- I think we can all agree that the old warning system was flawed, and it was. All warnings were worth the same, regardless of the severity of the infraction or the circumstances surrounding it. This system aims to change that, with a rework that assigns point values to rules. With this overhaul the rules are being rewritten to include the point value of breaking each one, and the system itself works as follows:
- 4 points: 1 day ban
- 7 points: 1 week ban
- 9 points: 1 month ban
- 10 points: permaban
- This breaks down to a slightly more lenient system early on that increases in severity as someone keeps breaking rules, with the point difference between bans steadily decreasing from 4 to 1. Different rules also have different point values, allowing the breaking of certain rules to carry a heavier punishment. Check out the rules in each subforum to see the different warning values for each thread! This is also a great time to read the rules if you haven't done so before.
- If you feel you have been warned unfairly, PM an admin.
- A small note: If a mod feels that the cause is sufficient, they can move to increase or decrease the point value of a rule being broken by 1 point if they feel that the nature of the infraction deserves a slightly bigger or smaller punishment than what's listed. However, the decision to change the value for that case will rest with at least 3 mods (including at least 1 admin).
- Also, as a fresh start with a clean slate, everybody who has not been permabanned has had their entire warn history reset and you are at 0 points. Don't go filling them up again too quickly!
