Eliphas versus Aries

[12:05] Following Eliphas south of Moxtli he'd ready himself as best as he could. Aries had remembered his last few matches with Eliphas, though they were a long time ago.

"Don't think I gotta say it but I'm stronger now since last time hehe."

A welcoming and warm aura could be felt by those nearby him as Aries focused his emerald hues on Eliphas.

"Maybe this time I'll beat ya!"

[12:06] "I wonder just how strong you've gotten Aries." he smiled.

Throwing back his hand, he reached for the fastened hilt of his mithril greatsword. But once again he was left grasping at nothing but air.

I guess old habits die hard.

Chuckling at his own idiocy, Eliphas grabbed at the buckle that held his rifle against his back. Quickly unclasping it, he flipped the rifle forward, placing a hand underneath the barrel as the other held the grip with his digit lightly fingering the trigger.

"Perhaps you will." he encouraged, pressing his cheek against the edge of his gun as he stared down it's sight.

Flames collected around his digits, amplifying the barrel with his raw mana as he prepared himself to face off against the sole son of the fallen Grace.

[12:09] Aries Grace exclaims, "Close!"
[12:09] Eliphas Aegeus says, "Yes you are"
[12:10] Eliphas Aegeus says, "There we go Aries."
[12:11] Eliphas Aegeus says, "Keep it up.. But don't think I'm going to go easy on you."
[12:11] Aries Grace exclaims, "Thanks, I been practicin' like crazy!"
[12:11] Eliphas Aegeus says, "That's good, keep it up."

[12:12] Aries Grace says, "Huff-"
[12:15] Aries hadn't underestimated Eliphas at all. After all, they had beaten Aries multiple times in their sparring matches in the past.

Had he even won a match until now? If he did, he couldn't remember.

Eliphas' Time Magic as well as their flames were formidable. Thankfully they were sparring on the sand or else Aries would be worried about all the grass being burnt up.

It was a close match but at the end it would be Aries who'd come out as the victory, covered in sweat and panting heavily.

"I did it! Yer as strong as ever Eliphas!"

[12:47] The Aegeus knew better than to underestimate the child of Howl.

He's heard several things about Toratori and Howl for many years, and his expectations for the Grace only ever rose with each passing day.

Biting down hard, he'd quickly find himself being cornered at each turn from the likes of Aries's attacks. Each turn he made, every corner he cutted, granted him with a devastating blow from their sword, alongside their holy magic.

Time crackled around his form as he pushed himself forward in time, jumping seconds ahead as he adapted towards the Grace's move. Pushing himself forward to get an edge on them as flames danced along his form.

Quick to reload his barrel with mana, Aries kept at him with relentless attacks, swiping away at his form and even coming close to landing a devastating blow against him.

But it was within that moment that he separated a hand form his barrel, raising his palm open towards Aries's face subconsciously, a spark ignited in the middle of his palm as an explosion cracked to life.

At the last moment, he forced his hand skywards. Causing a massive line of explosions towards the sky.

The shockwave was just enough to retaliate Aries's blow while Eliphas remained on his rear against the yellow hot sands.

"...huh.." he frowned, now staring into his open palm disappointed.

He still relied on the advanced form of fire, even though he swore to refrain from such an art anymore.

"Uuhh… My bad Aries!" he chuckled as he pushed himself to a stand, "Good fight though! You definitely had me on the edge." he smiled as he moved towards them with a hand extended.

"Don't worry though. I'll get you next time."

[12:52] Aries was confused as to why Eliphas was apologizing but he'd dismissively wave his hands

"Oh nah don't worry about it. All fine 'n dandy."

He'd nod before taking a seat on the warm sands beneath him. The fight had taken a toll on him as well, it wasn't an easy victory by any means.

"Pretty good chance o' that. Ya are really strong after all!"

Taking the extended hand, he'd shake it and give a toothy grin.

[13:02] A raise of his brow responsed at Aries's confused look, but then again. Perhaps they had gotten strong enough to take an impact cannon to the face.

"Heh, perhaps you are stronger than you look." he chuckled as he shook the Grace's hand.

"Don't doubt yourself either, your really strong yourself." he smiled.
