Brad will never get it

Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting on the couch watching tv and waiting for his interview time to come up. He'd been anxious all day between going to the studio for the interview and how it would be received by audiences. He had his phone in his hand with the email from Nancy pulled up, prepared to literally just copy and paste what she'd typed for him onto his social media since at this point he was just following her directions to a T.-
Covet: Kelsey finished getting Connor down for the night, and was walking back out, knowing that Brad's interview was tonight. She hadn't wound up going with him this morning because she still wasn't talking to him. She walked out into the common area and walked into the kitchen to get herself something to drink before she sat down to watch his interview. She was't playing nice either and had on a pair of boots that made her legs look just a little longer and a dress that came up a little higher, in his favorite color.
Covet: [I had to get the dress after I saw these boots went with it. lol they're cute af]
Alexithymiaa: -He was busy wringing his hands over his phone repeatedly as the commercials cycled through, hearing Kelsey's footsteps behind him and twisting around to watch her in the kitchen. His eyes followed her as she made her way over into the living room, turning to face forward again with a clear look of worry and concern over his face. "Is Connor asleep?"-
Covet: "Yes." Kelsey told him, holding onto her bottle of flavored water as she sat down, crossing one leg over the other. She pulled out her phone and scrolled through her own social media updates but there really wasn't anything interesting she was just doing something idle while she waited, looking up at the screen of the TV occasionally.
Alexithymiaa: "It's going to be on in a minute..." He started, trying to edge out the coolness in her voice as he watched her on her phone. "Hopefully this blows over pretty easily."-
Covet: She set her phone down in her lap and stared at the tv. Hearing him she nodded her head, "Nancy is good at her job, I'm sure it will be fine, if you followed what she wrote out for you to say."
Alexithymiaa: "I did..." He said as they came back from a commercial break, starting to introduce his interview segment. "This is it, this is it!" He said excitedly, leaning forward to rest his arms on his knees, literally on the edge of his seat as the camera panned to him and the interviewer sitting opposite each other on couches.-
Covet: "Good." She told him then she watched the screen as they announced the interview. She looked over at him as he got excited, "Why are you so giddy, this isn't something that you should be exicted over."
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not giddy, I just want to get this overwith. I don't know what they're going to say after the interview airs and I don't know how fans or anything like that are going to take it." He said as he watched the interview unfold just as he remembered it, not straying from Nancy's talking points at all.-
Covet: "Over with so you can pretend like it never happened?" She said to him quietly under her breath, because she was clearly still bitter about all of this.
Alexithymiaa: -As his short interview came to a close, he watched the reporter make a few comments that were somehow in his favor, likely Nancy's work, before they cut to another commercial break. Exhaling a deep sigh of relief, he settled back into the couch. "Do you think that was okay?"-
Covet: "I think it was believable, for everyone else. But I can't help but feel like I know better, because I know how you actually feel about all of it." Kelsey said to him as she looked back down at her phone.
Alexithymiaa: "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked quickly, turning to look at her with his brows furrowed. "I'm doing what Nancy wants me to do, what more do you expect?"-
Covet: "You know exactly what it means and what I expect, Bradley. I've been rather vocal about how I feel in regards to your feelings on this, so Im not going repeat it." Kelsey said.
Alexithymiaa: "So what am I supposed to do, just apologize and take it all back and pretend I never said anything?" He asked defensively, leaning forward uncomfortably. "It just kind of seems like you have unrealistic expectations right now."-
Covet: "How about be accountable for your own decisions. You still don't think you did anything wrong, regardless of the law telling you, you did." Kelsey said to him. " It's not an unrealistic expectation, your expectations were even higher than this when I messed up , and guess what, I buckled down and did my best to meet them, did I not?"
Alexithymiaa: "How are you still comparing this to what you did? You had an actual drug problem that was ongoing for months on top of lying to me repeatedly about it AND using Evan to do it. I'm not lying or trying to make this seem like anything it's not and I literally was just on tv owning up to my mistakes. So what then?" He asked sharply.-
Covet: "Because take away the substance involved, and we were both still in the wrong. You were driving drunk, whether you felt it or not. You got caught driving drunk. Not that it's anything to toot my horn about, but I didn't get caught, by the law. I got caught by you, but with the way you treated me over it, I might as well have been caught by the law." She said shortly to him. "And the only reason you were on there, owning up to it, is because someone else told you to. You wouldn't have done that on your own."
Alexithymiaa: "Except that my substance was legal and I didn't lie to anyone about it. So you're saying if I had been running and screaming from the rooftops that I did something wrong, this would have all been different?"-
Covet: "You know what, Nevermind. I'm done fighting this with you, because you'll never see what is wrong with all of this, other than you were wronged." Kelsey said getting up, so she could go get in the shower before bed.
Alexithymiaa: "What are you talking about? I know what I did wrong, I went on national tv and admitted it, but because it wasn't my idea to begin with that doesnt count? What exactly would count at this point then, huh?" He asked with a raised voice.-
Alexithymiaa: (KARMA BRAD, KARMA.)
Covet: "I said Never. Mind." Kelsey said turning to look at him, then turned back around and continued on her way starting to strip down as she made her way to the bathroom.
Alexithymiaa: "You said nevermind, but you're continuing to give me a fucking attitude, Kelsey!" he yelled at her back as she walked away, throwing his hands up. "What the fuck do you want me to do?"-
Covet: "I can't hear you!" She called out before she walked into the bathroom. Though after that statement she half expected him to come find her.
Alexithymiaa: "Really? How old are you?' he yelled at her back angrily as she disappeared into the bathroom. He started down the hallway after her, stopping short and turning to kick his foot into the half wall of the dining area which he instantly regret because now his foot was throbbing. "Mother fucker..."-
Covet: Kelsey heard something out there, then heard Brad curse, but she shrugged and continued with her shower, turning on the water now that she was naked, not worried, because she assumed he did it on purpose.
