Tototl's brow slowly rose once Ohtli mentioned Mital not knowing - Of which he promptly interjects. "Was he not here when we first talked about this? Even if it was near the end of it all, it's not exactly hard to assume something is happening when the more memorable of Gehenna are gathered in one room."

A hand waves dismissively from the table, brown hues casting themselves towards Lassic for but a moment. A smile is flashed towards them before Tototl's hues shift back to the two at the table.

"And no, I didn't Elder Ohtli. Both - I didn't tell them before I spoke with Tonantzin nor did I know how she'd react. Chotion on the other hand spoke to his sister, of whom said I was possibly in line for Ezmara." His lips purse, focusing on Ohtli as he finishes what he says. The Chieftain lets a moment pass before continuing, eyes shifting to Sugarboy.

"I ah... Don't lie to those that bleed for the Tribes. It's disrespectful in all matters - Bar that, I seek only to make sure that if this is to happen, it goes smoothly. Elder Ohtli's spent more for the Tribes than anyone else I know - That much of what I've assumed is true. Losing you to a momentary tantrum all because of a title is a bad path to walk."

"He arrived after the conversation came to an end. For Sugarboy to heal his wounds. The assumption you're suggesting is a large jump," she replies.

She follows Tototl's look back behind her towards Lassic.

"That one is my blood. You don't have to worry about him, for the record."

For a moment her eyes flick towards Sugarboy. Briefly, they narrow.

"Will what the people want be decided by what Tonantzin wants? I feel that is the most important question here. I have offered my help. I offered the idea of a tribe united and a council. All beyond what I've given before. People have said they wanted me to take the position, to help Gehenna again. And so I have worked.

"Yet I cannot make the horse drink.

"I have a small idea beyond this. But I already do not like what I have heard today. Is this why you didn't speak of it yesterday?"

"Yes, I know Lassic Elder Ohtli - He was one of the first few friends I had. Though ah... Years have passed, for the record." Brown hues focus once more on Ohtli. He was unsure if he came off hostile in that brief action, but the man's tone remains calm and even.

"A large jump, yes, but a possibility in itself. If there are any that talked of here then it would be Chotion - Not I. I've kept this as silent as possible under me."

Tototl's hand rolls forth, the tapping atop his collarbone now coming to a halt. "I know Muchom wishes for you or I to take the seat, but bar that I'm unsure how the rest feel - It's ah... Dispiriting to hear Quincy is against you, however, I thought he'd listen to reason. I didn't speak of it yesterday as there was work to be done.

We shouldn'tlet Tonantzin to decide this, yes, but I also do not wish to risk someone as wise as you Elder Ohtli. The small idea though ah... What is it?"

More tapping. The Drakan focuses on it intently to keep her thoughts on even keel. Tapping and deep breaths.

Beneath the surface a few hot pinpricks of anger roil, concealed by discipline. There is still work to be done.

"There is a chance then...that it was Quincy. Or Chotion…"

A frown.

"...Have you been speaking to Muchom of what we've discussed?"

She waits for a moment for an answer, then shrugs and continues on.

"I imagine she's still upset with me anyway. She might decide to try and kill me on principle if she so much as saw me in the square. What I do already paints a big enough target on my head. As for the idea? It may not have value.

"The office of Chieftain could be abolished in favor of a tribal council. As it should have been, honestly, when those three wanted to take power. Three Chieftains is too many."

Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "...But I do not think Tonantzin will want me to have any say in Gehenna. Period."

Tototl slowly shakes his head. "No- I've not spoke to Muchom about this. Spirits, she came to me and said Tonantzin was to hand her seat off to me. Honestly, it's surprising how everyone else spread this bar me."

The Gehennan reaches up to rub the side of his face. If anything, he was merely astonished that the tables were always turned to him. A few stray mutters pass out of the Chieftain before he continues.

"She has no power should she wish to do so with either of us as Chieftain. It's a possible solution, yes, but again is the risk worth the possible cost? You've family, do you not?" Brown hues stare for a moment at the spiritmancer, though the answer is most likely expected as he quickly continues.

"It's Gehennan to face risk in itself, yes, but to lose all of your knowledge for some title isn't worth it in my eyes. The ah... Idea of a council or gathering is promising, yes, but abolishing the seat of Chieftain would not fly to the masses."

"Note she said she didn't want you as Chieftain, nothing of an advisor."
