Church of Profit, Brief History [Edited]

Our church was not always at the forefront of saving souls, and offering great deals on all your favorite products and servants, once we were misunderstood outcasts that were driven underground by heretics and the unwise. Early Church
	In the beginning the our great prophet, Profit, sent by the celestial told of the free market and how it could advance us to a paradise in life, and ensure we remain there in death. Through their teachings we grew and attracted new followers. But the communal heretics and non-believers did not like this, they reject these teachings as they knew them to be truth. They drove our early leaders and followers underground, though that was their mistake in assuming that they had broken our will.
	Soon we branched out in the underground taking in the rejects of their failing communal society. Using these connections and new devout followers, loyal to our first Confessor Exalted Ordainer (CEO), progress was made at lightning speed. We were able to support ourselves and many communities through these backdoor's we had established, helping those at a discount who truly needed the help. Soon the officials and heretics of the planet were unable to keep order in their crumbling society, and thus were thrown out leaving a power vacuum and chaos. Our followers and shareholders were fortunate as they lived well, and could weather this and any storm.
	Using the teaching of Profit, we stepped in to help not just our own communities, but others as well. With the degenerate teachings of the now apostates being thrown out for a new and prosperous life, the grand ambition of our church could truly begin.

	With the advancements made under the church corporate authority, reaching space and beyond was inevitable. The population needed to consume, so our church following Profit’s teaching supplied the products and materials that they craved. This caused an economic boom, the median standard of living was the highest it had ever been and the troublesome apostates were nearly wiped out from society. Our church was on a meteoric rise, and all seemed well. That was until the discovery of entire space faring empires of heretics, apostates, and degenerates.
	We always believe in peace, as peace means profit, and profit is the way to salvation. Despite this, we could not have our minds corrupted, and thus the Hidden Reserves (HR) became the gatekeepers of our minds and prevented corruption from entering. Promoting social doctrine and group unity in the face of such a challenge to Profit’s teachings was paramount to the continuing improvement of the lives in our Church and for all who we come in contact with.
	However, good ideas and prosperity don’t require force. To that end our Church has begun diplomatic and trade relations with all of the empires of the galaxy to further prove that our way of life, our Profit, is the solution to their problems.Using time tested methods to increase our margins and promote quality behavior and goods, we expand our branch offices to new worlds, new peoples, and new horizons.

Modern Church
	In the best of days and the darkest of nights; when all seems lost, look to the Church for its guiding light. The slogan for the most recent ad campaigns, that helps promote unity and longevity of prosperity for every interstellar municipality in the galaxy. As our holy officers expand our influence, we can be seen almost everywhere. Our ads and slogans filling the air from the lowest slums, to the highest echelons and assembly halls of what is considered to be a “Galactic United Nations”, we are now truly spreading our wings.
	With these wings, our Church will show the empires of this galaxy how to be prosperous and rid themselves of their own sins. We have been structured efficiently and maximized for rapid progress while allowing for our population to maintain its traditions while expanding and progressing rapidly.While capital can cause ruin if misused, it can also cause great advancement in the proper hands.
