- ███ TRANSCRIPT: CHILD PSYCHOLOGY SESSION ██
- ███ FILE ID: 2019-10-14-0207 ██
- Dr. H: Can you tell me again why you don’t like to sleep in your room?
- [Silence for 11 seconds. A faint tapping sound is noted on the recording.]
- Child: …Because he smiles at me.
- Dr. H: Who smiles at you?
- Child: The man in the vent.
- Dr. H: Do you mean someone outside, or a dream you had?
- Child: (shakes head) No. He’s inside. He lives there.
- Dr. H: Inside… the vent in your room?
- Child: (nods) He watches when I sleep. His eyes are little, red… like the dots on your TV when it’s broken.
- [At this point, child becomes visibly distressed. Begins whispering.]
- Child: He said if I tell you, he’ll crawl out. He said he remembers your name too.
- [Audio ends abruptly. File corrupted.]
