- 1 - - The Dead Can Dance
- OMEN: Spirit Board
- ROOM: Abandoned Room, Catacombs, Kitchen
- TRAITOR: Highest Knowledge (except for the haunt revealer)
- You look down at the spirit board below you in fascination as the planchette begins to rattle and move on its own. Slowly it begins to spell out a puzzling phrase:
- D-A-N-S-E-M-A-C-A-B-R-E
- Suddenly, haunting organ music seems to echo from every corner of the empty house. And rhythmic footsteps of something dancing to that chilling music can be heard from somewhere nearby. And they're getting louder.
- ----
- Right Now
- Set aside a number of Might Roll tokens (triangular) equal to the number of players.
- ----
- What You Know About the Bad Guys
- The traitor has summoned Souls of the dead for one last dance on Earth. If you are in the same room as a Soul during its turn, your character immediately dies.
- ----
- You Win When …
- … you destroy the traitor's Organ and banish the Souls back to the afterlife.
- ----
- How to Damage the Organ
- By ending your turn in the Organ Room, you can make a Might attack against the Organ. The Organ defends with Might 3. If you defeat it, place a Might Roll token in that room (instead of inflicting damage). You don't take damage if it defeats you. When that room has a number of Might Roll tokens equal to the number of starting players, the Organ is destroyed.
- ----
- How to Banish the Souls
- Once the Organ is destroyed, an explorer with the Spirit Board or any explorer in the Chapel may make a Sanity attack against a Soul on the same floor of the house as themselves (An explorer with the Ring may
- now make Sanity attacks against the Souls as normal). If the Soul takes any damage from this attack, it is banished to the afterlife.
- ----
- If You Win …
- The spirit board clatters against the ground as it falls, the noise echoing through the otherwise silent house. The dead are once more at peace, never to be disturbed again.
- Suddenly, haunting fiddle music seems to echo from every corner of the empty house. It makes your soul shrivel, and your feet move…
