Jason is Czech from his grandfather who moved from Czechoslovakia to the United States in 1915. The last name “Mraz” is Czech for frost. In 2002, Mraz released his debut album, Waiting for My Rocket to Come. “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)”, a song contained in the album, became a hit single. Jason did not achieve commercial success until he released his second album, Mr. A-Z. On April 21, 2010, Jason Mraz received the Song of the Year reward at the annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards in Los Angeles, CA.
