- It Was Her
- 1st Edit

- Day 0

- [11:30] A trainer group I frequent on the internet is discussing some unusual happenings that happen to be surrounding the city I'm in. Startled wild Pokémon from the nearby wilderness are moving in packs, there are reports of shadowy figures moving quickly at night, and one trainer even claims a friend of his was not acting like themselves.
- [12:00] I decide to investigate due to my proximity. A member in the group messages me privately and claims to be another local with a possible lead, but wants to disclose it in person. We agree on a time and location.
- [13:10] It was her. Flowing red hair, sharp blue eyes, and a smile hiding something. She doesn't seem to be a people person, but nonetheless she did tip me off about the forest not too far from the city - and only asks that I promise to investigate in return. Odd request, but the instant I said "tomorrow" while looking away, she sneaked in a smooch and was gone before I could react.
- [17:50] On arriving home I noticed an unfamiliar bead in my bag. Misplaced or intentional, I put it aside in the meantime.
- [23:30] Nothing bumping in the night. Yet.

- Day 1
- ---
- [09:00] About to depart into the forest. Neither the internet nor the authorities seem to have made any progress since yesterday morning.
- [13:00] Four hours in the forest. People weren't lying about it being a dangerous part of the country, but these Pokémon also don't seem like the kind to go bumping around town after dark.
- [16:00] Seven hours in; this place is deceptively massive. My team isn't doing so well, but unusually I also haven't seen any more Pokémon in the past hour either.
- [17:00] Thinking about leaving before it gets dark, but the map and compass on my PokéNav seem to be playing up. Perhaps my team might be able to help navigate or sniff something out.
- [18:30] Getting darker, and something is very wrong. My team and I keep seeing the same landmarks no matter the direction, and the continued absence of wild Pokémon is getting concerning.
- [20:00] It's dark. The forest feels even more oppressive than it did before, and it's really making a compounding effect on my nerves after all this time trapped here. Stoutland might as well be the only one keeping me from going insane, and he's not at ease either. We now resort to luring the threat in.
- [20:23] There's movement.

- Day 2
- ---
- [06:22] I wake up with the sun in my face, finding myself in what appears to be a den, also spotting some injuries - some of them crudely treated, even. What happened?
- [06:28] It was her. Flowing red hair, sharp blue eyes, and a smile hiding something. Her silhouette above the entrance presents me a very concerned Stoutland, which was a relief. The lady grabs my hand and we carefully move out of the den.
- [07:43] She guides me out of the forest and back to the city in silence, fixated on the path ahead. I wanted to ask her about what happened, but simultaneously I can't help but feel shameful about the incident. I thank the red-haired lady on our arrival - but as she turns to face me, her blue-eyed gaze felt familiar - was it back in the forest? As I pause, she sneaked in a smooch and left without a word, disappearing around the street corner.
- [09:00] Checked in at a Pokémon Center, thankfully my team seems to be fine. The trainer ward concludes that my injuiries were from light slashes, they replace the bandages and ask to take it easy. Doesn't explain the blackout though.
- [11:30] The trainer group on the internet said the night was a lot quieter in town. They also asked if anything happened in the forest. I reply back 'no'.
- [20:00] These wounds are aching. Maybe an early night will put my mind off it.
- [23:55] I hear bumping. Very close by.

- Day 3
- ---
- [00:05] Flowing red hair, sharp blue eyes, and a smile hiding something. Red claws presented a familiar bead. It was her.
- [01:00] Looks like she's comfortable.
