- [19:52] Leni says, "Oh, man...there's this big ol' star."
- [19:52] Leni says, "Or the chuuurch. Or..."
- [19:52] Leni says, "All of this! "
- [19:53] Valero Task says, "We got a lot to work with."
- [19:53] Leni whirls on her heel, grinning, and taps the side of her nose.
- "You just gotta think of it like a canvas! And anything can be a canvas, if you really think 'bout it."
- (Leni)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:55] Valero slowly bobs his head up, and down to Leni's wisdom.
- "I see, I see." His one good eye drifted away from the Druid, and over towards the nearby walls of the castle, pondering something for a moment, before nodding. "Here could work... Or, we could do something inside of the church."
- "Either one sounds fine to me. Both would function as a pretty rad canvas."
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:57] The courier watches over both of the graffiti artists with a certain kind of hesitance. This was less out of worry that what they were doing was wrong, and more over the potential hassle of someone noticing them in the act. Still, was street art a crime as long as it didn't deface something considered 'sacrosanct?'
- It wasn't up to him to answer that question, and so he willingly follows along. "Don't ya use that chalk again now, Len. Think I might have some paints now socked away somewhere in this here coat..."
- (Armondt)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:59] Leni is already reaching into her coat for something, and she's almost got it before Armondt pipes up behind her- right on cue. She groans, rolls her head upside down to look at him without having to turn around, and frowns.
- "Fiiiine...I'm already tired anyway. And if I use it for everything, then it won't be as important when I do use it," she reasons, pulling her hand out of her wrinkled cloak.
- "You got all the good colors? I think...Anywhere! You wanna do inside the church, Val? Arm?"
- (Leni)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:03] A brow would be quirked at the mention of not using a special sort of chalk, something he should probably question, but for whatever reason he opts not to.
- Oh well.
- "Hm?" He states, focusing back on Leni. "Oh... Yeah, we can go to the church, and vandalize the heck out of it. That seems like a grand idea." A thumbs up would be flashed, as he prepared to follow the druid towards the church.
- It was painting time.
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:06] "Church'll do, then. Can't imagine a fella like Romani'd very much enjoy it, but if that's where your instinct tells ya to go, Val, then that's where it goes." Always important to remind everyone of the stakes. The seemingly minor stakes, all told; the Montclaire seemed like a fairly understanding chap.
- "I got what colors I got. Oughta be decent enough - figure every basic thing in that there rainbow is good enough."
- (Armondt)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:08] Leni's all about going off of instinct. All the time, almost always. With a few very rare exceptions. Armondt is there as a paint supplier and part-time voice of reason. Thankfully he's not also there as a part-time constable. That'd be awkward.
- "Church is fine to me! I just wanna paint stuff!"
- She starts off with pep in her step towards the vaunted church. It truly didn't matter where, ultimately. So long as it was done for the heck of it.
- (Leni)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:08] Valero Task asks, "Notes?"
- [20:08] Armondt says, "Looks like..."
- [20:08] {Item} You picked up Slander, Or The Truth?. Dropped by Arch. .
- [20:08] Valero Task says, "-Oh."
- [20:08] Valero Task says, "Yikes."
- [20:08] Leni says, "Huh?..."
- [20:09] Leni says, "...Oooh. Wow."
- [20:09] {Item} You drop Slander, Or The Truth?.
- [20:09] Leni exclaims, "That looks like trouble!"
- [20:09] Leni says, "And not the cool kind."
- [20:09] Valero Task says, "Mhm... Best to avoid it. Probably."
- [20:12] The note would swiftly be sat back down onto the ground, as Val folds his arms across his chest, as his one good eye scanned around the inside of the church, searching for his canvas. Which it wouldn't take long to find.
- The wall behind the pedestal at the back of the church would suffice. A few steps would be taken, as he slowly bobbed his head up, and down.
- "This'll work. Now... What should we paint on it?"
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:16] Armondt leaves the notes behind as well; he couldn't make heads or tails of it anyway even if he tried. Certainly wasn't his businses. "Ain't me who's gonna be the one paintin'. Unless I feel like it, I suppose. Really depends on what ya wanna make. Y'had the idea, so I figure y'got somewhere ya wanna go with it." He nods over at Valero, before reaching into his rucksack.
- As advertised, he's got vibrant colors. All of them vibrant, and all of them some component to the rainbow spectrum. He suspected they'd be all mixed up by the time they're done here, anyway. The cans 'thunk' against the carpet without much ceremony.
- (Armondt)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:20] Leni gives the notes a glance, but politics? Not her thing. Especially, especially not Osrona's.
- "You don't gotta if you don't wanna! It's whatever you feel, Arm," she encourages. True to her nature, it's all about desire, about that feeling, scratching that itch. And right now she's got an itch to paint something.
- Her former idea of using the dreaded death chalk is abandoned in lieu of the variety of colors and consistency that paint brings. She snags a few of every different hue in her arm with a wild grin.
- "Thanks for bringing 'em!"
- Then she turns to eyeball her canvas- the broad, bland eastern wall of the church.
- (Leni)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:25] "Well, I was thinking something anti-establishment. Though.. Perhaps I Shouldn't- Nah. Fuck it. No fear."
- A few steps would be taken down the steps, and towards the paint buckets presented towards him. "I'll take the... Red one!" His gaze darts between them until he finds the red paint can. Which, he'd quickly take towards his canvas!
- "Thank ya'!"
- With that he'd get to work drawing a rather... Poor rendition of Romani's face. Turns out! Having claw-like hands made drawing rather difficult. Yeah, that was the reason his drawing was crap, it totally wasn't... Him just being awful at drawing.
- Nooo… never that.
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:30] Armondt, for now, sticks to the center of the church. Rather than watch for anybody who might be scrambling in to catch them in the act, he decides to watch the Task at work. He's seen Leni at work plenty of times before; now he had two different canvasses to look over.
- He inspects what Valero's starting effort is, and opens his mouth to speak. But... he doesn't, because he doesn't actually want to disrupt the creative process as it happens. Obviously this was something that Valero felt. The intensity to that feeling was anyone's guess, but feelings couldn't well be denied.
- Besides, having claws for hands probably did make painting harder. And you can just forget drawing actual hands. That shit's impossible, basically.
- (Armondt)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:34] Feeling is very, very important. Certainly according to Leni. That's at least 70% of what she does. The other 30%, you might ask? That's pretty nebulous at any given time.
- The druid absolutely doesn't bother with anything so civilized as a brush for use on her canvas. Nope. She just dips her hand right into the can of green pain and starts smearing it on the wall in great, jagged stripes.
- Valero goes pretty on-the-nose with her art. Perhaps she's going for something a little more symbolic. That or she just really, really felt like painting a broad field of grass on this empty wall. Something ought to go there, after all. Why not grass?
- (Leni)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:37] Fala Ziazan asks, "...Do city folk really waste valuable trees on writing gossip? What's the fun in gossip unless you're sitting in a circle around a campfire?"
- [20:38] Valero was not a very deep individual. What you saw with him is what you got, and that reflected with his art. Witch was... Well, it was just a face, a rather poor one at that, and then four letters right alongside it.
- D O R K.
- Vandalism at it's finest.
- Mostly harmless, save for well, him defacing a holy site, but that was fine right? Almost certainly not, but would that stop him? Nope, never! In fact the new person entering wouldn't even be noticed, that's how engrossed the Warlord was in his work.
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:39] Leni says, "Yeah, they do! And it sucks."
- [20:42] Though Fala took note of this vandalism, she didn't seem to actually care; as Celestialism (or whatever bastardization New Osrona practiced)wasn't her religion and she knew precious little about it, she may have even assumed that this was actually a religious rite and not just vandalism.
- As proof of either her ignorance, audacity, or apathy, the nomad walked further into the church, hands in her pockets as she called out to the anarchists: "The keeper of knowledge- sorry, the Stellus- isn't in, I take it?"
- She didn't see the robes. Those garish, bright white robes.
- (Fala Ziazan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:46] Leni, also, is vandalizing. In her own whimsical way. She's got a different shade of paint covering each hand and works on making the eastern wall that much more colorful. A great field of green stretches out over several yards. Now she starts drawing up little stalks and makes dots of yellow at the top.
- "Nope!" she chirrups, not even a dent in her stride as she continues painting with her bare mitts.
- "You wanna paint though? We've got plenty!"
- The offer is cheery, well-meant even. The druid absolutely is not affiliated with this church; there's nothing stark white and pristine about her in the slightest.
- (Leni)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] "Huh?"
- Valero halts his painting for a moment, as he slowly turned his head around to face the newcomer, not truly caring if their vandalism was seen, or not.
- "No-" Oh, it seems like Leni had beat him to it. Nice. "Nah, he ain't here. He might be somewhere else, though." Those shoulders of Valero shrug once more, as his one good eye darted back over towards Leni, and then to the stranger.
- "If you want to join, feel fre-"
- Oh. More people. Rad.
- A paint covered claw-like hand would wave towards the new arrivals.
- "Yo."
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:50] Alastor Hirsch asks, "--- What are you doing?"
- [20:50] Valero Task says, "Painting."
- [20:50] Leni exclaims, "Painting!"
- [20:50] Alastor Hirsch says, "Oh..."
- [20:50] Alastor Hirsch exclaims, "That's cool! Continue!"
- [20:50] Valero Task exclaims, "Thanks!"
- [20:50] Alastor Hirsch says, "Make the Stellus clean it all up1"
- [20:55] A small grin would completely take over Alastor's face as he see the vandalism that was taking place. The place he was trapped in for an entire year was being ruined.
- And it brought joy to this Barsburgian.
- Slowly he would unsling his rifle, an act he did many years ago as he shot up this very church in an act of rage, perhaps it was time he reprised that role? Maybe... maybe not. He didn't care.
- "Join in hmm." He would state while he looked at the art that was being drawn. The longer he stared at it the more joy it brought him and finally he would break.
- "I should join in, huh?"
- (Alastor Hirsch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:56] As she looked to Leni, she flashed a downright massive smile of recognition. "Ah! I see how it is," she said cheerily, "I did think the walls in here are a little bland. Where are the colors? The patterns?" she asked, gesturing with a thin hand toward her own heavily-patterned clothing.
- "Even our ordinary tents are decorated with such things," she said, "Not to mention our more important ones. And yet the big city's church is so... so..." She glanced to the western wall, letting out a long sigh. "Dull. Needless to say," she said, turning back to Leni, "I appreciate the city's efforts to improve the aesthetics! Excellent job!" But she shook her head at the offer to join, explaining: "It's not my faith, though. Bad juju to meddle, probably. I'll come back for the Stellus later."
- Her hands came out of her pockets, moving to clasp behind her back as her attention turned to Alastor. "Why would they go to all this trouble to make things look nice," she asked, "Only to have the Stellus clean it up? You Barsburgians are a strange breed."
- (Fala Ziazan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:57] Fala has, for the record, completely mistaken these vandals as a professional painting company. Perhaps it's a compliment to their masterful debauchery.
- (Fala Ziazan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:58] The creature soon making it's first steps within the church. Each steps over the blueish carpet echoed all around the church as he advanced. With an absolute silence, his hands finding comfort within his pockets, he gifted Valero of his dead glare. It lacks of emotions within good reasons.
- The man soon stopped walking when he had found himself standing before Valero afar. A fatigued blink of his eyes and a light tilt of his head was an allowance to the mellow and monotonous voice to flourish.
- "... No...", he eventually stared at them. His visage still emotionless. Awaiting for them to continue.
- Because in all honesty... It is not a frozen mimic that can do much.
- (Vex)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:59] Arch says, "-"
- [20:59] Alastor Hirsch exclaims, "GET BACK IN FORMATION, ARCH!"
- [20:59] Arch says, "Ah. Yes. I still can't read."
- [21:00] Leni continues to paint, as her heart desires. Splashes of color, bright, and bold against the drab gray. That excitement fuels her and makes her painting get all the more energetic and hectic. More people start entering and you know what? That just makes it better.
- "We're not doing this cuz we're part of the city!" she chirrups, explaining as she draws several bright red petals of a flower.
- "We're doing it cuz we feel like it!! You should help us. It's real fun!"
- That's what the druid's all about. Wild, reckless enjoyment.
- (Leni)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:01] Vex says, "... No..."
- [21:02] PEOPLE ARE PAINTING. PAINTING.
- As soon as Willow spots the rest of them? Their voice turns a tad more masculine- Aggressive and outraged at the very presence of whatever they were doing. Not a lot of attention seems to be paid to what they paint, but merely to the act.
- "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE?"
- Okay, that was something that Willow actually loved to do. A matter of fact, he did describe most of his kills as being just 'a way of painting the world'.
- And then, Willow just starts walking over to the nearest wall, and starts painting something with...
- ... Hopefully, that's not blood.
- (Willow)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:02] Leni exclaims, "PAINTING!"
- [21:02] Willow says, "WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME."
- [21:02] Leni exclaims, "CUZ I WAS PAINTING!"
- [21:02] Willow says, "YEAH BUT I GOT PRIORITY ON PAINTING STUFF."
- [21:03] Y'know what, he had just been focusing on drawing on thing in particular, but honestly why bother with that? So the little drawing he had started would swiftly find itself SWEPT over by an array of paint in a bunch of different colors.
- He was going with the flow, and he was loving every second of it.
- To the point that he didn't even care that more, and more people kept coming in.
- "PAINTING! WOO!"
- The teenager shouted, as he got back to work turning the back wall of the church into his canvas. Which for the record, whatever it was he was drawing was really, really awful.
- Claw hands, man... They make drawing really hard.
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:03] Arch asks, "Can I paint a horse?"
- [21:03] Leni exclaims, "Yeah!"
- [21:03] Valero Task says, "Of COURSE."
- [21:03] Leni asks, "Is that what you wanna paint?"
- [21:03] Arch exclaims, "- VERY WELL!"
- [21:03] Leni exclaims, "Then paint it!"
- [21:03] Alastor Hirsch asks, "Can I do proformance art?"
- [21:03] Willow says, "NO."
- [21:03] Willow says, "THAT'S MY THING."
- [21:04] Leni asks, "Do you feel like it!?"
- [21:04] Alastor Hirsch asks, "Can we share?"
- [21:04] Willow says, "Yeah."
- [21:04] Arch says, "Perform."
- [21:04] Willow exclaims, "We can share!"
- [21:04] Valero Task exclaims, "WOO!"
- [21:04] Alastor Hirsch says, "I have my own, thank you though."
- [21:04] Alastor Hirsch exclaims, "Throw shit up for me so I can shoot it!"
- [21:04] Arch says, "Damn."
- [21:07] Fala's silver eyes continued to watch as Leni set to work once more; her hands seemed unable to decide where they actually wanted to be, as no sooner did she have them clasped behind her back did she move them back into her pockets again. "Yeah!" she said cheerily. "That'll really liven this place up!"
- Leni's explanation that they were doing this because they wanted to, however, did give her some pause. Her expression changed into one of confusion at first. In the next moment, she was frowning. "Wait - you're not part of the city?" she asked, brow furrowing. A hand came up from her pocket to idly scratch at the blue triangles tattooed right beneath her eyes. "The Stellus didn't hire you?"
- It finally clicked for her. She got it now - they weren't hired painters at all! Her gaze narrowed as she trod across the carpet, the shaman closing the gap between her and the druid.
- This did, unfortunately, break their formation.
- "I can't believe this," she said quietly, eyes darting from Leni to the vandalism. "This is just-"
- She shook her head.
- "I can't believe this!" she repeated, "You're out here volunteering to paint this place! There's still good in the world after all!" she said cheerily, hands going to her hips. "And it's not even your community!"
- She did, however, add quietly: "Still think it's bad juju to paint something outside of your own faith, though. Careful."
- (Fala Ziazan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:13] Armondt finally snaps back to life, and it's around now that he realizes that beyond everybody's individual painted works committed to the church's walls, there are a lot more people than there were before. Who knew that painting frescoes could attract so much attention? He wheels around on his heel to note just about everybody who's shown up here.
- Leni paints a vibrant landscape of whatever she feels like, and Valero makes a statement. A statement that might need more technical improvement, but hey, art is art.
- Just a little bit overwhelmed by all of the people clustered in here all at once, Armondt takes a few gentle steps back towards the opening of the hallway. The formation was already pretty much done and dusted; now it was just a crowd of people admiring art for art's sake.
- (Armondt)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:13] It is when everyone jumped in and took the decision to try. Vex wanted to partake as well, gifting the group of his aid.
- The creature made a first step forward. His own personal painting which lies amidst the other way around blossomed as arms of shadows which caressed his frame or merely ornate this one... A raise of his left arm which slid off his pocket allowed a pulsation of a mana flow to rose and grasp a reasonable amount of paint. Of that emotionless visage, he labored his creation. With the aid of his knowledge in the manipulation of masses, he created a flow of paint, then drew a very wide and detailed phalus upon the wall within the far end of the church. Whoever walk within the church could only see this as they walk in.
- … A big phalus…
- The creature, satisfied of his creative labor allowed a light smile to flourished upon his visage and his left hand to hide once again within the pocket of his coat. He stood silent, no words needed to be spoken. His work was done, he soon took his leave as his work of art was done.
- (Vex)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:13] Performance art.
- It was Willow's specialty. Alastor had heard his music, his dances, his performances, his poetry, oh... his poetry! He released the hit single Rat Ranch Seven! The greatest poem of all time, the national anthem of the Essharn Empire!
- No one could compare and yet he allowed Alastor to share the spotlight.
- His rifle would be raised as he aimed it a statue Maltziel, the iron sights planted right on the High Angel's head and then,
- BANG!
- A shot would ring out as it's head was destroyed in utter art. Stone crumbled down and yet it wouldn't be enough. His rifle would find the next target, a statue of Leonaus.
- BANG!
- And yet two targets wouldn't satisfy him, his rifle would find the next, a picture of the Stellus, Romani Monticlare.
- BANG!
- Another, but definitely not the final shot would ring out as a mana bullet pierced right into his head.
- Tonight was the start of something beautiful.
- (Alastor Hirsch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:14] Willow just continues painting. Soon enough, they rise themselves to some of the upmost parts of the church, and just start painting at the ceiling. In fact, they seem to have gotten an impressive amount of paint in their storage.
- It was all filled with excruciating detail. Every single arm, flesh- It seemed like it was nearly a living person that was put there, tracing back to the contacts between Kraus, the creator, and his creation; The progression of the ages, the blessings given by angels and the strength of the masses on the ritualization of religion!
- All painted to a point of realism that nearly would let anyone glimpse into the inside of Willow's soul. Perhaps they were just the best artist that ever stepped into this land, possessed by an innate sense of appreciation for the craft itself, that no detail was too much. It took a couple of minutes to draw even the tiniest of fingers.
- One of the main ones?
- Two people, nearly naked. One,the holy figure of Kraus, the archangel's finger nearly touching that of the first few men, a blessing to their creation...
- But then, they bust a can of grafitti out.
- And start fixing what was ALREADY in the ceiling of the church, along with their own fine painting.
- (Willow)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:18] Valero and Leni, whether they'd meant to or not, had started a whole thing. Not a bad thing, but decidedly a thing that's attracted a crowd of onlookers and fellow artists.
- "Nope! Don't really live anywhere. I wander all over with Arm over there! We like livin' free and stuff. It's pretty much the best way to live!"
- She's only delighted as more join in with the work, and she chatters back at Fala as she puts the finishing touches on her piece. A few bold words are drawn beside her latest masterpiece.
- 'LESS WALLS. MORE FLOWERS'
- It's a fitting statement, and she admires it for several seconds before, as the mood strikes her, she starts setting acorns along the edge of the wall.
- (Leni)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:18] Perhaps Alastor's 'performance art' should've awoken Fala to what was actually going on here. Their painting up to this point was fairly harmless, and it seemed to resonate with her and her culture in a way that she didn't find a single bit of this even remotely suspicious. Perhaps it may have been expected for her to turn to Alastor and ask what he was even thinking.
- Perhaps...
- Or perhaps she responded in the most logical way, completely ignoring Willow's beautiful fixes and Leni's continued explanation. The first shot rang out, and like any unarmed, ostensibly nonmagical person in an active shooter situation, she just booked it. No way she's getting shot on her first day in Osrona.
- (Fala Ziazan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:19] Leni exclaims, "-Oh! G'bye!"
- [21:20] Armondt is almost entirely overwhelmed. There is so much gods-damned art going on right now.
- (Armondt)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:21] The drawing that was once Romani, had been SWIFTLY replaced by something far more interesting, or... Well, something that fit the whole theme of what everyone else here was painting, something FUN.
- Well... Except for the thing... Vex had drawn, but they weren't going to dwell on that now.
- Instead, he'd finish his rather poor drawing of... A pirate! Why a pirate? Because they were... Free, or something.
- Who knows?
- After taking a few steps back to admire his horrendous work, Valero would slowly nod his head.
- "It's perfect." It wasn't in the slightest. His gaze would then flicker back towards everyone else present here. "Good work everyone, the CHURCH is a much better place now!"
- It wasn't.
- "Everything looks fucking rad."
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:22] Alastor Hirsch exclaims, "We should scram!"
- [21:22] Valero Task says, "Oh yeah.. We should."
- [21:22] Valero Task says, "Like."
- [21:22] Valero Task says, "Leave."
- [21:22] Alastor Hirsch exclaims, "CROC GANG, DEPART!"
- [21:23] Leni exclaims, "HAHA! Arm, c'mon!"
