- S Walk, Thanks for your effort and information. It’s far more than the backers receive from the unprofessional, thievery corporation known as Indiegogo.
- That Shebaz turned out to be a real piece of shit, hiding under rocks and refusing to take responsibility….not that it matters. He’s the sort of guy that will ‘explain’ the situation by saying it’s not his fault.

- So I lied. Some yahoo named Don McLaren told me my attitude said crowdfunding isn't for me. Well, Don, you're right. It's not. Seeing as how we didn't even get a kiss with this f*ing, why should it be. It's also funny that Shebaz blocked me from following his account, as if I wanted to...

- It’s lack of communication and response from Indiegogo and campaigns like this that destroy the abilities of legitimate ideas from getting off the ground. I’m done with Indiegogo and any campaigns through them. They collected their money and could care less about any of us. Screw them.

- Companies House doesn’t have any kind of legal oversight beyond declaring a company ongoing or dissolved, based on registration documents filed (or lack thereof) with them.

- Companies House published notice that Montrose Innovations Limited is formally dissolved as of January 30th, 2017. Documentation to be available in 5 days,
- This leaves Wedg Limited, if such a company still exists, without a directorship. As no company answers to this name at the published address, I feel that both will eventually be dissolved.
- This pretty much means there is no chance of this project completing. Indiegogo doesn’t care, and we’re left holding the bag.

- At this point, a letter of intent to strike will be published. 2 months later, the company, at the pleasure of the solicitor handling the proceedings, will be struck from the rolls and formally dissolved upon publication of a notice in the relevant document.

- 1) What is the current status of the Project?
- 2) Is there anything which can be shared public? Like source code?
- 3) What is the actual status of the WEDG ltd?
- 4) Who is ‘Carol Bohm-Scott’? What is his role?
- 5) Are there posibilities to divide the unused money? If there is any?

They don’t have to care because there is no accountability. They have their money. The fact that the campaign fleeced us of funds – by bad intentions or bad luck, we’ll never truly know – is nothing that they are ever going to care about. At least, not until the money stops because of said bad press!

- real use, warning anyone that stumbles upon this page as a ‘Here be dragons’ missive, but to add my tuppence to the mix, here’s my message to IG in full:
- Hi,
- I received an email from you this morning, cheerfully informing me that “It’s been a while since you’ve visited Indiegogo” and asking the – “Would You Like to Start Raising Money?” The inference of course, that Indiegogo is a wonderful platform for doing so. (3)

- Must admit though, it did push my buttons somewhat. So I fired back a missive through their customer support service – as pointless a task as I can imagine – and vented my frustrations over this project. It made me feel better at least; I’ve long since been resigned to having lost £250 on this piece of vapourware, but that casual email enquiring as to why I’ve not a happy regular user of IG’s platform caused me the need to have my say. As a cautionary tale, it’s way too late to be of any (2)

- Hello all, long term backer (all the way back to the failed Kickstarter) and long term lurker here, and I’ve stayed quiet, knowing that I might as well be screaming into a cave to register my dissatisfaction. However, I received an email from Indiegogo this morning, entitled ‘Start raising money with Indiegogo’ Some of you may have received the same. The email itself was a cheerful reminder that I hadn’t visited in a while, the usual vacuous platitudes served up in any advertising copy. (1)

- Yep. Marked “Solved” with no input at all, about 2 hours ago (about 2100UTC).
- Indiegogo simply doesn’t care once the money changes hands, and it’s pretty obvious that they’re not going to do anything to help.
- So, Ladies and Gentlemen, I consider my money to be stolen. Unfortunately, authorities aren’t going to open an international case for US$300. Guess it sucks to be me (and you.)

- Dropped another note to Indiegogo about Wedg. Got this in my email:
- “Please note, we’ve recently received an increased number of requests, and as a result, it may take us a little longer than normal to respond. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.”
- Really. People getting pissed at not even getting so much as a “Fuck You” from campaigns, perhaps?

- Over 3 months since the last update. Indiegogo has written this project off, as they close tickets without even replying. Where should we hold the funeral for this project?

- @dbrissenden, I reached out to a number of UK entities some time ago. The only thing they could tell me is that since I wasn’t a UK resident, all they could do was note my query.

- I’ve had enough of this deceit so I have reported to ActionFraud for them to decide whether there is a case to answer to.
- I would urge anyone who believes this is a fraud to do the same at http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report-a-fraud-including-online-crime
- I provided them with as much information as I was able to regarding when the money was taken, lack of communication, refusal to engage with backers along with the new companies which have cropped up, mysterious name changing etc….

- @Ian Cockburn -as mentioned 4 months ago -Carol Bohm-Scott is a ghost/fictional character (allegedly) in a game being played to obfuscate matters relating to WEDG and the whereabouts of OUR MONEY. A company has been created with an address at a hot desk office – I bet if you turned up at the address you would not find any evidence of the company ever having been there other than having paid one months rent. Unfortunately, we need a backer with friends in low places to sort this out. (allegedly)

- And looking up the details of his new company, it seems to be in exactly the same place as Wedg was.. at the Innospace MMU Business Incubator. Has anyone managed to find out anything about Montrose Innovations and Carol Bohm-Scott ?

- Based on this, I do wonder how much work/legal meetings were actually carried out on Wedg, or were we just fed lies and have been scammed? Given that it’s been now 2 months since the last communication…

- It seems that Mr. Afzal is not longer with Wedg (having left Nov 2016). Currently running Indiefalcon Limited a mobile app developer (since July 2016). This is according to his https://www.linkedin.com/in/shehbazafzal/. On further searching, it seems that Indiefalcon was something that he has had on the backburner for a while – marketing reported posted Feb 4, 2016 – https://www.slideshare.net/JakeStainton/indiefalcon-project-report.

- Interesting enough. I opened up my request four days ago and recently Indiegogo decided to set it to a “SOLVED” status without any explanation. I have opened a new request for them to explain this “new” way of handling requests from backers. My suggestion to others whom have submitted recent requests to Indiegogo is to check the status.

- @rickyfew The spectrum campaign was still being funded, which is why IGG could shut it down.
- Our money has floated away into the void of bad venture capital.
- It sounds like its time for everyone to write another complaint email to the goons at gogo. If we do this every month, maybe they will get the hint…

- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anwy2MPT5RE a possible Wedg sing along video just change the p to c in the word spam. Funny how the shape of the Wedg unit resembles the Viking helmet without the horns. Any backers with video skills who can create a parody video to the sound track using multiple images of the Wedg unit with horns attached and upload it to Youtube? It may get some much needed publicity to highlight the disgrace that is Team Wedg.

- Latest update – more unverifiable tripe. “While many of you feel the project is a scam…” nothing can be closer to the truth would be more apt. If this is not a scam the writer of the update should properly Identify themselves and provide verifiable evidence to support what is being said. If the writer, aka Team Wedg does not then logic would dictate that it is a scam.

- I’ve joined the troops to find out the truth about all this. I’ve just sent an email to IGG. I think if more and more backers do the same we might be able to speed things up.
- Next step for me will probably be reporting the fraud to UK gov (suggested by @Nikolai Tesla https://www.sfo.gov.uk/contact-us/reporting-serious-fraud-bribery-corruption/ and @Cosmarchy in his open email to WEDG http://pastebin.com/JQR0FD1N)
- Keep you posted about any IGG answer…

- Here is the IGG (automated) answer: “Thanks for reaching out. While perk offers are made and managed by campaign owners, we at Indiegogo expect campaign owners to communicate regularly with their contributors. I am sorry to see that this has not been the case with this campaign. We will send a message to the campaign owner to remind them of their responsibilities to keep you and backers updated on the status of their project. In addition, I encourage you to get in touch with them directly. …”

- Although I don’t really believe this is a scam, I do think someone screwed up big time. Really frustrating to bury that much money. Actually I really needed such a device two years ago. Now I don’t anymore as I had to find other solutions. Most expesive paperweight of my life.

- Yet another email to Indiegogo went a few minutes ago. I suggest everyone do the same.
- If you’re in the UK, you may be eligible for a refund under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, if you paid for any portion of the funding with a credit (not debit) card.

- @Gaston Cardey, at this point I can’t believe the update from Wedg was more than hush money paid to keep Indiegogo from cancelling the campaign.
- There is absolutely no reason why more frequent updates can’t be given – it’s not like said director has to report to an office in some far off city to submit it.

- A change of director for me is welcomed and overdue. Rather than bashing the new director and company I’m going to be positive and hope that Montrose Innovations can rescue the situation. Carol, please introduce yourself and the team and what roles you all will play. How do you intend to move forward? Regular updates are essential to backers preferably once a week. An update which has very little information or maybe includes setbacks must still be posted. We need to be kept in the loop.

- They don’t tell you in an open way, but if you read between lines, it’s perfectly clear: “We can’t do anything, sorry. The campaign owner is another failure of this crownfunding way. We have another guy who scam the backers (another and the total goes up to…).

- ... "While your contribution brings the campaign idea closer to becoming reality, there's always the chance that a project may end up falling through, and the campaign owner may not be able to offer their contributors the perks they'd originally promised. If you’re still interested in receiving a refund, we recommend you get in touch with the campaign owner directly. Campaign Owner's: Carol Bohm-Scott, carol.bs@wedg.co" = You're all dumbs and you're scammed. But we (IGG) have our money.
