>be Anon, currently sitting on the couch with your lover Ralsei, both of you shirtless, wearing shorts and suffering from the heat wave that's just begun to take effect.
>Although this isn't his first heat wave, it clear that Ralsei has not gotten use to them one bit.
>It's bad enough for you, but the fact that Ralsei is so fluffy and furry makes it twice as worse for him.
>Even with the AC at full blast, he's still looking like he ran a mile and back in the deeper parts of hell.
>You've actually kind of liked summer before you knew Ralsei, but now that he's such a big part of your life, you've come to despise it with all your heart.
>Mainly because the two of you always cuddle, especially in bed
>But now that the heat has arrived, cuddling is simply unbearable unless you leave the AC on all night, which, after a few nights of doing just that and receiving the bill afterwards, you've both learned not to do.
>The only time you can really hold him close is when you're both showering, and even then, it can't be all just hugging.
>...well, it has been a few times, which has led to some more… affectionate actions being performed.
>Nevertheless, you hated summer and so did your gote from the looks of it.
>You adjust the fan that's been cooling your face to the side, holding it still as the wind begins to cool off Ralsei, to little effect it seems.
>"Anoooon… what's the current temperature nooow…?" He whines softly as he slumps a little
>You reach out for your phone and groan a little when you check the temperature.
>"Still a flat 100 degrees… at least until mid-evening, from what it says…"
>Ralsei whines a bit louder and you move the fan a little closer to your heat-stricken gote, earning a tiny smile of gratitude from him, but you know it isn't doing much.
>"Hnnn… I knew we should have invested in a pool…"
>You nod, closing your eyes as you imagine the comfort of a cool, spacious pool for you and your lover to enjoy and stave off the otherwise unbearable heat.
>Suddenly, you're hit with an idea.
>Your eyes open and you sit up, looking out towards the backyard. Ralsei looks at you curiously, as to why you've suddenly moved.
>"Is something wrong, honey…?"
>You shake your head, telling him you have an idea that could help the two of you endure the heat.
>At this, he raises his slumped head and looks at you with a glint of hope in his eyes, "wh-what is it, Anon?"
>You quickly make your way to the kitchen, opening the sliding glass door and almost covering your face due to the sheer impact of the humidity hitting you. You close the glass door behind you as to let whatever cool air remains in the house stay inside.
>You walk bare footed over to the water hose that lays neatly wrapped on its stand, smiling ss you quickly undo it and turn the water on.
>You can sense from the water flowing through it that it's quite warm and it would take a minute to get cool.
>As you let the water cool, you go over to the shed beside the garden, opening it and looking around for a while, until you find exactly what you're looking for.
>A blue, clean plastic tarp as well as two of your old water guns.
>Closing the shed, you undo the tarp and lay it down on the grass, as well as cleaning up the water guns with the now very cold water. It's so refreshingly cold that you can't help but let the water cool you off from head to toe for a few seconds.
>Shivering and laughing a bit, you begin to fill the water guns, just as Ralsei walks out from the kitchen and looks down at you.
>"Mmmh… jeez the humidi… Anon? What are you doing with those?" He asks, just a tad bit nervous at the sight of such things.
>You can't help but chuckle a little bit, "I know how we can beat the heat, Rals! C'mon, you can use this water gun and we can help each other cool off! I promise it'll be fun for both of us. They only shoot cold water, I swear."
>Ralsei looks down at himself, then at you, then at the water gun you're holding out for him. He then semi reluctantly grabs the water gun and examines it, dripping with ice cold water after you've just filled it.
>"O-okay Anon… how do I use it th- eeep!"
>Before he can finish his sentence, you spray him with water, directly on his chest as you smile and chuckle more at his cute reaction.
>"Just aim and pump it! The faster you pump it, the more water com- ah! Hey!" You cover your face as you're suddenly given a taste of your own medicine.
>"Aw c'mon, no fair!" You pout at the oblivious, smiling gote before you.
>"I thought you said we were gonna help each other cool off, Anon?~" He says innocently, before giving you one of his signature, smug looks.
>Usually, such a thing would fluster you to no end, but not this time.
>You return the smug look with a mischievous smirk, "Oh, it's on~"
>And so the two of you continue your water war for several hours, laughing, yelling and squealing throughout it all. It was during this time that you found out just how adept and nimble Ralsei was. He didn't have the best accuracy, but was he one hard target to hit. He could've run circles around you and sprayed you relentlessly.
>But that wouldn't have been as fun, of course. Sometimes, one of you would use the hose to refill the water guns, while the other went inside and refilled it via the kitchen sink, only to come out and get sprayed and sprayed.
>And at some point, Ralsei found a third water gun somehow and straight up dual weilded them against you, much to your overly dramatic horror, with him giggling menacingly.
>After several hours, the two of you finally stopped and considered it a draw, just as the ruthless sun was beginning to settle over the horizon.
>The two of you were now sitting on the tarp, a glass of cool homemade lemonade that Ralsei made in one another's hands.
>You were sat behind your gote, head resting in between his horns and your free arm wrapped around his wet, messy fluffy body, while Ralsei pressed into you and held your hand in his free paw, sipping happily as you both watched the sunset.
>Music played softly out of your waterproof mini speaker that laid beside the two of you. You plant a kiss on his head, causing Ralsei to giggle happily.
>"I love you, Ralsei."
>"Mmmm~ I love you too, Anon~ I had so much fun today because of what we did."
>You smile and squeeze him, "I'm glad~ If it gets any hotter, I'll be sure to get us more things to use. Maybe even buy us a pool to really let us push through this heat wave."
>Ralsei smiles happily at this, purring a little as you begin to pet his ear.
>"H-heheh… this really will make grooming my fur a bit of a pain though…"
>"Yeah, but it's definitely worth it." You smile, before looking down at Ralsei, who looks up at you with a visible blush.
>"How about we go take a cold shower before we go to bed? It'll make grooming your fur easier too."
>"Yes please." He responds softly, moving his head up to meet your lips, stealing a kiss from you. You blush at the sudden action, before you pick up your dripping wet gote and hear him squeak at the suddenness of it.
>You then steal a kiss back from him as you look down at him, his blush now matching yours as you carry him back indoors, leaving the stuff in the backyard to clean for later.
