet.
  237. [16:50] <PlebeiAnon> I... think I might've fucked up the description.

  242. [16:53] <PlebeiAnon> All right. Sorry about the confusion.
  243. [16:53] <Smutty> Mourn the loss of the quartz stone and examine your surroundings
  244. [16:54] <PlebeiAnon> Climb up onto the ledge?
  245. [16:54] <Smutty> Yeah
  246. [16:55] <PlebeiAnon> The rock floor here is uniformly smooth. Crystalline coating is still present along the walls. You face a tunnel that bends left.
  247. [16:55] <Smutty> Walk down the tunnel
  248. [16:56] <PlebeiAnon> Moonlight faintly illuminates a rocky terrace under an open sky.
  249. [16:57] <Smutty> Examine surroundings
  250. [16:59] <PlebeiAnon> You peer about. You're about ten feet above the ground. The area below has thick soft-looking grass that looks like it'd make a good cushion for a fall. You can't see much past that.
  251. [17:00] <PlebeiAnon> The terrace you're standing on is about the size of a large doormat.
  252. [17:00] <Smutty> Fall to the grass below
  253. [17:00] <PlebeiAnon> You jump, and land square on your feet.
  254. [17:01] <PlebeiAnon> You can go travel parallel to the rock face, or move forward.
  255. [17:02] <Smutty> Move forward

  262. [17:06] <PlebeiAnon> The rows of bushes go as far either way as you can see. You could probably travel between the rows if you didn't mind pushing some vines and branches out of the way.

  266. [17:11] <PlebeiAnon> You eventually arrive at a clearing in the middle. There, is a small pavillion, with a table and some baskets stacked up to the side.
  267. [17:13] <Smutty> Open the baskets
  268. [17:17] <PlebeiAnon> They are empty, aside from a few dried, pruned fruit at the bottom.

  278. [17:28] <Smutty> Try eating one of the berries
  279. [17:29] <PlebeiAnon> Bitter, but flavorful.
  280. [17:30] <Smutty> Pocket some of the berries

  283. [17:31] <Smutty> surroundings*
  284. [17:32] <PlebeiAnon> You notice something on the table. It's a small cloth sack.
  285. [17:32] <Smutty> Open sack
  286. [17:34] <PlebeiAnon> Five mu coins and some berries. The cloth of the sack itself is worth noting. The inside appears to be stained, but not in a random way. The markings seem deliberately applied with a variety of dies. http://imgur.com/Clw2gmE
  287. [17:35] <Smutty> Well it's clearly a map, head east towards what looks like a river
  288. [17:35] <PlebeiAnon> Take anything?
  289. [17:35] <Smutty> Oh uh, take the sack and its contents
  290. [17:36] <PlebeiAnon> As you do so, the atmosphere suddenly becomes opressive.
  291. [17:36] <PlebeiAnon> You can almost hear a faint rustling the way you came. Upon listening you are positive you hear something moving about in the hedges.
  292. [17:36] <PlebeiAnon> But it's moving... further away?
  293. [17:37] <Smutty> secure the sack to your makeshift belt and prepare thine crowbelt
  294. [17:37] <Smutty> Begin to head east towards the river, keeping an eye out for danger
  295. [17:38] <PlebeiAnon> You move on from the center of the bushes toward the other side of the yard. You can hear nothing as you go about your way.
  296. [17:38] <PlebeiAnon> You arrive out the other side without incident.
  297. [17:38] <Smutty> Examine surroundings
  298. [17:39] <PlebeiAnon> You can't see all that far ahead of you. Grass on this side. But you hear the flow of a powerful current up ahead.
  299. [17:39] <Smutty> Move towards the current
  300. [17:41] <PlebeiAnon> Your torch flame is beginning to die down, but the clouds are now allowing more moonlight through. The smeared stain on the sack cloth did not do this mighty torrent justice. It's wider than you care to guess, and the water is moving dangerously fast.
  301. [17:41] <Smutty> Look for a way to cross
  302. [17:41] <PlebeiAnon> There's no way you're crossing it here.
  303. [17:41] <PlebeiAnon> Travel north or south?
  304. [17:42] <Smutty> Hmm, north
  305. [17:43] <PlebeiAnon> You head north along the bank. The grass becomes increasingly tall and dense, up to you waist belly button in some patches.
  306. [17:44] <PlebeiAnon> You eventually come to a tall pole in the ground, with rope at the top that runs out across the river.
  307. [17:44] <PlebeiAnon> The grass around it has been cleared away, and some large planks of wood are laid down in an orderly fashion beside it.
  308. [17:45] <Smutty> Give the rope a pull to see how secure it is
  309. [17:46] <PlebeiAnon> The rope is taught.
  310. [17:47] <Smutty> Is it just a single line of rope?
  311. [17:48] <PlebeiAnon> Just the one.

  314. [17:49] <Smutty> Examine the planks
  315. [17:50] <PlebeiAnon> The wood is solid and does not give under weight.
