I've been wanting to do a bit of a fundraiser for a while now to help raise some money for my nephew to see some specialists.

From the gofundme, because I tried to write my own, but it was already so eloquently put.

"Kevin is a brilliant and cheerful little boy full of laughter and smiles. He loves nothing more than playing with his toy cars and watching paw patrol.

As happy as he is, Kevin's everyday life is a struggle for him. Kevin has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)

Autism is a complex neurobehavioral condition that includes impairments in social interaction and developmental language and communication skills. It also impaires the ability to express basic needs.

Although he has been assessed by multiple doctors, for Kevin to get the therapies he needs to excel in life he has to have an official diagnosis from a specialist. Children's Hospital has a 1-2 year waitlist to get into a specialist which is a very long time for a two year old to wait to start learning and excelling in life. Private assessments can be done much quicker and would give him the resources he needs almost immediately, but they come with a hefty fee.

Not only will these therapies make it so he can experience all the world has to offer and find joy in more than just his comfort zone, but it will also get myself and our family the education we need to continue to help Kevin thrive."
