- I don't know about you, but i think the best way to put the banks on notice AND to help your community, is by stopping the foreclosure scam on a mass-level.
- I have recently submitted paperwork to JPMorganChase requesting that they prove that they have the rightful ownership of our mortgage, and to show that they have the legal rights to collect on it.
- The mortgage trust deed is held by MERS, and was transferred 6+ times (as part of the banks trading MBS's).
- When we first approached JPMorganChase about getting a loan modification several years back, we were told that the only way that they could help us, is by us going several months late on the mortgage.
- Turns out, the Banks told a ton of other people the same thing, and, as it stands, the Banks ended up foreclosing on a large number of people who were simply doing exactly as they were instructed to do, BY THE BANKS!!!
- If you don't see a problem with this, well, then I can't help you.
- Might also want to consider applying local and state foreclosure statutes.
- Oregon foreclosure laws: http://www.foreclosure.com/statelaw_OR.html
- If you live in another state, simply swap out "OR" in the link, with your states two-letter abbreviation.
- If you want to share this with people who are being foreclosed on, you can access foreclosure filing & notice of default information at your local county recorders office, as well as get homeowner information such as name, address, etc.
