25 Hour Stream - Extra Life

I wanted to do a 24 hour stream this weekend (2nd November), and a friend told me about Extra Life. I've been reading up on Extra Life and what they do, and I felt like I wanted to be a part of it. Gaming is something that I love, and Extra Life allows me and thousands of other gamers to use their gaming passion to make a big difference for children with common childhood afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or even bigger challenges like birth defects or cancer.
   Hopefully you will enjoy my 25-hour stream this Saturday, and hopefully you are willing to help children who are in need of it. I think that I can pull in some good money for this cause using my gaming, and that's a really amazing feeling. I hope for this to be a success, and I hope that you will help me towards making it a success.

                                              What is Extra life?

Extra life is a community of gamers all around the world, using what they love to be able to support a great cause. Extra Life has an annual event where gamers play games for 25 hours straight, raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.


                                  What is Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals?

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $4 billion, most of it $1 at a time. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of our mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.


                                             When does this happen?

Extra Life begins at exactly 8 am in my local time zone on Saturday, Nov. 2nd, and ends at 9 am on Sunday, Nov. 3rd. In other words, I will be streaming for 25 hours straight raising money for a great cause! 8 am in Sweden would be 3 am EST.

                                       Do I need to donate during the stream?

No, you can donate already today, even after the stream. The donation links will be up and running 24/7.


                                         What do I get for donating?

You get to support an amazing cause. I will also read your donation comment out loud on stream and give you a personal thanks.                                          What are you going to play?

I'm planning to do an Ocarina of Time 100% Speedrun, my first run of it. I think there will also be a puzzle race of Majora's Mask sometime during this time period. Other than that, I will try to do some Any% Majora's Mask 1:33 Attempts, and if people convince me I might do a 100% Majora's Mask too. Then I might play some other games such as Cookie Clicker or Candy Box 2, who knows. We will just wing it.

$500 - I will have a piano session after the stream of at least 20 minutes (depends how many songs I know how to play, not really sure how long I can play)
