Louise just stared blankly at me. Then pinched the bridge of her nose and flounced away. Even twenty years after I'd met her, she acted the part of the child entirely too well, but we both knew it was just an act.

Besides, there was plenty of treasure and adventure to be had, even after our trip to the island and the swashbuckling, double-crosses, triple-crosses, and quadruple-crosses that ensued. There was even one fellow, Robinson Crusoe, that we came across in our travels who we gave a ride back to the mainland along with a friend of his.

And got blown off course and ended up coming across a completely DIFFERENT shipwrecked family.

And then got blown off course AGAIN and ended up coming across a treasure hoard.

It got a bit funny after a while, but it was all in good fun, really. Even if Louise really wanted to strangle Dr. Livesey's assistant for some odd reason...
