Asako gets a little tipsy from drinking and accidentaly falls asleep on Kuroiwa's couch. While asleep, he calls Kuroiwa "Hiroto-kun", which is apparently how Mari(Kuroiwa's ex-wife) used to call him. Kuroiwa wakes him up, puts two and two together, and figures out Asako has been dreaming about Mari's memories this whole time. He asks Asako what kinds of things he dreamed about, and Asako naturally gets flustered and can't tell him. However, he feels like he owes Mari-san because apparently she died thinking Kuroiwa held a grudge against her. So jus as he was about to tell Kuroiwa, Kuroiwa's phone rings from the police station to notify him of an update on the dead ex-wife case. From this point onwards it's hard to tell since my japanese is bad and there's a lot of text, but they brought that short haired girl for questioning and at some point Asako gets near her. He concludes she wasn't present on the time of Mari's death.
