But Dack had found that their metallic lazotep coating responded to a specific kind of artificer’s hex that he had long ago mastered. It magnetized the lazotep, causing any two Eternals to crash into each other and, well, stick. In their attempts to free themselves, they usually tripped and fell, causing considerable damage to one another—and in any event, they left themselves open to attack. Dack could then move in and finish both Eternals off with a borrowed sword. It was gruesome work but effective.
