Sumeragi: It’s quite alright. In fact, we wanted to speak with you as well.

「そうか…では、先に聞かせてもらおうか」
Bright: I see... Then, let’s hear what you have to say first.

スメラギ
「いいのですか?」
Sumeragi: Are you sure?

ブライト
「ああ、話が早くなるかも知れんのでな」
Bright: Yes, I think that may speed this along.

スメラギ
「では…こちらから貴隊にお願いがありまして、
私達を一時的に同行させていただきたいのです」
Sumeragi: Very well... Then if possible, we would like to accompany you temporarily.

(…予想通りだ)
Amuro: (...No surprise there.)

スメラギ
「現状の我々は、
裏切り者が[ヴェーダ]を掌握したことにより、
丸裸にされているようなものです」
Sumeragi: We’re on our own now that a traitor has seized control over [Veda].

「唯一の戦力たるガンダムも、
エクシアを除いた3機が戦闘不能、
然るべき施設で修理を行わなければなりません」
Sumeragi: We presently have only 1 Gundam capable of combat and the remaining 3 will all require repairs at a suitable facility.

「このままでは、
遠からず全滅の憂き目に遭いかねません」
Sumeragi: As it stands, we could very well meet our end in the near future.

スメラギ
「それを避けるためには、一時的に
別の世界へ退避した方がいいと考えています」
Sumeragi: And so to prevent that from happening, we feel it would be in our best interest to temporarily escape to another world for now.

「…実は、私も同じことを提案しようと思っていた」
Bright: ...Actually, I had intended to recommend the same course of action.

スメラギ
「では…」
Sumeragi: Then...?

ブライト
「同行を許可するが、他の世界にいる間は
こちらの指揮下に入ってもらう」
Bright: We will allow you to accompany us. However, while you are in other worlds, you must follow our orders.

スメラギ
「了解しました。
それで、以後の行動は?」
Sumeragi: Understood. In that case, what’s our next move?

ブライト
「国連軍の標的となっている以上、
この世界に留まるのは危険だ。
それに、ハーザからの連絡もない」
Bright: We won’t be safe in this world so long as the UN Forces are targeting us. And we’ve yet to receive contact from Haza.

ブライト
「よって、我々は最も近いゲートから
他の世界へ移動しようと考えている」
Bright: Therefore, we believe we should move to a different world by means of the nearest Gate.

スメラギ
「直近のゲートと言えば、日本ですね。
国連軍の追撃を振り切り、[ブリタニア]の警戒網を
突破して辿り着くには…」
Sumeragi: The closest Gate would be in Japan. That would mean we would need to shake off the UN Forces pursuing us and also break through the [Britannian’s] defensive net...

「バリアを展開した上で、プトレマイオスと
ラー・カイラムを準軌道飛行にてゲートへ
突入させるプランを提案します」
Sumeragi: I would suggest we deploy barriers around the Ra Cailum and the Ptolemaios and perform a sub-orbital spaceflight to reach the Gate.

「やっぱり、その手か…」
Benkei: I kind of figured we’d be going that route...

「既に考えられていたのですね」
Sumeragi: I take it you’ve already considered that method then.

ミサト
「ええ。
以前に私達はそれを成功させています」
Misato: Yeah. It worked out pretty well for us not too long ago.

スメラギ
「行動を開始したら、ブリタニア側に
察知されるでしょう。しかも、目的地は
彼らの重要施設の近く…」
Sumeragi: The Britannians will be sure to notice what we’re trying as soon as we begin. What’s more, our target destination is within close proximity to some of their most valuable facilities...

「相当な抵抗が予想されますね」
Sumeragi: We can expect considerable resistance on their part.

「ですから、彼らの注意を削ぐ必要があります」
Misato: Then that means we need a little distraction.

Zero: ...And so you want us to be your diversion.

「あくまでも要望です」
Misato: That is our request.

「以前に、そちらがこの世界へ再度到来した場合、
まず我々に連絡を取ってもらいたいという
要望を出していたのだが…」
Zero: And yet earlier, I had requested that you contact us first, should you ever find yourselves in this world again...

「プトレマイオスとだけ連係を行った結果が、
今の現状。あなた達は[ソレスタルビーイング]の
闇の深さを読み違えたのだ」
Zero: Your present situation is the result of only making contact with the Ptolemaios. You’ve clearly underestimated just how dark [Celestial Being’s] underbelly truly is.

「…我々は、この世界で起こると予測された
災厄を未然に防ぐことが主目的だった」
Bright: ...Our main objective was to prevent whatever disaster threatened this world before it had occurred.

「しかし、ハーザという並行世界の観測者は、
今の窮状まで予想できていなかったようだな」
Zero: Unfortunately, it would appear this Haza you mentioned was unable to predict the disaster that is your current predicament.

「我々としても、無理を言うつもりはない。
そちらに事情があるのなら…」
Bright: It was not our intention to request anything unreasonable. If that’s how you feel, then--

「いや、ブリタニアの陽動を承ろう。
持ちつ持たれつ、だ」
Zero: On the contrary, I accept your role as Britannia’s distraction. We’ll consider this to be a matter of give and take.

「そちらの作戦プランをこちらで検討した後、
協議を行わせてもらいたい」
Zero: Once I have reviewed your operation plan, we will begin negotiations.

「了解した。データは直ちに送る。

Bright: Understood. The data will be sent immediately. We appreciate your cooperation.

Ohgi: Diving straight into the Gate from extreme altitudes... Can they really pull off something that wild?

Kallen: Given all the unusual weapons Londo Bell has at its disposal, probably...

「だが、降下減速時に集中砲火を受けるぞ」
Todo: Still, they’ll be under heavy concentrated fire during their descent.

「ああ。到達ポイントが固定されているから、
軌道はすぐに読まれる」
Zero: Correct. And since their target point is in a fixed location, their trajectory will be predicted easily.

「強力なバリアで母艦を防御するとは言え、
ブリタニアが富士山麓に大部隊を展開すれば、
彼らは格好の標的となるだろう」
Zero: Even with powerful barriers to protect the ships, they’d be prime targets should the Britannians deploy a large enough force at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

「そうさせないために、あたし達が動くんですね」
Kallen: And our job will be to make sure that doesn’t happen.

「短期的な視点では、メリットがありませんが…」
Diethard: If you only look at it from the short-term, there’s no immediate benefit to aiding them...

「ロンド・ベル隊はプトレマイオスと
[ガンダムマイスター]達を組み込んだ。
それは一時的なものかも知れんが…」
Zero: Londo Bell and the Ptolemaios, along with its [Gundam Meisters], are now operating as one. Even though it may only be a temporary arrangement...

「後の我々にとって、必ず有利な要因となる。
ソレスタルビーイングとの対決は、
避けて通れない道だからな」
Zero: There is no doubt putting them in our debt now will serve us well in the future. A confrontation with Celestial Being is inevitable, after all.

先が思いやられるわ」
Juzo: Man, if we got this much to deal with on day one, I don’t wanna imagine what’s next after this...

「ああ…皿洗いで水が思うように使えないのは、
大変だな」
Show: Yeah... Washing all these dishes is pretty tough when there’s a limit on how much water you can use.

小介
「宇宙船で水は貴重品ですからね。
リサイクルしているとは言え」
Kosuke: Water is a precious resource on a spaceship, recycled or not.

豹馬
「けどよ、普段は皿洗いに水どころか人手も
使ってねえんだろ。なのに、わざわざ俺達に
やらせるなんて、艦長も意地が悪いぜ」
Hyoma: You know, we usually don’t even have the water to spare for dish washing, let alone the manpower. The captain’s being pretty harsh to make us do it despite all that.

小介
「でも、命令違反の罰が皿洗いと洗濯で
済んでいるのは、温情だと思います」
Kosuke: Well I think it’s actually nice of him to make dish washing and laundry the only punishment for defying orders.

「そん通りだ」
Daisaku: Too true.

甲児
「古風に甲板掃除とか言われたら、地獄だぜ?
ラー・カイラムはデカいんだからよ」
Koji: Can you imagine if he said we had to scrub the deck old-fashion like? The Ra Cailum is pretty dang big. It’d be hell.

「それにしても、甲児の手際の良さには
感心しちゃったわ。男子の中じゃ、
食器を洗うのが一番上手で早いんだもの」
Chizuru: By the way, I’m pretty impressed with you, Koji. You’re the fastest and the most thorough dishwasher among the boys.

甲児
「家にいた頃、炊事洗濯は俺がやってたからな。
お手の物だぜ」
Koji: Yeah, I used to handle all the cooking and cleaning back home. I kinda got a knack for it now.

ちずる
「そういうの、女子から見たらポイント高いわよ。
豹馬達も見習って欲しいわ」
Chizuru: That’s a strong point from a girl’s perspective. A shame Hyoma and the others don’t follow your example.

豹馬
「うるせえな、俺だって孤児院にいた時は
たまにやってたぜ。勘を取り戻せてねえだけだ」
Hyoma: Oh, stuff it. I used to do this in the orphanage from time to time. I just never got the hang of it, is all.

(Kenichi enters.)

健一
「…やっぱり、まだここにいたのか。
マジンカイザーとコン・バトラーVに
出動命令が出てるぞ」
Kenichi: ...I figured you guys were still here. Mazinkaiser and Combattler V have orders to launch.

豹馬
「何だよ、警報なんて鳴ってなかっただろ」
Hyoma: Huh? But there aren’t any alarms going off.

健一
「例の弾道飛行をまたやるらしい。
目的地は富士山のゲートだ」
Kenichi: Looks like we’re gonna be making a sub-orbital spaceflight again. Our destination is the Gate at Mt. Fuji.

豹馬
「うえっ、
またロケット・ブースターになれってのかよ」
Hyoma: Ugh, so they’re turning us into rocket boosters again.

甲児
「今回、俺はマジンカイザーだから、
推力がアップしてるぜ」
Koji: This time I’ll have even more thrust thanks to Mazinkaiser.

「富士山のゲートなら、
その先は宗介やキラ達の世界か」
Show: Since it’s Mt. Fuji’s Gate, it should lead us to Sousuke and Kira’s world.

ちずる
「あの後、アークエンジェルは
無事にオーブまで辿り着けたのかしら…」
Chizuru: I wonder if the Archangel made it to Orb safely after all that happened...

「既に知らせてあるが、
大西洋連邦の施設が武装グループによって
占拠された」
Kalinin: As you have been informed earlier, an armed group has seized an Atlantic Federation facility.

カリーニン
「ベリルダオブ島の化学兵器解体基地…
神経ガスが数百トン単位で保管されている」
Kalinin: The chemical weapons dismantling facility on Berildaobu island... Which is currently storing a few hundred tons of nerve gas.

カリーニン
「問題の武装グループは、要求が受け入れられない場合は
貯蔵庫のガスをばら撒くと言っている」
Kalinin: The armed group is now threatening to release every last drum of nerve gas now in storage if their demands are not met.

ダニガン
「へえ。
そいつはまた、ド派手にやってくれるじゃないか」
Danigan: Heh. They’re really making a show of it this time.

マオ
「ダニガン、まだ説明の途中よ」
Mao: The briefing isn’t over, Danigan.

ダニガン
「っと、失礼」
Danigan: Ngh, sorry.

カリーニン
「主な任務は敵[AS]制圧と人質の安全確保、
及び重要施設の破壊阻止だ。敵戦力は現在のところ、
AS9機と自走式のトリプルA5両」
Kalinin: Our main duty is to suppress the enemy [AS] units, secure the safety of any hostages taken by the enemy, and prevent the destruction of the facility. We estimate their current fire power at 9 AS’s and 5 self-propelled Triple A’s.

カリーニン
「そして、最大限の注意を払わなければならないのが、
とある特殊装備を搭載した機体だ」
Kalinin: And, there is one machine in particular that is outfitted with special equipment, which we must treat with the utmost caution.

「…!」
Sousuke: ...!

クルツ
「連合のアラスカ基地で世話になった奴か」
Kurz: The guy that put us through the ringer back at the Alliance’s base in Alaska.

宗介
(あの時、肝心な所で
こちらの[ラムダ・ドライバ]は起動しなかった。
もし同じことが起きてしまったら…)
Sousuke: (Back then, I wasn’t able to activate the [Lambda Driver] when I needed it. If the same thing happens again...)

カリーニン
「通常のM9では、まず勝ち目がない。
もし、この機体と遭遇したら、
直接の交戦は避けるように。つまり、逃げろ」
Kalinin: The average M9 has no chance of victory against it. Should you encounter it, you should avoid direct combat. In other words, run away.

カリーニン
「会敵した場合、その対応は相良軍曹にやってもらう。
他の者は後退して援護に回れ」
Kalinin: In the event that you do confront this enemy, it is to be left to Sergeant Sagara. All others will fallback and provide support.

ダニガン
「…それほどまでに警戒すべき敵とは、
私としても不安を感じずにはいられませんな、
少佐殿」
Danigan: ...You know, I can’t help but be a little worried seeing the Lieutenant Commander so cautious of it.

ダニガン
「アラスカでは
フリーダムに助けてもらったんでしょう?
頼んでみちゃどうですかね」
Danigan: The Freedom helped us out in Alaska, right? We ought to ask it for help this time too.

マオ
「ダニガン、少しお喋りが過ぎるようね」
Mao: That’s a little too much chatter coming from you, Danigan.

クルツ
「だいたい、
フリーダムはミスリルの護衛対象だろうが」
Kurz: The Freedom is one of the things Mithril wants to keep safe to begin with, anyways.

ダニガン
「ただのぼやきだ。真面目に受け取るなよ」
Danigan: I’m just talking to myself here. Don’t take it seriously.

カリーニン
「いいか、
私が逃げろと言ったのは助言や頼みではない。
命令だ。無視した者は厳罰に処する」
Kalinin: Now, know that when I say ‘run away’, it’s not a suggestion or a request. It’s an order. Failure to follow orders will be punished.

カリーニン
「もっとも、生きていればの話だが…」
Kalinin: That is, assuming you’re still alive...

Sousuke: ...

カリーニン
「作戦の概略については以上だ。
続けて、詳細をマッカラン大尉から説明してもらう」
Kalinin: That concludes the summary of the operation. Lieutenant McAllen will now proceed with the explanation of the particulars of the operation.

『アビス・パーティ』
Episode 81
Abyss Party


(Scene begins on a map screen of Berildaobu island. Sousuke is on the map.)

宗介
(ミッションは順調。
既に敵ASを4機破壊。
だが、奴はまだ姿を見せない…)
Sousuke: (The mission is proceeding well. I’ve destroyed 4 enemy AS already. But, he still hasn’t appeared...)

ダニガン
「単独でAS4機を撃墜するとは
大したものだな、ウルズ7。カリーニン少佐から
信頼されているだけのことはある」
Danigan: Taking down 4 AS single-handedly is no small feat, Urzu 7. I can see why Lieutenant Commander Kalinin has so much faith in you.

宗介
「ウルズ12…
今は余計な話をしている時ではない」
Sousuke: Urzu 12... Now’s not the time for unnecessary chatter.

ダニガン
「こんな地味なミッションに、随分と真剣だな?
どうせ施設の爆弾が爆発したからって、
大した被害にはならんというのに」
Danigan: This mission’s a cake walk, so how about you get that stick out of your ass? Hell, even if the enemy’s bombs went off, I doubt we’d take much damage from it.

ダニガン
「そりゃ、ちょっとはここいらの貧乏人が
くたばるかも知れんがな」
Danigan: Granted, some of the poor bastards that live on this island might die, but hey, what the hell.

宗介
「ダニガン…」
Sousuke: Danigan...

ダニガン
「冗談だよ、本気にするな」
Danigan: It’s a joke, lighten up.

宗介
「…作戦中に言う冗談ではないな」
Sousuke: ...That’s not the kind of joke you say in the middle of an operation.

ダニガン
「本当に真面目な奴だな」
Danigan: You really are a stick in the mud.

ダニガン
「だが、そんなお前でも、この作戦が終わったら
ガールフレンドを日本から呼ぶって聞いたぜ?
お堅い上がよく許してくれたな」
Danigan: But way I hear it, you’ve got a girlfriend you can hit up in Japan after the operation, right? Hard to believe the tightwad higher-ups are okay with that.

Sousuke: ...

ダニガン
「あいつら、堅苦しいことばかり言ってくるから
意外だったぜ。装備とギャラはいいんだが、
やれ人質を守れだの、化学兵器に気をつけろだの…」
Danigan: Can you believe how stiff those guys are? The paycheck and the free gear are all well and good, but having to protect the hostages, watch out for the chemical weapons, and--

マッカラン
「ウルズ12、聞こえているぞ!
無駄口は慎め!」
McAllen: We can hear you, Urzu 12! Shut your trap!

ダニガン
「…了解」
Danigan: ...Roger.

ダニガン
(ったく、ギャラ分の仕事はするってのに
口うるさい親父だ)
Danigan: (Sheesh, I’ll do my job for the paycheck, but I could really do without the nagging old timers.)

マオ
「ウルズ2よりウルズ7へ!
そっちにASが行ったわ、3機!」
Mao: Urzu 2 to Urzu 7! I’ve got 3 AS coming your way!

(3 Savages appear.)

宗介
「ウルズ7、サベージ3機を確認した。
こちらで対処する」
Sousuke: This is Urzu 7, confirming 3 Savages. Engaging.

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

宗介
(これで敵戦力はほとんど削いだはずだが…
奴はいったい何をしている…!?)
Sousuke: (That should have done away with most of the enemy’s fighting strength... Just what is he playing at...!?)

マッカラン
「ウルズ1より各員へ!
まだ例のASと遭遇していない。
誰か見えないか?」
McAllen: Urzu 1 to all units! No sighting of the AS we were briefed on. Has anyone else seen him?

クルツ
「ネガティブ!見当たりまへん」
Kurz: Negative! Nowhere to be seen.

ダニガン
「こっちもだ」
Danigan: Same here.

マオ
「ネガ…いや、アファーマティブ!」
Mao: Nega--Wait, affirmative!

(Gauron appears.)

ガウルン
「アラスカでは世話になったなあ、カシム!
フハハハハッ!」
Gauron: Good job not dying in Alaska, Kashim! Hahahahah!

宗介
「ガウルン…!」
Sousuke: Gauron...!

「パーティだ!踊ろうぜ!」
Gauron: Party time! Let’s dance!

マッカラン
「ウルズ1より、ウルズ6へ!
狙撃は出来るか!?」
McAllen: Urzu 1 to Urzu 6! Is the target in range!?

クルツ
「ネガティブだ!
この位置からだと、射線が確保出来ねえ。
現在移動中!」
Kurz: Negative! I can’t get a clear line of sight from here. Moving to new position!

マッカラン
「ウルズ12、ミサイルは!」
McAllen: Urzu 12, use the missiles!

ダニガン
「弾切れです、サー!」
Danigan: Out of ammo, sir!

マッカラン
「ええい、くそったれ!各員、早急に援護へ回れ!
ウルズ7、作戦通り奴の相手を頼む!」
McAllen: Agh, damn it all! All units, move to cover ASAP! Urzu 7, engage the enemy like we planned!

宗介
「7、了解!」
Sousuke: 7, roger!

(Mao appears.)

マオ
「ソースケ、援護するわ!」
Mao: Sousuke, I’ll cover you!

宗介
「助かる。わかっているとは思うが、
くれぐれも奴には近付き過ぎるな」
Sousuke: Thanks. I’m sure you already know this, but don’t get too close to him.

マオ
「了解よ!」
Mao: Roger that!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when Gauron’s HP is below 50%.)

「しぶとい…!早く決着を付けねば!」
Sousuke: He’s tough...! We have to finish this soon!

ガウルン
「おいおい、
もうへばっちまったのか、カシム?」
Gauron: Hey come on, you already tuckered out, Kashim?

マオ
(機体を直接狙っても防がれる…なら!)
Mao: (That machine can defend against any direct attacks... So then...!)

(Mao moves next to Gauron.)

ガウルン
「んん?」
Gauron: Hmmm?

(Mao attacks Gauron.)

宗介
「武器を…!」
Sousuke: She targeted his weapon...!)

ガウルン
「へえ、やってくれるじゃねえか。
だけど、ちょいと調子に乗り過ぎたな」
Gauron: Heh, I’ll give you credit for that one. But don’t get ahead of yourself.

ガウルン
「バーン!」
Gauron: Bam!

(Gauron punches Mao.)

マオ
「…!」
Mao: ...!

宗介
「マオ!?」
Sousuke: Mao!?

マオ
「だ、大丈夫よ…でもごめん、
これ以上の戦闘は…ぐっ!」
Mao: I-I’m fine... Sorry, but I can’t fight anymore... Ugh...!

宗介
(俺がさっさと仕留めないばかりに、
マオを危険な目に…!)
Sousuke: (Mao’s been hurt all because I couldn’t take him down fast enough...!)

宗介
「よくもやってくれたな、ガウルン!」
Sousuke: How dare you, Gauron!

(Sousuke moves next to Gauron and attacks him.)

ガウルン
「っ…!
痛てぇじゃねえか、カシム!」
Gauron: Ngh...! That one really hurt, Kashim!

宗介
「一気にケリを付ける…!
アル、ラムダ・ドライバだ!」
Sousuke: I’ll end this right now...! Al, start the Lambda Driver!

アル
「………」
Al: ...

宗介
「!?アル、応答しろ!」
Sousuke: !? Al, respond!

アル
「………」
Al: ...

宗介
(使えない…!?また肝心な時に…!)
Sousuke: (I can’t use it...!? Even at a time like this...!?)

ガウルン
「ハハハハハ!何だよ、
まだラムダ・ドライバを使いこなせてねえのか!」
Gauron: Hahahahaha! Seriously, after all this time, you still don’t know how to use the Lambda Driver?

クルツ
「ソースケ、俺だ!
奴を南側にある建物までおびき寄せろ!」
Kurz: Sousuke, it’s me! Lure him to the south side of the building!

宗介
「どうする気だ?」
Sousuke: What are you going to do?

クルツ
「いいから、俺に任せろ!」
Kurz: Don’t worry, just leave it to me!

宗介
「…わかった」
Sousuke: ...Got it.

(Sousuke moves away from Gauron.)

ガウルン
「どこまで逃げる気だ?」
Gauron: And just how far are you planning to run?

(Sousuke stops at the south side of the building.)

クルツ
「よし、そこで停止!」
Kurz: Good, stop right there!

宗介
「…!」
Sousuke: ...!

ガウルン
「何だ、観念したのか?
がっかりだぜ、カシム!」
Gauron: What, are you giving up? I’m disappointed, Kashim!

(Gauron moves closer to Sousuke.)

クルツ
「もらった!」
Kurz: Gotcha!

(Kurz snipes Gauron from afar.)

ガウルン
「チッ、遠距離から…!」
Gauron: Tch, from long range...!

ガウルン
「やられたぜ、またオーバーヒートだ」
Gauron: You did it. It’s overheated again.

ガウルン
「いつぞやと立場が逆になったな。
フフ、降参だよ。好きにしな」
Gauron: Seems we’ve swapped roles from before. Heh heh, I surrender. Do whatever you want with me.

宗介
「ガウルン、貴様!」
Sousuke: Damn you, Gauron!

ガウルン
「撃たないのか?きっと後悔するぜ?
