Michael had been working  his control over his Ki techniques, it seemed nowadays he had to rely more on it then his ability to channel it around his fist to better strike down his foes. But as doing so, he found that hitting his target with energy based attacks was a bit easier said then done.

 Though that's where a few tricks or luck picked up the slack, but he didn't want to rely on them solely , but that's why he was here in the middle of the ocean on this island. He had been trying to replicate the skill he had seen done ones before , the same he spent hours trying to find a counter to. He saw the potential it held and it's ability to give one the opening to land an attack while the other is put on the defensive. It was something he desperately needed in his arsenal, anything that would give him time to cast his spells was a god send.


 He tried remembering exactly how the other had done it, what he had felt when they use it. He remembered a burst of energy shoot out from them so that's where he would start. He focused his energy and then tried to shoot it out in a wave around him. .  Kind of like a ripple or field. With a few tries he was able to push out a wave of energy but what that did was nothing as the energy wasn't programmed to do anything. He continued practicing this wanting to get a feel for it before trying program the energy in the field to do anything but creating such a field of energy was taxing

 Time  and time again he tried this with rest in between till finally an attempt produced a single orb of energy. He found that actually just letting the field form around him more like a spider's web and having the web still connected to his flow of energy allowed him to more easily manipulate the energy.

 He focused this orb to move about before giving it a target on the ground. He watched as the energy orb unsurprisingly followed his whim and stuck the ground exploding on impact. He smiled to himself feeling like he got the basics of this technique and sat on the ground tired from the amount of energy he used up trying to get it correct
