1.
What I got from the choice is that we are choosing weather to focus on making our current familiar Ember super bad ass by pouring our power into her or collecting more lesser ghost that cover both her and our weaknesses. To give a Pokemon example it's weather to have a lvl 70 Charzard or a full team of 6 lvl 20-30's with many different types. Plus when we get more familiar's I would think we would interact with them as a group.
3. That really has literally nothing to do with what I was saying, at all. I'm very well aware of the different mechanical pros and cons of each option since this split was literally my idea. What I was talking about is how people seem to be under the impression that Summoning and Binding automatically means that they'll be able to collect as many ghost waifu's as they want, and technically yes it's the path that allows for other ghosts to be bound, it's just that at no point did Sophos say it was going to be easy.

 6. The most likely use for the Summoning/Binding path is the fact that by being able to summon and control minor ghosts, we have a huge amount of new options that are suddenly available for so many different things. We can instantly summon mooks to help us in a fight, we can bind ghosts into objects for so many different purposes that I'm not even going to bother naming them all, but a spooky security system or using them as a magical power source are a few fun ideas, we can have minions that can overshadow multiple people for all sorts of shenanigans, we basically gain the ability to have a lesser version of all of our powers in multiple places at once. It's pretty fucking crazy.

 9. Thing is though, it's also important to remember that we already have a Familiar, so trying to bind a ghost that's either equal to her or stronger would be all kinds of awkward since we'll have to use a less intimate bond, thus giving them more leeway. And lets just take a moment to have a look at our options...

 12. First up we have Kitty, who from what I've seen is pretty underwhelming for a Named Ghost in that her only special power is that she can create a new body if her own gets too badly hurt, it's just that y'know, it requires human sacrifice. Something I'm sure that Danny will be a huge fan of taking advantage of. Then there's also the fact that she's kinda already got a ghost boyfriend in Johnny 13, so it really isn't in character for Danny to just kidnap her from him because lolghostharem (although yes, they do break up a few times in canon). Overall she's basically just a less interesting version of Ember with none of the cool power shit.
