- >”Are you kidding? Are you joking?” Libby says as she stands up from the kitchen table, pleading with her cousin.
- >”What? What’d I do?” Lemy shrugs, confused.
- >Lincoln was combing through his notes and cross-referencing with the monster manual
- >”You threw us into a gelatoneaus cube! We’re dead! You killed us!” Lyle says, his head in his hands.
- >”What!? Can’t your archer, like shoot some arrows?”
- >”I already acted this round.” Lyle picks up a die and rolls it in his hands.
- >”What about next round?”
- >”We’re gonna be dead, the cube acts last.” Lyle corrects.
- >Liby is pulling her hair and pacing. “Why’d you even think that was a good idea!?”
- >”I dunno. Seemed like something a Barbarian would do, throw his comrades into combat.”
- >”I am, I was an archer. Liby was a cleric.” Lyle explains. “You’re supposed to fight and we support you.”
- >”That sounds lame. Taking all the hits myself?”
- >”That’s why you have all that health.” Lyle says.
- >”Sorry, guys, that’s really on me. It’s just your first session, I shouldn’t have started you off on that.”
- >”It’s okay, Uncle Linc. We’re still having fun. Just need to communicate.”
- >”Liby’s about to pull her hair out.” Lemy says.
- >”No, it’s just, ugh, ask next time. Just ask.”
- >”Sure...” Lemy says blushing a bit. “I’ll be a fighter next time, dual wielding sounds cool.”
- >”Yeah, might as well start rolling new characters.” Libby says as she takes her seat again.
