  2. His sister was missing. Gaz, his only other family besides his father, was just *gone*. Sure, they were never on very friendly terms, Gaz usually hating his guts, but she's still his little sister, and despite everything, she means the world to him. At the very least, her constant presence in his life makes her absence feel that much more yawning. And she's just. gone. Just gone!! It has Dib practically pulling his hair out in panic.
  3.
  4. But he's absolutely certain he knows who is to blame... Zim.
  5.
  6. That horrible little buggy demon that moved onto Dib's street some months ago, making a nuisance of himself, and being the bane of Dib's existence with his evil, demonic schemes bent on conquering Heaven itself! And yet... no one but Dib had noticed the disguise demon's obvious demon-ness, nor cared about his evil schemes. So Dib had made it his business, no, his *purpose*, to be a thorn in Zim's side, to prevent him from furthering his infernal evil.
  7.
  8. But he couldn't stop Zim from taking his sister. He knows it was Zim who did it!! Who else would do such a thing to a harmless* little girl? (*Dib is conveniently forgetting how terrifying and less than harmless his sister is) And yet, when Dib confronted him, Zim played dumb, like he didn't even recognize Gaz's name, and had certainly never kidnapped her. That just... set Dib off, and he went off on Zim, chasing him down when the demon chose to run, eventually retreating down some hole. Dib only hesitated a moment, before diving in after him. His sister needed him!!

  11. He hadn't expected the tunnel to be so... long, though. Nor for Zim to have vanished out of sight down its dark depths so immediately, leaving only scrapings and crumbling tunnel walls in his panicked wake. Yeah, you be afraid, Zim... Dib is coming for you. He WILL get his sister back. Just... after he finds his way down this tunnel. Why is it so long, and so DARK? Why does it twist and turn, dump him down long, steep, craggy slopes, roughing up his clothes and wings as he slides all the way down?
  12.
  13. He finds his answers when he finally reaches the bottom of the tunnel, albeit covered in bruises and scrapes and dirt, and missing a few alabaster feathers. The place he was dumped is dark and a bit musty, but even in the dark and the dust, Dib quickly finds himself in the shadows of buildings, in alleys beyond alleys. Where in the world is this?? What is this place- his answer comes when he finds a sliver of low light, following it between the tight-packed buildings, until he finally emerges onto a busy street...
  14.
  15. A street populated by demons. Wings covered in dark feathers, or leathery and batlike, or even stranger. Sometimes horns and tails, or even stranger features (yet very few as strange as Zim). There's no sign of Zim himself, but with this many demons around, all of Dib's questions have been answered:
  16.
  17. He's in hell. This must be where his sister was taken- a demon glances his way, towards the boy and his still angelic, alabaster wings. With a yelp, Dib immediately retreats back into the alleys, out of sight, to gather himself. Okay, he's in hell. Oh, holy crap, he's in HELL!! His sister is in hell, too- what could've happened to her?? Is she okay? What must these hideous demons be doing to her?! Can he find her, can he save her? Maybe- but not like this. He's not prepared. He needs to go back home, gather some equipment, try to tell their dad (surely the Professor would listen when he realized his daughter was missing? They all know Membrane always preferred his younger child more.). Then he'll be back, prepared and maybe even with backup. Maybe he could gather a whole angel army to storm Hell itself-

  20. Dib was wandering back the way he came while making his plans, until it hits him that he's... not a hundred percent sure which direction exactly that he came from? He can't seem to find that tunnel exit anymore in the dark and the dust. He focuses more on looking, panic mounting as he continues not to find it... where is it?? Where's the tunnel??! He can't get back without the tunnel!! Oh, God, oh, man...!!!
  21.
  22. Hours later and Dib still hasn't found his way back to the tunnel, and it finally sinks in that he... might be stuck. Stuck in Hell. An angel, in hell, surrounded by demons. Demons that surely would have dark designs for an angel like him- they might eat his liver, or worse...!! He'll have to stay out of sight, sneak around, until he can either find Gaz or find his way back home... And maybe, while he's at it, he can do a little spying..!
  23.
  24.
  25. That was weeks ago, though. Most thoughts of spying have left Dib's mind by now, replaced instead by constant panic and paranoia as he tries desperately not to get caught, skittering like a rat in the darkened alleys and side-streets of Hell, hiding amongst dirt and garbage. He survives mainly off whatever scraps he can get ahold of, sometimes resorting to stealing. Some demons, like the angels back home, are particularly unobservant, letting Dib snatch up food they leave unattended or unwatched. Others, like this one pretty demon he sees a lot (and wonders if the guy is aware Dib is there? No, certainly not!), are particularly clumsy, dropping whole bits of food that he can easily snatch up an devour out of sight. Sometimes he even has to scavenge for scraps to eat straight from the trash, even if it's absolutely disgusting, and makes him feel sick in more ways than one...
  26.
  27. He feels like some sort of feral animal. But it's the best he can do, right now, to survive. For the sake of his sister, and for the sake of his own wellbeing, he CANNOT get caught by these infernal devils! He is an ANGEL, and they are the ENEMY- Even if his once alabaster wings have gone slightly ashy in the weeks since he tumbled down to this horrible place... He hasn't even noticed.
  28. ```
  29. ```
  30. For now, Dib takes his rest, whatever of that he can manage in his constantly paranoid state, in whatever dark hidey holes he can find... such as in some crevice or nook in the side of this... house? It might be a house. Near the trash, in the dark of the alley beside it. It smells, but by now, Dib is used to it. He's hunched over, arms around his legs, pulled to his chest with his chin on his knees, grayed wings wrapped about himself, and rocking gently.
  31.
  32. All this constant panic can't be good for his heart, the way it thumps wildly in his chest more often than not, frequently leaving him out of breath. But he can't help it. He's utterly terrified! At any moment he could be caught by the enemy, and who knows what would happen then? He has to stay alert... always... can't sleep, demons might eat him.
  33. ```
