So many top notch albums in 2025 honestly maybe music has never been better, plenty of albums I could talk about here that won't be on the list (check my rym :) /~coookie)

De La Soul - Cabin in the Sky: it's peam

Mydreamfever and Huremic - 3. How I See Nothing But You: My favourite release of the year, really incredible stuff, this guy is goated

Huremic - Seeking Darkness: so beast

Oneohtrix Point Never - Tranquilizer: he's so back

Danny Brown - Stardust: Didn't really work that well for me in the end despite loving Danny and having such a strong list of collaborators

Maruja - Pain to Power: technically not a first release but made a big splash for good reason

moreru release: incredibly entertaining album go go go listen

Geese - Getting Killed: Would be remiss to not talk about it even if I'm not quite as hot as everyone else on this, it's still a great album

Earl Sweatshirt - Live Laugh Love: maybe got a bit lost in the sheer quantity of high quality releases but is my favourite Earl release for quite some time

Ethel Cain release: brushes the soul

sadness / abriction - That Lasts Forever: their 2023 collab was one of my faves that year and this doesn't disappoint

Tropical Fuck Storm - Fairyland Codex: big bounceback after a weaker third album

Swans - Birthing: 2nd fave, the last track on this is astounding

Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz: still haven't really had a big vibe with her music outside of the 2023 leroy release

Backxwash - Only Dust Remains: hugely powerful work

Deafeaven - Lonely People With Power: fantastic even if it doesn't quite hit that sunbather level

Weatherday - Hornet Disaster: their putting out great stuff, blood online is one of my favourite tracks this year

Ada Rook - UNKILLABLE ANGEL: incredibly entertaining to listen to, the outpouring of emotion isn't for everyone maybe but I love it

Ichiko Aoba - Luminescent Creatures: beautiful
