  1. Title:
  2.
  3. How can I determine the volume needed to store a bag of dog food?
  4.
  5. Body:
  6.
  7. I would like to transfer the contents of a 26-pound bag of dry dog food from the bag to a more convenient container.
  8.
  9. The problem that I've found is that dog food, when purchased in bags, is listed by weight. Meanwhile any containers I look for are listed by volume.
  10.
  11. To add to this. Not every brand dog food has the same size and shape of kibble. So while the weight might be the same, they'll need a slightly different size of container.
  12.
  13. How does one determine if a container is likely to hold an entire bag? Trial and error can be messy.
