  1. Durant gets First Impression now, which I think coupled with how strong Durant is and the fact that it's STAB makes Durant a contender for Tier 3. Incineroar I already felt was undertiered last season and now Incineroar also gets Parting Shot which just makes it all the more obnoxious. If you wanna put Kyurem in Tier 1 go for it, I think Burn or Elias share the same feelings but I just don't know if I believe in it that much personally. Seismitoad to Tier 2 is admittedly kind of a shakey one but the addition of Liquidation and Power Whip and the fact that it was already really good at least Tier 3. Admittedly it's really good in Galar Dex so that may be clouding my judgment a bit. Silvally similarly to Incineroar I already felt was undervalued last season and now Multi-Attack is 120 power so now it always has a 100% accurate no drawback STAB move that's as strong as shit like Close Combat and Flare Blitz. Vikavolt again I felt was underpriced last season and now it also gets webs. Gyarados admittedly I just kinda put there less so because I felt like it needed to happen and moreso I just wanted to see what everyone else thinks about it. I'm fine with it being Tier 2, although I will say half of Gyarados's problems from last gen hardly apply anymore thanks to Heavy Duty Boots and Power Whip. Mew is a hot take I get, and if doesn't happen fine, I admit I may be overanalyzing this one, but to me Mew getting Dragon Dance means guessing its set wrong can lose you games now. Rotom-Heat is just good, like that's the only reason I have for it. The only thing that's been keeping Volcarona in check for the past 9 years is the fact that it loses half its life to Stealth Rock, but now it doesn't care about that thanks to Heavy Duty Boots. That thing can come in no matter how littered the field is with hazads, set up a Quiver Dance and sweep your team. Tapu Lele to me was already starting to feel like it could've been unbanned last gen but now terrains are weaker than they were last gen only giving a 1.3 power boost instead of a 1.5 power boost. Like last gen it could just click Psychic and break through anything but now I feel it could be manageable enough to at least test it out. The thing with Rillaboom and Cinderace, and I guess Inteleon too, is even in the National Pokédex format you can't use their Hidden Abilities as they've *never* been legal. If those abilities get released between now and when the season starts then these tierings would have to be revisited but until such a time arises these Pokémon don't have them and therefore they can't be used for consideration. Polteageist gets Shell Smash and Ghost-types are really strong. Even with Pursuit being back for this format Polteageist really doesn't wanna have to swap once it's in anyway so I don't think that matters too much. Elephant sucks, but Elias tells me I'm wrong about that sometimes. I just know it's 100 points in the IPL, we're doing 3 drafts this season, I'm the only one who drafted it and it's currently like 1-5 or something like that.
