  1. With her two children falling, Mujin led them up north and to an abandoned church. Looking at the structures worn out state, she'd simply approach the old, eroding door and force it open with a hard pushed with her shoulder. Once in, she guided them to the center.
  2.
  3. Stopping, she turned to the two. Though the church was dark, they could feel her crimson eyes glue to the both. For a moment, only silence. Maybe a few chirps from the crickets that now used the house of worship. And now, a slight sigh from Mujin that echoed.
  4.
  5. "I.." She looked from Lanyu, the oldest, to Hailin, the second oldest. The various overgrown roots that riddled the church began to rattle a bit. Mujin felt herself struggle to get past 'I'. The roots then rippled a bit violently now and the woman bit her lip. Her two oldest were fine. Practically unharmed. Safe. Well. Anything that wasn't injured or dead.
  6.
  7. "I'm.." The plants seemed to build up with apressure- As if they were going to explode. Some wiggled and moved on their own and once closer to the small woman, they shook more violently, some overflowing with Mujin's mana and bursting.
  8.
  9. "I'm so glad you two are okay..." With that, the rattling stopped and seemed to let out a relied sigh for Mujin. She stepped forward to both Hailin and Lanyu and wrapped them in a tight embrace. Though very small, her arms wrapped around them both equally as she pulled them in close.
  10.
  11. They could fell her shake ever so slightly yet not a single sigh of crying came from her. Once pulled away, she bore the same face as before. Yet, happiness and relieve painted it.
  12.
  13. Letting her hands slip away from the two, the real reason for them being here would be revealed as Mujin cleared her throat and composed herself.
  14.
  15. "You two, Lanyu, Hailin, are the oldest. You know more than your younger siblings. You're also their go to for protection.." She started, her crimson hues shifting to Hailin, who bore the same ones as her. "Now, more than ever, you need to protect them. Our home was stolen from us. You know this. There is no hiding that. They came in, destroyed our homes. Destroyed our families. They shaped our lives permanently with this.." Her fist clenched and her tone grew more serious as she went on.
  16.
  17. "While fighting for our home, a man beside me prayed. He prayed to return to his child and wife in Prosperity. He fought for them. He fought hard, sword in hand, Azrael in his heart..." She took a deep breath. "I watched him be slaughtered. Violently. Mercilessly. Right there, right beside me." Now, she looked at the both of them. The roots once more responding to her emotions with slight tremors.
  18.
  19. "I've only asked two things of both of you: To be happy and to protect one another. Yet, now, I will go against my wish for you two to forge your own paths." She let her words drag on for a little as she bit her lip. "Lanyu Karasu. Hailin Karasu." She spoke their names directly and emphasized them more than she ever has, in hopes that they'd envision themselves once hearing them.
  20.
  21. "Right now, I ask for both of you to fight harder than you ever have before. Your brother needs you. Your sisters need you." Mujin paused, a shake now heard in her voice. "I Need you."
  22.
  23. "Mama needs for you to be strong. Mama needs for you both to be soldiers.." The moonlight flickers off her beaten mythril armor. "Can you two be soldiers for mama?" Right now, she expected nothing but a direct and confident answer from the two.
  24. (Mujin Karasu)
