  7. +Aaaah what __ Howdy. Digitally erasing a numberplate so that there is absolutely no trace of it whatsoever requires more skill than blurring or placing a black box over it. _That is what I am saying._

  11. The person above suggested it was obscured as a "standard practice" to "hide the numberplate" from the public. There are two primary reasons why this does not stand up to scrutiny.

  15. 1) The numberplate was already public knowledge and so there can be no benefit in subsequently obscuring it.

  19. (Therefore - if you are honest - any time, effort and money spent on obscuring the numberplate is wasted.)

  23. 2) If the intent was to hide the numberplate then simply "blurring" the numberplate or placing a black box over are common and acceptable alternatives.

  27. We see that all the time but not in this instance. Instead - what we see is the *perfect removal* of the numberplate and no matter how skilled you are at Photoshop it requires more time and effort to do that than to blur or place a black box over it. (Refer to my opening paragraph.)

  31. Do you understand the points that have been made above or are you stuck on the whole "but it's easy to remove a Photoshop out a numberplate"?

  35. Did you watch the video? Do you accept there have been other digital manipulations that occurred such as the addition or removal of the timestamp and the addition or removal of the white line on the road?

  39. By all means share your thoughts on these things (which go along with the digital manipulation of the numberplate) if you aren't just here to nit-pick.
