Unforeseen Consequences - Destroy him!

>”AAAARGH! I AM TIRED OF THIS!” You were awaken once more by Chrysalis’ anger “YOU LITTLE SHRIMP! HOW DARE YOU TO DEFY ME?!”
>You wanted to reply with a snarky comment, to spit on her face, to do anything, but every time that you were placed inside of that cocoon you ended up absolutely drained, both in mind and body.
>Chrysalis started to walk around you“I have tried being nice, I have tried the cocoon more times than what I can count, I have tried everything for more than a week! WHY WON’T YOU BE MINE?!”
“Hey… *COUGH*… not fair… what kind… *COUGH* what kind of resort is this? I want… *COUGH* I want to see your manager… this place sucks”
>Chrysalis pinned you down with her hoof and let out an almost guttural growl “DO YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?!”
>Of course not, being stuck in that cocoon frickin’ sucked, but the time you were making Chrysalis waste… it gave your moms and everypony back at home a bigger chance to fight back.
>You won’t deny that making Chrysalis angry has become kind of a hobby though.
“What’s wrong? *COUGH* didn’t you say that you wanted to have some fun?”
>Chrysalis flew to her throne and rubbed her temples “I swear, this wouldn’t be so bad if that little pest could keep his mouth shut for a couple seconds. Ugh, not even his love is enough to make me feel better.”
“But Chrysalis, I thought that you wanted me to talk. *COUGH* Man, you really… are hard to please… you knew that?”
>Chrysalis continued rubbing her temples and groaned “Ooooh my headache is coming again! Why do I even bother with that worm? What am I even doing? This shrimp is not worth the pain… what is worth the pain, though?”
>You wanted to laugh at her but dang it, those idiots had sucked too much love out you. The only thing that you could do was to lie on your back and stare at the ceiling.
>For some time, the only sounds that could be heard in the throne room where Chrysalis’ groans and your own coughing.

>That is, until a certain odd looking changeling flew into the room ”My Queen!” Pharynx… that loyal little idiot.
>”WHAT?!” Chrysalis barked “Can’t you see that I’m having an existential crisis here?!”
>At first, Pharynx flinched in fear, but gulped down his fears and saluted Chrysalis “I-I’m sorry your majesty, but…”
>”BUT WHAT?!” Chrysalis leaned forward but quickly dropped the angry act when her headache came back “Just tell me already. My head feels like it’s about to implode”.
>The changeling cowered for a second but once again, he quickly shook it off “A-As you wish, my Queen. Your slaves are here with news from Canterlot”
>”Wait, what?!” Chrysalis jolted from her throne and gave Pharynx a good shake “What do you mean they are here?! Those idiots are supposed to be in Canterlot! WHY IN THE WHOLE WORLD…” She then dropped Pharynx and rubbed her temples “Just… Bring them in, maybe they actually did their job and I finally won’t have to rely on that Tartarus’ spawn that Celestia calls her son”
>”A-As you wish your majesty” The changeling bowed at her and then motioned other drones “You heard our Queen. Bring the slaves!”
>Your three friends entered in a perfect straight line, with Twilight at the front and Eris at the back. Speaking of Eris, she was the only one who had these massive sacks under her eyes, not only that, but she looked like a truck had just hit her.
>They bowed at Chrysalis and yelled “Long live Queen Chrysalis!” before remaining completely motionless.
>”Well?” Chrysalis addressed her three puppets with an annoyed tone “Don’t just stand there like the mindless drones you are! Tell me why you decided to drop the job I gave to you!”
>Twilight was the one to answer the question. She bowed to Chrysalis and spoke in an almost robotic voice “My Queen, I regret to inform that we have been found out by the Princesses”.

>”Gladly” Twilight robotically nodded “A few hours ago, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna discovered our ploy. We were forced to retreat to the hive not long after that”.
>Chrysalis’ left eye twitched and stood silent for a few moments. Then, she burst into pure rage “YOU INCOMPETENT FOOLS! YOU HAVE RUINED EVERYTHING!” She then flinched in pain “And managed to make my headache worse”.
>You could say something, y’know a smug remark to laugh at Chrysalis, but you read somewhere that you should never interrupt your enemy when their entire plan is blowing up in their face.
>Especially because you were the one causing all of this.
>Chrysalis flew from her throne and landed in front of Twilight, then she grabbed her and gave the purple princess a mighty shake “MY PLAN WAS PERFECT AND…!”
>She then dropped Twilight who fell flat on her face. Geez, that must’ve hurt.
>Chrysalis didn’t care at all, she just rubbed her chin and raised an eyebrow “It doesn’t make any sense. Your cover was perfect, I made sure of it. How did Celestia and her band of drooling featherbrains discover you?!”
>Twilight quickly stood up in a robotic fashion, and answered in the same tone “I’m afraid that we don’t know the reason. I’m sorry, your majesty.”
>Chrysalis slapped her face and growled “Of course you don’t. You are nothing but brainless idiots”
>This time was Starlight the one who spoke up with the same robotic tone as Twilight “My Queen, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna showed up with a platoon of guards. We followed your instructions step by step. We do not know how they discovered us”
>Chrysalis stomped her hoof in the ground so hard that made the entire room shake as she glared at Eris “Then why you didn’t stop them right there?! Aren’t you supposed to have chaos magic?! A couple alicorns and their petty guards should have been no problem for you!”

>Eris’s condition was clearly bad, she looked distracted, tired, defeated. Your poor sister placed her paw on her forehead and mustered “I… my… sorry… but”
>” I don’t have the patience to hear your mumbling!” Chrysalis replied with an impatient tone “Tell me already why you didn’t use your magic on those princesses!”
>Eris bowed to Chrysalis and unlike the other two, replied with a tired voice “Forgive me, my Queen, but… Discord was with them. I tried to fight… y’know… to retain your honor but… he… he was too powerful. The fight… I… didn’t have a chance”.
>That part made you curious. Discord went missing short after you were captured and he took Thorax with him. The only thing you could guess what that your moms created a fake Discords and used that to fight.
>But more than anything, you were worried about Eris, she looked like she was about to collapse.
>”Discord?! ARGH! That buffoon has never cared about anypony but himself! Why did he… ugh! My head…” Chrysalis sat on the ground and rubbed her temples before sighing “At least you weren’t stupid enough to let the medallion fall into his power, otherwise, we would be floating in pink clouds by now. Did you at least learn the location of the traitor?”
>”I’m sorry, my Queen.” Twilight said “But Thorax’s location still remains as a secret from everypony. Not even Princess Cadence knows where he is”.
>”HOW USELESS CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE?!” Chrysalis barked as she stomped her hoof on the ground “ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TELLING ME THAT YOU DIDN’T LEARN ANYTHING?!”
>”No, we managed to uncover something” Starlight replied with the same lifeless tone “We discovered that Equestria is preparing a mass invasion to our glorious hive”.
>”Pffft! Please!” Chrysalis rolled her eyes “Have you seen the weaklings that Celestia calls Royal Guard? All of them will be mine before they can know what happened”

> Eris was the next one to speak, but not without a great effort from her part ”The invasion? No… we… no… I learnt… something… Thorax… did something… to the captured soldiers… they… are now allied with… the princesses? I… know… they… the traitors… they will be leading… the charge”
>”What’s this?” Chrysalis looked at Eris with curiosity “Slave Twilight, why you didn’t tell me about this in the first place?”
>Twilight raised her eyebrow at Eris, but shrugged it off and turned to Chrysalis again “Excuse me, your majesty. I didn’t know that Eris had gathered information without our knowledge”
>Chrysalis rolled her eyes “Well, at least somepony wasn’t completely useless. Continue your briefing, slave. Tell me everything you know”
>Eris slowly nodded, looking more and more tired “Y-Yes… I-I will… the Princesses… I heard them talking about… a-about requesting help from… Griffonstone… Yakyakistan and… somepony named the Dragon Lord? S-Sorry… I don’t know who they are...”
>”Ugh! Perfect, just perfect! What’s next? The Storm King is coming to raid the hive too?” Chrysalis rolled her eyes and waved her hoof dismissively at them “Go away and stand guard or something… I don’t care… nothing matters anymore”
>”Yes, my Queen!” The three of them bowed “Long live Quee-“
>Chrysalis’ face became distorted with rage as she yelled “JUST GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE I PUT YOU IN A COCOON! ALL OF YOU! LEAVE ME ALONE! I need time to think… and deal with this horrible headache”
>Your three brainwashed friends bowed and left the room along with all the other changelings. Once again, the only sound in the throne room was Chrysalis’ groans of pain.
>That is, until you finally had enough strength to get up and go back to your smug game.
“Cool! Not only are you gonna get your flank royally kicked, but I will also get to see a real dragon and he sounds like a real badflank!”
>Chrysalis turned her head to you and growled “You better shut that pile of garbage you call mouth before…“ She sighed and shook her head “Just shut up. I’m seriously not in the mood to play our little back and forth game… not anymore”
>Oh… that face… she was actually depressed which should be absolutely perfect to rub her failure in her face, drop her morale and make the job way easier for your moms.
>Then why in the whole wide world of Equestria were you feeling bad for her?! She has frickin’ tormented and taunted you non-stop for a week or so! She has been using your friends and sister as her personal slaves!
>You shouldn’t be feeling pity for that monster! You should be happy that her life has become miserable! You should… not lower yourself to her level. You are the Prince of Harmony and thus, you must seek to spread harmony.
>Dang it, sometimes you wish that you could be more like Discord and not think too hard this kind of stuff.
>But alas, you were you and as such, you felt the necessity of…ugh… comforting Chrysalis.
>You couldn’t even pretend that you were feeling too weak to help her either. Your strength had come back, at least enough for you stand up and talk normally.
>So you did exactly that. You stood up, walked to the edge of Chrysalis’ throne, contemplated one last time if you really didn’t go insane and when the answer was “maybe not” you heavily sighed.
“Chrysalis, what’s wrong with you?”
>”I already told you to shut up!” Chrysalis looked away from you as she basically extended all over her throne “The last thing I want to do right now is to get into another useless discussion about why I am so evil”

>You rolled your eyes and sighed once more.
“Don’t be a sad pickle or rather, don’t try to act dumb with me. Y’know very well what I mean. What’s the matter?”
>Chrysalis lazily raised her head, her face showed nothing but annoyance “Do you believe that you will get your freedom back by trying to empathize with me?”
“Nah, the army of dragons coming your way will take care of that. I’m just asking ‘cause you look… well… absolutely miserable”
>Chrysalis kind of adopted a more straight posture and raised an eyebrow at you “And for the past week I have made your life miserable too. Why do you care about how I am feeling right now?”
“I’m honestly asking that same question myself, and the answer that I always get is… C’mon Chrysalis, you know what the answer is, so please don’t make me give a super cheesy speech”
>”Aaah, yes, it’s the nature of ponies to seek friendship, even amongst their greatest foes. A trait that many would say is admirable” Chrysalis shook her head and groaned “But not me, I hate you more than any other creature I have encountered. The mere thought of making friends with you makes me want to puke my guts out.”
“Trust me, you are not in my list of favorite ponies either, but okay… if you don’t want to talk about your feelings…uhh… lemme think… oh yeah, before I made that cactus joke with your dream book, you mentioned something about bad things happening outside Equestria, and it made me remember these guys who made a cult that worships this guy called King Sombra”
> Chrysalis’ jolted with surprise as she leaned forward in her throne ”Those lunatics are still around?!”
“Kind of? I overheard my moms talking about how they have been more active lately.”

>It didn’t took long for Chrysalis to return to her depressing mood “I can’t believe it but you did it. You made Equestria sound like a place that I don’t want to deal with anymore”
“Are those guys that dangerous?”
>”The cult itself? Nah, they are nothing but a bunch of edgy dorks. Even those weaklings that you call guards can take care of them with ease, but King Sombra?” Chrysalis placed her hoof on her face and groaned “If those insane ponies manage to bring him back, then I can guarantee you that all of us are going to have a grim future…. Know what? Let’s change the subject before my headache gets worse”
“Dang it! You cut it when it was getting good! Okay…uh…how about… you tell me who that Storm King guy is?”
>”Of course I know who he is!” Chrysalis rolled her eyes as she rested her head on her hoof ”The question is, why should I tell you?”
“Well, I’ve never heard that name before, not in school, not from my moms, not even from Discord and because, once a dragon burst through those walls and destroys your throne, it will pretty much be game over for you. So c’mon, just tell me, who knows? Maybe if that guy is bad enough, you will convince me to join forces with you”
>”That’s the stupidest reasoning you could have possibly come up with.” Chrysalis rubbed her temples and sighed "But you won’t stop pestering me until I tell you. Fine. The Storm King is a crazy monster who has managed to conquer half of the entire world. There, you happy?”
“Not really… Chrysalis, are you serious about this guy? I mean, if he really is that much of a threat then why I have never heard of him?”
>”Because you and the rest of your pathetic kin live in that perfect bubble that you call Equestria. There is no chance that you could know what lies beyond your kingdom”
“But you do! C’mon Chrysalis, we can’t just stand here and wait for the Storm King to knock on our door!”

>”Oh, here it comes.” Chrysalis looked away from you and groaned “The moment where you try to convince me to drop my evil ways and join forces with you. Let me save you the trouble. That is never going to happen”
“AND WHY NOT?! Discord did a lot of messed up stuff and my moms still forgave him! The only thing stopping an alliance between Equestria and the changelings is your stupid stubbornness!”
>Chrysalis rolled her eyes and chuckled “Did you forget that we need to feed from the love of others in order to survive? I very doubt that Celestia would allow us to prey on her subjects just because I had a change of heart”
“Chrysalis, don’t play fool with me. You know darn well that you don’t have to feed on the love of others.”
> Chrysalis became filled with rage ”DON’T YOU DARE TO FEED ME ON THOSE LIES, YOU LITTLE SHRIMP! The hunger of changelings can never be satisfied! You know nothing of my children or what it takes to be their Queen!”
“I know that it took Thorax less than a frickin’ day how to find out the way to get rid of his hunger! The only thing he had to do is to share his love and friendship with others! C’mon Chrysalis, if he could do it then you can do it too! You only have to do what a leader does and listen to others in order to find a better way”
>”I SAID SHUT YOUR MOUTH!” Chrysalis flew out of her throne and furiously landed in front of you “It is me who decides what is better for my children!” She started to pant heavily “Sharing love with others? Do you think that I have the luxury to do that? Do you think that I haven’t tried?!”
>Wait… in both occasions, Chrysalis referred to herself, not the other changelings. Something happened to her, you didn’t know what and certainly didn’t have much evidence to back this claim, but you were sure about it.
“So your children can share their love but you can’t? So that’s the reason why… Chrysalis, work with me, alright? Tell me what’s causing it, I’m sure that together we can find a solution!”

>”Oh, I have already tried, believe me, little Anon.” Chrysalis’ face became grim “I have tried since long before Equestria was created.”
>You quickly shook your head as you stomped your hoof on the ground.
“Yeah, but you didn’t have somepony like me before! I’ll help you Chrysalis, I swear on my title that I will”
>A grim smile suddenly appeared on Chrysalis’ face ”You shouldn’t make promises that you can’t fulfill, little Anon.”
>You tilted your head as you walked closer to Chrysalis.
“What do you mean?”
>”It means that I’m tired of you.” She turned away from you and called out for someone “Captain Pharynx!”
>The odd looking changeling quickly flew into the throne room and saluted her “Y-Yes, my Queen?”
>Chrysalis waved her hoof dismissively ”Take that pest into the lowest and darkest section of the hive and destroy him”
>You felt your heart stopping for a second after hearing those words. A rush of adrenaline suddenly kicked in as you jumped back and said.
“WHAT?!”
>”B-But” Pharynx looked at you and then at Chrysalis “What about your plan, my Queen?”
>”The plan has changed” Chrysalis shrugged as she flew back to her throne “I have no use for the likes of him anymore”
>”Very well, my Queen.” Pharynx slowly nodded “I-I shall gather a squad and make sure that your orders are executed immediately”
>”A squad? No, that would be too kind.” Chrysalis rested her head on her hoof and chuckled “Get the slaves and let them finish the job”
>”A-As you wish, my Queen” He then turned to you and grabbed you by the leg “Come with me, you filthy pony!”
>You struggled as hard as you could, but… every second that passed, you felt weaker and weaker. You turned to Chrysalis, her horn was glowing… that… frickin’… idiot.
