Worms are manly

Alexithymiaa: -Instead of prepping for his game tomorrow like he really should be doing, Noah chose to hangout at the club tonight to watch Tae work and just kick back and enjoy his evening. He was seated at one of the tables with a beer in front of him and his eyes set on the dancers on stage, a stupid grin fixed on his face.-
Covet: Tae wasn't really doing much for work, she wasn't allowed to walk around much so basically she was just working as an assistant to the Assistant Manager. Making sure the girls got their breaks and all that. It allowed her to sit at the table with Noah and just keep an eye on things. She looked over at Noah, "Don't look like you're having too much fun over there."
Alexithymiaa: "Was I not supposed to be having fun?" He asked quickly without looking at her, keeping his eyes on the dancers on stage doing their thing. He grabbed for his beer, tipping it back to take a sip. "Besides, I have a big game tomorrow. I need to relax and destress."-
Covet: "I never said that, And I know you do. So don't shoot for drunk tonight, you will regret it tomorrow." She told him, leaning over on her hand, then reached down to scratch her leg beneath the boot.
Alexithymiaa: "I wasn't going to. I don't hate myself that much." He said as he set the beer down, finally turning to look at her when the number was over and his brain could focus on something else. "Aren't you supposed to be doing something?"-
Covet: "This is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing" She said looking at the table sheet in front of her. "I'm not supposed to be walking around all that much, so that pretty much leaves me to do the Assistant manager's job so that he can watch netflix in his office all night." Tae explained to him.
Alexithymiaa: "Whoever does the payroll for this place must have a field day with you guys." He said as he rolled his eyes, shaking his head and grabbing for his beer again. "How many employees does this place have anyway?"-
Covet: "I'm not sure who does that, It's a day shift thing." She said with a shrug, then went about counting how many people there were. "Owner, Manager, Assistant manager, Three bouncers, Four bartenders Seven waitresses, and about twelve dancers."
Alexithymiaa: "So roughly thirty employees." He said rather quickly and without a second thought. "I guess that's not that bad. I'm surprised there isn't more than one assistant manager. They could probably use two."-
Covet: "Probably, Main manager runs the mornings, and then this guy does the evenings. Plus we're always hiring new people that come and go too." Tae told him.
Alexithymiaa: "You should talk to your manager about the possibility of helping manage after this." He said, gesturing to her sitting next to him. "Definitely proving yourself, that's for sure."-
Covet: "What? No I like waitressing and the occasional dancing." She said pouting at him. "Managing is kind of boring, just to sit around. But maybe if the pay was worth it."
Alexithymiaa: "The pay is always worth it. They don't just make you a manager or an assistant manager without a pay increase. They'd never be able to keep the job filled." He started to laugh, taking a sip of his beer. "What's the worst that could happen if you ask?"-
Covet: "I guess... I don't know. We'll see." She said with a shrug. "This isn't really me doing anything assistant manager wise. I'm like playing hostest at a restaraunt."
Alexithymiaa: "So? It's more than what your current title says about you and that should count for something." He said as he finished off his beer, setting the empty glass down on the table. "Besides, with more money you can do more cosplay stuff."-
Covet: "Okay, Okay, I'll look into it. " She said. "You could have just started with that." Tae said to him with a laugh. "We should go look for the foam for your suit this weekend."
Alexithymiaa: "Look for the foam? I didn't know it was hiding. I thought you just... have a store you get your shit from and you go and you buy the foam and that's it." He paused, trying to think of where she would even start on his costume. "Wait, is it all foam?"-
Covet: "Well yeah, but sometimes they aren't always in stock. No, not all of it, there will be some plastic and acryllic added to it, but the foam is the base start point so that it's not heavy." Tae explained to him.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh. Cause yeah it's supposed to be metal and stuff so it needs to look shiny." He tried to tell her like she wasnt the pro here. Mansplaining. "It doesn't matter if it's heavy, I can handle the weight."-
Covet: Tae looked at him, "Are you done now?" She asked him. " I know what I'm doing I've made armor before. That will all be in the paint job, and it's not about it being heavy so much as it's about the heat. Convention centers get hot with a lot of people in them."
Alexithymiaa: "Well this isnt going to be at a convention, this is just for Halloween so none of that matters." He said quickly like he still knew better than she did. "Whatever, it's fine. As long as it looks good, make it however you want."-
Covet: "Yeah, let me do my damn job. It's going to look amazing regardless, so shut up." She told him, rolling her eyes.
Alexithymiaa: "I know. Wait, can we do a gun too? Is that allowed?" He asked, unsure the protocol for making and walking around with fake guns.-
Covet: "It depends, if you're at a Convention, there are ones that allow definite fake versions, and then some cons don't allow it at all. But we could get around that and make you an energy sword instead." Tae said to him.
Alexithymiaa: "That would be SO cool" He said excitedly, sitting up straighter in his chair. "Is there any way to like... make it glow, too? Like the irredescent sort of glowy look that it does?"-
Covet: "Yeah, with Fiber Optics and LED's There's schematics online for it, Someone made one recently." Tae said nodding her head.
Alexithymiaa: "Really?" He asked, raising his brows. "That's pretty cool. Can I help with that part?" He asked her, genuinely interested in running that part.-
Covet: "Yeah sure. I'm not as good at wiring and all that stuff for the lights." She told him with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: "Well I am, so where you suck, I can pick up your slack." He said with a grin, trying to screw with her a little bit. "Although I haven't really played with anything like this before."-
Covet: "Don't start talking smack about me sucking, I might stop." She told him, sticking her tongue out at him. "This will be fun. You'll enjoy it and you can brag about it later."
Alexithymiaa: "Better not." He said under his breath, leaning back in his chair. "And maybe after we're done and we do the costume thing, we can sharpen it and I can use it eat. Wouldn't that be completely sick? I just use an energy sword instead of forks forever."-
Covet: "You don't think that it's a little big to be eating with all the time?" She said to him. "I think you should hang it on the wall and use it like a night lamp with all your other neon."
Alexithymiaa: "No." He said way too quickly and excitedly, a grin spreading across his face. "If we use LEDs and fiber optics, I wouldn't be able to use it as a lamp in the same respect as the other neon lamps I have. There would be no way to replace it once it burns out. Unless..." He trailed off, his mind wandering. "Unless we can build it with little 120 volt halogen bulbs. You know the flat kind? Those are easy to replace and they come small enough to fit. We'd just need some sort of battery pack built into it, which we would need to do anyway. It just needs to be bigger."-
Covet: "There you go." Tae said with a grin, "I don't think I've ever seen you this passionate, you're not even watchign the dancers now." She told him with a smirk.
Alexithymiaa: "That's not true, I was pretty passionate about sticking gummy worms in my cupcakes a couple weeks ago." He said defensively like being passionate was a bad thing. He turned quickly toward the stage, only remembering they were dancing when she mentioned it. "Oh yeah."-
Covet: Tae couldn't help but laugh. "That is probably the most adorable thing you've ever said." She told him with a smirk.
Alexithymiaa: "What? No. Gummy worms are... like the manliest candy there is. They're literally worms. That's not adorable." He said defensively again.-
Covet: "Yeah, okay." Tae said still chuckling. "I would think bears were more manly than worms. But that's just me."
Alexithymiaa: "Bears can be considered cute though. No one would ever consider worms cute. They don't even have eyes. And they live in the dirt. Definitely manlier than bears. Besides the fact that bears wouldnt have looked as cool poking in and out of the cupcakes."-
Covet: "You want to be eyeless and miss out on all this because you're in the dirt?" Tae said because worms sounded boring not manly.
Alexithymiaa: -He rolled his eyes, throwing his head back. "Nevermind, you're a fun sucker." He said before twisting to watch the dancers some more. "And next time I make worm cupcakes, you don't get any."-
Covet: "I know I'm a fun sucker." She said to him, "You always have fun when I suck." She told him. " And yes I will because I'll ask you nicely."
Alexithymiaa: -He tipped his head to one side because she wasn't wrong, unable to battle back the grin spreading across his face. "You never ask nicely."-
Covet: "I know, so that's how I know it will work." She said sticking her tongue out at him. "C'mon, it's time to get ready to go. I need to clock out."
Alexithymiaa: -He looked back to her from the dancers, slipping out of his chair and putting his hand out awkwardly behind her. "Do you need help?"-
Covet: "You can walk me out, I can make it that far. It's easier to put pressure on it now." She told him as she got off her chair, going to turn the book in and wake up the assistant manager from his nap before leaving with Noah.
