  1. >The villagers of this town are poor as well. The Dragon scowls to herself as she looks through the tribute, over half of which is made of some sort of tuber vegetable. They didn't even wash the things. The lumpy 'food' is getting dirt all over the small amount of gold they managed to scrounge up.
  2.
  3. >With a huff of irritation that makes the air briefly distort with heatwaves, she decides to forgive the dirty hairless monkeys for their ignorance. Doing her best to avoid touching the *vegetables* she picks one of the coins up, holding it within the palm of her claw. Something is wrong. The pleasant sensation of gold on her scales is meager and washed out. She glances around at the scared and eager to please villagers. Hm. No magic behind this, as she first suspected. What the hell?

  5. >Shifting the lone coin more dexterously thorough her large claws than a human would suspect possible, she clenches the metal disc between two. It bends easily, spilling out the reek of copper. It isn't even decently refined copper either!
  6.
  7. >"What the fuck is this! This slaggy impure crap is worse than no metal! This is like shit to me, do you expect me to sleep on this shit?! If you tried to give this to me in the old era I would've melted your fucking faces!", roars the Dragon angrily.
  8.
  9. >She turns to the cowering townspeople, the air around her flickering rapidly with the heat of her anger. Her eyes blaze as she walks towards them, the coin shatters loudly in her claws as she approaches.

  11.
  12. And that is how all of the villages in the region learned of the benefits of slash and burn agriculture.
