- SM: You guys here?
- FF: Eeyup
- UM: Yep
- SM: Okay, I think I figured out something important
- SM: You know those machines?
- FF: Yeah?
- UM: Yeah
- SM: It turns out they're useful even after the meteor thing
- SM: My stupid ghost thing didn't tell me much, but you're able to make things
- SM: Like, take something from a captchalogue card and duplicate it
- FF: Is this using the Punch Designix thingy?
- SM: Yeah
- FF: I kinda figured that out yesterday
- FF: Didn't you say you didn't have one though?
- SM: No, I found it
- UM: Mine was behind my shed for some reason
- UM: Maybe they hid it on accident
- SM: Guess so
- SM: Tarane, why didn't you tell us?
- SM: This is pretty important
- FF: Well, it was night time and I know you need your sleep
- FF: And it was after the chat
- SM: Tarane, I don't sleep.
- SM: I'm pretty sure we've been over this
- FF: Ok, your R&R
- UM: What is wrong with you
- UM: Sleep is amazing
- FF: Mmhm. Sorry, I had some weird dreams last night
- SM: S'fine
- SM: But this stuff is IMPORTANT
- FF: Ok, Ok, I Get It, Calm Down
- SM: The haunted skeleton said it was my best shot for meeting up with you guys
- UM: I thought he said your dick God was the problem
- UM: Server. Whatever
- SM: My game master is a major problem, yeah
- SM: But this is a way around them
- FF: In Other News, I have a code for 2m length of rope, which might be helpful for your Planet/Land/Thingy
- FF: "RrRrRope"
- SM: Oh wait, we can just share codes
- SM: Huh
- FF: I kinda understand how the Sylladex works now
- FF: I have around 24 "cards"
- FF: Well, 23, since I punched one
- FF: I can't get some of the items out though, it won't let me
- UM: Because of the punch?
- FF: No, even the unpunched ones
- FF: I only found out about my sylladex yesterday Alex
- UM: How did you just find out?
- UM: Mine has been a pain in the ass my entire life
- SM: I like mine
- FF: I use pockets. Pockets are great. And, y'know, hands to carry stuff
- UM: Hitting me with shovels.. And bricks
- SM: Why would you captchalogue a brick?
- UM: To build stuff
- UM: And because I'm bad at coordination sometimes
- SM: We're getting off topic. Alex, do YOU know how to do the item duplication thing?
- UM: No
- UM: That's why I was so quiet
- FF: I'll let you take this one
- UM: I had and have no idea what going on
- SM: Well, that's what this memo was for, to spread out the info we've got
- SM: You know those codes on the back of captchalogue cards?
- UM: Yeah
- UM: I just ignore them
- SM: The punch designix, you put a captchalogue card into the slot then type in the code
- SM: And it puts some holes in the card, like a hole puncher
- UM: A blank card?
- SM: Yeah
- UM: Ok
- SM: Then you put that card in the lathe, like during the meteor thing
- SM: Which I'm thinking was supposed to be a tutorial more than anything
- FF: Some tutorial
- SM: And instead of making your coffin or my box, it'll make whatever item had the code
- FF: If you fail you die by way of flaming rock ball
- SM: You can't fail
- SM: I beat mine by reading a book
- UM: How do we know that?
- SM: Because you can succeed by doing absolutely nothing
- FF: So, wait, Alex got a Coffin that he couldn't do anything with, right?
- SM: Yeah
- FF: I got a Painting that I had to erase. Which makes perfect sense.
- FF: Not
- FF: What did you get?
- SM: At least you did something. Mine was a box
- UM: Fucking scary as shit when you guys read and painted
- UM: Bullshit
- SM: I 'solved' it by reading a book
- FF: You read a book to a box?
- SM: No
- SM: I just ignored the box and read the book
- SM: The book doesn't really matter, I coulda solved it by doing anything
- FF: ...
- UM: I think I have claustrophobia now
- SM: So anyway, that's how you copy things you've got
- SM: I used it to make more captchalogue cards, so I could carry everything
- FF: What other codes do you have?
- FF: I got a useless one
- UM: Wait how do you exploit this to copy stuff
- FF: "RoseMary" for a grammar book
- UM: Like make lots of cards
- SM: Punch the code for the thing
- SM: Then use it to carve a whole bunch of dowels
- SM: You only need to punch it once
- UM: Oh
- UM: That makes sense
- FF: Dowels? I'm guessing the Cylinder things?
- SM: Yeah
- UM: Still getting the hang of this shit
- SM: It uses up your 'grist' though
- SM: Which I think you get from killing the monsters
- UM: Oh right, I just remembered I was about to murder some imps when you messaged me
- SM: Imps
- SM: Is that what they're called?
- FF: Well, they're small irritating creatures
- SM: But they don't have any wings or anything
- SM: Or devil horns
- SM: Or, I dunno, sewing needles for swords
- FF: I guess that's true
- SM: Imp works, I guess
- SM: But yeah, kill the enemies to get grist to copy items
- FF: Anything else happen during the night? Any other new discoveries?
- SM: Well, I've got this ghost skeleton providing ghost skeleton advice
- SM: It told me how to copy items, or at least the general steps
- SM: Said that was how I'd get to you guys
- FF: How did you get a ghost skeleton? Did you keep a skeleton in your closet or something?
- SM: Nah, I found it
- FF: What.
- SM: I found it.
- SM: In this tomb
- SM: So I captchalogued the skeleton and the coffin lid
- FF: Sounds like you had a crazy night
- FF: All I did was explore a purple planet
- FF: In my dreams
- SM: ??
- FF: Yeap
- FF: Last night I dreamt of a purple planet
- FF: And I could fly
- SM: Hah! I TOLD you that if I jumped off a bridge, I'd start flying!
- FF: Flying to your death maybe, which would be an interesting experience
- FF: Anyways, I was in some sort of tower, and saw 3 other towers, one of which was gray for some reason
- FF: One of them was a girl who had an imp strapped to an examination table
- SM: Cool!
- FF: And the other had another girl, with alot of robots inside
- FF: I felt so happy in the dream though!
- UM: Just beat up the imps
- FF: Basically: "Who cares if I'm in a gray world? There's a PURPLE PLANET there!"
- SM: See, so now you can use that grist to make more stuff
- UM: I haven't checked exactly how much, but at least 40
- SM: Make yourself another shield or something
- SM: So you have a backup
- UM: Yeah
- UM: I should check out my shield's code
- UM: And what it's made of
- UM: I don't really know anything about it now that I think of it
- SM: Hey, if it's able to beat up imps, that's good enough
- UM: Heh I guess
- UM: Better than pens
- SM: Oh shut up
- SM: I made my first kill better than you did
- UM: It was a potshot
- UM: Er, scratch
- FF: Meanwhile, I'll just shoot my imps
- FF: Wait, I need to repair my string
- FF: Thanks for reminding me
- SM: You have a gun?
- UM: No problem
- UM: Bow, rigt?
- FF: Eeyup
- SM: Sounds dangerous
- SM: Where do you live that you need to keep an actual weapon with you?
- UM: I have a shield for some reason and don't live anywhere dangerous
- UM: Other than the forest
- FF: In the forest. Y'know, bears, wolves and stuff
- SM: Oh
- SM: Oh, wait a minute
- UM: Hey we both live in the forest, nice
- SM: Okay, here's what we do
- SM: Can either of you guys captchalogue your strife deck? Is that a thing you can do?
- FF: What's a strife deck?
- FF: Remember, I'm new to this stuff
- UM: Like where my shield goes when I pick it up?
- SM: Yeah
- SM: Or the strife card for the shield
- UM: I think that fell out when I pulled out the shield in the coffin
- UM: I could recreate it
- SM: That's what I was thinking
- SM: I dunno about you guys, but I want a proper weapon
- UM: I already have one
- UM: But what kind do you want?
- SM: I don't care, something that can actually get through the imps' shells
- SM: Shield or bow
- SM: A WEAPON
- SM: For when stabbing something in the eye isn't an option
- FF: Um
- UM: I have some knives in my kitchen
- UM: I could send you those
- FF: So a strife specibus is a... weapon specialist card?
- SM: Basically, yeah
- FF: Does it have a certain colour?
- SM: Knives'd help, but I don't think they'd be much better than my pens against the imps' shells
- SM: Green
- FF: Ah, so that's what the card with my Bow is
- FF: Um, hang on
- FF: Let me just deal with an abstract reality
- UM: A what
- FF: How much grist do you have?
- SM: Who?
- FF: Ms "I need a better weapon"
- SM: Oh
- SM: Zero
- SM: I didn't have all that much in the first place, because I don't have a weapon to properly kill imps with!
- FF: What made you choose pens, anyway?
- SM: What do you mean?
- FF: Why use pens as weapons?
- FF: You probably can't make a weapon with 0 grist
- SM: Probably not
- SM: But the haunted skeleton won't tell me where to find more stuff to kill
- FF: Just wander out or something
- SM: Okay yeah, that'll probably work
- SM: Can I get a code for a weapon first, so I know what to make once I have the grist?
- FF: I can't actually do it right now, it's not letting me
- FF: Don't ask why
- FF: I don't even know
- SM: Forget it, just gimme the code once I've got some grist to spare
- SM: I gotta go kill some stuff
