  1. Q: Why is it called Fluidity/Hydroventure?
  2. A: Fluidity is the US version's title. In Europe, the title is Hydroventure.
  3.
  4. Q: What platform is Fluidity/Hydroventure on?
  5. A: Nintendo Wii. It is a WiiWare game.
  6.
  7. Q: How much does it cost to download?
  8. A: 1200 Wii Points, or $12 US.
  9.
  10. Q: Do you play it on Wii or Wii U's Wii emulator, and is there any difference?
  11. A: I play on an unmodded Wii with GameCube support. I have not tried this game on a Wii U and don't know if there would be any difference.
  12.
  13. Q: What is the World Record for this game?
  14. A: The Any% WR is 1:39:08 by MaturedSinner. There is no WR for Low% or 100% yet.
  15.
  16. Q: What counts as Low%/Any%/100%?
  17. A: "Any%" only needs to reach the credits, and currently that only requires 55 Rainbow Drops to open the final area of the game and collect the last Rainbow Drop with any abilities and/or Jigsaw Pieces. "100%" collects all 89 Rainbow Drops and all 60 Jigsaw Pieces. "Low%" aims to collect as few objects as possible, including skipping Squirt, Gather, Jigsaw Pieces, and possibly more as new things are discovered, although no formal route is in place yet. All categories finish the game to play the credits.
  18.
  19. Q: How many Rainbow Drops do you need to get X?
  20. A: The Red Doors with numbers on them unlock when you have at least the number of Drops as the number on the door. Specifically, You need 4 for Gather, 9 for HoI1, 18 for Stick, 22 for HoI2, 27 for Thunder, 31 for Gust, 37 for HoI3, and 55 for HoI4. There are other doors that require a certain number of Drops, however they just open up more areas to collect Rainbow Drops, and I don't go through all of these doors. As for the other abilities, Ice is available after you beat the Chapter 1 HoI, Cloud and Suction are available after you beat the Chapter 2 HoI, and Squirt is available after you beat the Chapter 3 HoI.
  21.
  22. Q: What does HoI# stand for?
  23. A: HoI stands for Heart of Influence, which are the boss areas in each chapter. The number after it represents which chapter the Heart of Influence is in. So, HoI1 would be in Chapter 1, and so on.
  24.
  25. Q: How is this game played?
  26. A: The controls have you holding the Wiimote sideways with the D-Pad on the left side. You tilt the Wiimote left and right to tilt the game world. Tilting forward and back makes the Cloud go up and down, which can be inverted in settings. Shaking the Wiimote up and down makes Water and Ice jump, and makes the Cloud rain. The 1 button controls the Gather, Stick, and Suction abilities. Pressing 1 and the D-Pad activates the Gust ability, and pressing 1 and Up D-Pad activates the Squirt ability. Pressing 2 charges Thunder and selects forms in the changing areas. A, -, and + are all menu and map controls. B does nothing.
  27.
  28. Q: What do you do in the settings after the first Rainbow Drop, and why do it then?
  29. A: I go in the settings to change 2 things. First is the Cloud vertical controls. I invert them so that it make sense to me and also a little easier to maneuver some tight spaces. Second is the max tilt settings. I change it to Steep so that I tilt the screen at a higher angle, thus going faster down hills. I do this after the first Drop so I can mash text before that Drop, and also it doesn't seem to help speed up that first area anyways.
  30.
  31. Q: There are a few times where text doesn't seem to pop up for you. Why doesn't it come up?
  32. A: There are a couple areas in the tutorial level where splitting up your pool of water tricks the game into thinking you haven't hit the trigger for the text while still completing the objective. This works by keeping the slight majority of water away from the trigger. The area by Gather seems to not activate a cutscene in a similar way, however it seems keeping a smaller amount of water away avoids starting the cutscene. In Stick's area, the trigger for some text boxes can be jumped over, and thus avoided altogether.
  33.
  34. Q: Are there any glitches in this game, and do you use any in a speedrun?
  35. A: There are some glitches and unintended things involved with skipping Gather, however it is a long process and not really useful when trying to go fast. It's also possible to skip Squirt by abusing physics, however that skill is so useful in the late game that not getting it or using it is incredibly slow. Otherwise, no useful glitches have been found yet.
