- Now then, onto our favorite section: JoJolity! Today, Dawn and Blake competed to see who could contribute more to the overall enjoyment of the match, and I got to witness it.
- No, not from the stands, from the biopic of the lead batter on the Green Tigers made in 2055. Keep up.
- We’ll continue the trend by starting with Dawn!
- Dawn does a lot to keep the ground floor moving. The beetles are in constant motion, keeping things stable and *just inside* of regulation play, *just enough* to make it seem normal to onlookers.
- Every little play and detail is made to look like the Red Monsters not only have a fighting chance, but that they can swing out and WIN the match, which, while it isn’t the goal, would serve as a possible ‘greatest upset’ in the sportsball movie eventually made about the Green Tigers. Or they’d omit it, like some sportsball movies.
- The gimmick changes and attempts made to make the game less ‘unfun’ for viewers and players alike are well-met and well-received.
- There’s not a lot I can cover here that I didn’t already cover in the main strat, perhaps aside from ‘integration’, so I’ll give this side another **8** for effort!
- Alright Blake, welcome to the other half of your delib.
- My ‘Hallmark Movie’ outlook wasn’t made in jest, I genuinely mean that you wrote a pretty solid tv-soap-sportsball movie plot. It’s a bit cheesy, what with Blake knowing enough to glean what his teammates can and will do in advance, and making those things happen borderline magically, but that’s the hallmark of a hallmark movie!
- It’s cheese, but it’s the kind of cheese you bring home to eat.
- You went ahead and spent the entire strat involving all the players, making sure that big hits were made to get eyes on and heads in the game, and you threw in those special stand-based funky bits to give it that little edge.
- While this JoJolity delib is far from my longest- mostly because I cannibalized about half of it to make your quality delib- I hope you appreciate this **8**!

- Going through this quickly, both teams fundamentally have a really solid grasp on what makes the game fun and interesting to the crowd. Both Blake and Dawn have really good plays for making the game exciting and interesting, and would baseline get a 7. However. I wanted to shout out a specific part of Dawn's strategy. That is, variation and understanding what is fair. Dawn takes pains to keep things fair, both offensively and especially defensively. I couldn't point out a single part of her strategy that felt like it was unplayable (something that Blake also had, in all fairness), and Dawn puts extra effort in playing into the Tigers to give them chances to learn; I especially liked the point of re-throwing pitches that a specific player was weak to so they could learn the counterplay.
- Both teams did very well, but the extra consideration for the Tigers means I'll give Blake a high 7/10 and Dawn an 8/10. Great job!

- Moving to Jojolity, I'll start with Dawn once again. Spreading out the flippers across several teammates definitely helps keep everyone happy, but I do think there is a bit of a lack of "showmanship" to some of it - being too unsubtle is a no-go for sure, but it comes at something of a detriment to the wow factor. There aren't any big moments to point to that come across as especially entertaining. Dawn's focus on keeping the game close and making it a nail-biter finish is a solid tactic and a surefire way to get people on the edge of their seats. But considering she's got supernatural powers, I think she plays it too safe at times to the detriment of the spectacle of it all. Still, for the solid effort, I think a **7** is fair.
- As for Blake, the little narrative bits of the commentators are a great touch that elevates the Jojolity here a lot - having live coverage of the events of the games is a small sacrifice to character count to hype up the stakes of it all and make this game feel a lot bigger than it probably is. That said, for some of the Red Monsters, it really might be that big, so... either way, I liked the touch. Add on to that some of the crazy stunts Blake uses his cymbals to help his team pull (in particular, I liked Blake using a cymbal-powered save to show Shorshe how exciting outfield can be, as both a narrative piece and a bit of mechanical integration), and I think you found the recipe for success here. A firm **8.**
